Oct 27, 2012I do terminal monitor on my 4500 switch.I can't see the status of the interface ( when it become up or down)What is the problem? I need to add a command?

Feb 27, 2012On a 4500 switch having a single sup engine, another sup engine was installed to act as redundant one.the redundancy mode was changed to sso, thereafter the secondary sup was prompted to be reset.
After it came back up again, the redundancy status still shows as RPR in operation mode.
Cisco :: Interface Status Connected But No MAC?
Feb 18, 2011On my Switch (3750), i have a host connected. Checked the interface status and it shows as "connected". However, when i tried checking the MAC connected to that interface, its not showingI have my Switch (3750) connected to a Router (3845). On the Switch, i have a printer connected in an interface. I am seeing the Printer's MAC associated with the switch port. However, when i checked the ARP table; no entry seen for the Printer's MAC. What are the possible reasons for this? We have several same kind of devices connected to network and they are fine.

Apr 29, 2013I have cisco router 887VA.Question is when i connect that WAN port ( eth0) with any switch or laptop/pc i do not see the port in up state. What can be the reason.I have done "no shutdown " on interface level and there is no configuration on interface except the IP address , but it show " up down "state even the port is connected to some device. ( Is the port is faulty or some other reason).As per my concept it should show up state when we connect to some device ( Like router / switch / laptop).

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 6500 Show Interface Status Output As VLAN
Mar 5, 2013I have a really weired thing happening on 6509 device with one of my customers.The device has a SUP 2 (MSFC2) with version 12.2.18SXF17B.
any VLAN interface once administratively down or simply down shows on "show interface status" output as VLAN.While it supposed to show "Routed". However once the port is up it is shows "routed" like it should.

When I remove the port-control configuration on the interface, the status change to UP/UP.
Cisco Switching/Routing :: 4500 Internal Virtual Interface On SUP7
Jul 22, 2012We recently had a contractor deploy a 4500 catalyst switch with a WS-x45-SUP7-E. After installation and configurations, HP openview is detecting a "downed" interface on the 4500 chassis that is not in the configuration. I have attached an image with the interface circled. We assumed that it may be a configuration issue with openview, however after running diagnostics with a network analyzer, the same ip address for the down interface is still detected. Is this some sort of internal virtual interface on the SUP7?

There are three PowerSupplies installed with a PowerStack, also running like expectet.My problem ist to get the status-information about the chassis-fans. I couldn't find any information about the OID and the search results only in some non-useful information about the MIBs from Cisco which delivers only three information about installed fans (and fan-containers), so I guess these are the information about the fans included within the powersupply?! The chassis-fans are installed and the LEDs are green for all four fan-mounts, up and running.

Feb 23, 2011I have a number of users who are failing wireless authentication. Using the troubleshooter i notice that its show message that Active Directory servers are not available. Under the Identity stores when i check on the connection status it shows disconnected. When i click on Test connection it shows successful. This ACS is a secondary. It has happened before and i removed it from the ACS cluster, rebooted it and rejoined it. Ran test connection and it showed "CONNECTED". Now it keeps showing disconnected.

May 1, 2012I have a Cisco ASA 5505 and I have my internal and external interfaces configured but I currently cannot ping from the inside to an IP Address on the outside. I had this setup and working and I have another set of equirement that I am replacing that is working with my service provider so I know it is a configuration issue. When I ping 4.2.2.2 for example I get:

Feb 19, 2012recently my internet connection shows the status i mentioned.in cmd ,typed Ipconfig/all and all ip are 0.0.0.0, I Tried to renew the ip by ipconfig /renew it tells THE RPC SERVER IS UNAVAILABLE.and also tried to start DHCP CLIENT in services.msc and got ERROR 1068 : the depency service or group failed to start.

NCS shows Controller is not reachable from MSE. I am able to ping to and from the Controller and MSE.Sychronization service is showing everything being synchronize. Removed and MSE from NCS and add it back in several times.
Cisco Wireless :: 1142 LAP In Operational Status (Down)?
Nov 1, 2012The last three new APs I have received from our supplier (official Cisco 1142 LAPs) have all successfully connected to our 4400 series WLCs but are all reporting as being in an Operational Status of 'Down' ie their A/B/G/N radios are not broadcasting even though the APs are all in an enabled state. Furthermore, there is no steady green light showing on the APs - there is no light showing whatsoever (although they were displaying the familiar red-orange-green lights while they were pulling down the IOS images from the WLCs).
The only strange thing I have noticed is that in the AP config screen, the ‘Mini IOS version’ is shown as being v7.3.x. The other – working APs – we have of the 1142 series show v3.x. I know that controller code v7.2 and above only work with the newer 5500 and 7500 series WLCs. Could this be the issue and have any of you seen this issue previously? I am running WLC code v7.0.230.0.
Cisco LAN :: 3502i AP Operation Status In Downloading?
Jun 24, 2012I have an issue with two APs (3502i) which is associated to controller wism2. Total number of APs are connected to this controller is 422 and once I added two new APs (3502i) to this controller I am unable to see these APs coming up. Getting error messages like wrong primary controller nad secondary controller. When I loggedin to the controller through CLI following are the details I am getting for the APs which is not registering to the controller:, Also for comparison I am attaching the statistics for the AP which is working good and is able to register.
Note: I thought the problem with these two APs and will try replacing them but when i connected the other two APs to different switch and different subnet the same errors we are seeing.

Nov 21, 2011i still newbie to configure eBGP, i have Router 3600 series, and i configure BGP neighbor to my ISP, but the peer still don't established,there is warning like this, Connections established 339; dropped 339 "Last reset 2w4d, due to Peer closed the session No active TCP connection"
any one can explain to me about "due to Peer closed the session"? i've read some documents for troubleshooting BGP, and do some step to troubleshoot.
