requesting information via SNMP from my two stacked C3750X, running IOS 12.2(55)RE5. The stack is up and running and everything is just fine. There are three PowerSupplies installed with a PowerStack, also running like expectet. My problem ist to get the status-information about the chassis-fans. I couldn't find any information about the OID and the search results only in some non-useful information about the MIBs from Cisco which delivers only three information about installed fans (and fan-containers), so I guess these are the information about the fans included within the powersupply?! The chassis-fans are installed and the LEDs are green for all four fan-mounts, up and running.
I need to implement a "Spanning Tree Status" view on my NMS and I would like to use SNMP. I'm running Rapid Per-VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol on 3560-E (WS-C3560E-24TD) with IOS 12.2(55)SE.Using the ciscoStpExtensionsMIB MIB (CISCO-STP-EXTENSIONS-MIB) I see the stpxRSTPPortRoleTable table, which contains the stpxRSTPPortRoleValue value, and I think it could be fine for my job.The problem is that this table uses an index based on the standard dot1dBridge.1.4 table (dot1dBasePortTable) that does not report some interfaces: [code]I think the dot1dBasePortTable does not include those interfaces (5, 7, 8) where I do not run standard STP, but I need the dot1dBasePortEntry entries because I have to use them in order to get the interface ID (values like 10109, 10110, 10111).
what is the OID for See the hit status of the spefic VIP and RIP coming under the VIP .apeart from this CSS box having any module to moniter the hit status or VIP's and RIP's
May I know how to monitor temperature status of below device by SNMP.How to find the exact oid of those devices? I can only find the mib file of Nexus 5000 at url...Cisco Nexus 5010PCisco UCS 6120XP Cisco ASR 1002F
I would like to get the temperature status from this 2960 switch (and several other models. Normally this OID should be:.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.6 But it does not return anything.
The termperature status can be found from the command line by running:"sh env temp" This reports back ok, so I assume there is a temperate gauge in the switch.
This oid is part of the "CISCO-ENVMON-MIB" mib and accouding to the Cisco MIB selector it is supported on my switch and IOS - 12.2(25).
(Another thing I woudl like to monitor and should be supported is the fan status oid (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3). That doesn't return anything either.
What do I need to do to get the temperature environment status from SNMP query?
We install a stack of C3750x switches rescently. A HP C7000 blade server uplink to C3750x using etherchannel and 802.1Q.If the trunk includes a RSPAN vlan on it by 802.1q default configuration, the VM on HP blade cannot ping the same vlan server on C3750x.If the trunk is configured by "allow vlan" and exclude the RSPAN vlan, then the connection is ok.
Im planning to install a WAN Switch on our network basically this WAN switch will be the core WAN switch in our WAN segments where all WAN connections coming in and will use EBGP peering to every CE WAN router.
We are trying to monitor two stacks of CISCO WS-c3750X running IOS 12.2.(58)SE.
We can get the state of the power supplies, but after a power cycle or reboot of the switches the identifier of ONE of the Power supplies ALWAYS change. The OIDs for the rest of the PS do not vary. The problem happens in the two stacks.
Currently, my Cisco 3750x (2 switches stacking) is having very hight CPU. Below are some of the output :
3750-ANA#sh processes cpu sorted | ex 0.00 CPU utilization for five seconds: 55%/30%; one minute: 55%; five minutes: 55% PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process
[Code]....
I am not sure what is using CPU to go up like this. I had tried some troubleshooting guide on Cisco web site like "Troubleshooting high CPU Utilization"
I'm experiencing strange issue with my WS-C3750X-48T-S.
Model number: WS-C3750X-48T-S System image file is "flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin"
This switch is situated on a remote site and on the 6th of January it was rebooted. I still do not know the cause, but it might be power outage or smth. We are still checking. After the reboot I've noticed that one port on this cisco switch is in 'notconnect' state, while I'm pretty sure it should be 'connected'.
I've tried to shutdown the port adminstratevly and do the 'no shutdown' but this port remained in 'disable' state.
#sh run interface Gi1/0/5 Building configuration... ! interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5
I want to deploy the C3750X 24-port SFP switch as the core switch in a large Layer 2 switching domain. The switch will need to run:
+/- only 10 large VLANs, 6 VLANs with HSRP +/- 500 MACs total +/- 5 OSPF sessions default timers
standard PVST+ (no Rapid PVST+)i need around 27 SFP ports (24 + 4 on network module=28=ok, extra capacity by stacking)
Looking at the switching capacity of the specs (160 Gbps) this is much better than a C6500 with SUP32-GE !Will it be able to handle this or should i look for C6500+SUP32GE or C6500-SUP720 or maybe even C4500 ?
First of all I purchased the switches with part no. WS-C3750X-48P with the following IOS c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE1 & IOS feature license to work as ipservice. Symptoms:
1) - When running the switches in stack mode (connecting the booth switch with full-duplex stack) I found the cpu utilization on each switch reached to 34% The Hulc LED Process reaches to 20%
3) - After about 1 hour with no connections to the switch I found the status not changed.
4) - I tried to run each switch in stand-alone mode (without stack cables connected) & monitor the status of the cpu utilization. I found it the same problem exist. Actions taken:
1) - Refereeing to the internet I found a bug ID describing the status of the mentioned symptoms (attached)
2) - I made a down grade for the IOS version to be c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin
3) - The mentioned IOS solved the Hulc LED Process (became 1 : 3 % ) & however cpu utilization became 18% with no links or traffic connected to the switches.
4) - I guess that 18 % utilization is too much for a free switch (refer to the show run file) as I did not configure any advanced commands.
I'm looking for a 24-port SFP switch. Each of the two switches in the subject meets that requirement. If I went with the ME switch over the 3750 (at about half the cost), what features/functionality if any, would I be giving up?
Symptoms: The switch hangs - after a hard reboot and after two hours switch No. 2 flew out from the stack. After the reboot, everything returned to normal and now when a few days passed switch works without problems. Devices: WS-C3750X-24T-S
I just loaded the web interface IOS on a C3750X. The first thing I noticed was there was basically no web interface. I can look at things, and do default configurations on ports, but it doesn't appear I can configure VLANs or QoS or anything like that.
Am I missing something, or is this just how the web interface functions?
I have running a Stack with two C3750G-24TS-S1U with the IOS c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3.Now I want put a new C3750X-24T-S in the existing stack. I have read this is possible. I have running a other mixed stack with a C3750G-12S and an C3750E-48TD. Its running fine until I want to make an IOS update. The update was done with the CW LMS 3.1. After the automatic update and restart only the C3750E had an new IOS the C3750G doesn't have any IOS. Do I have the same problem with the mixed Stack C3750G and C3750X?Do I have to upgrade the IOS by copying the different IOS Versions ( c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3 / c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3) to every switch ?
In my MDF I have a 4stack of the WS-3750-48P switches. Is it possible to replace one with a C3750X48PF-S with out causing any issues? Or would it be better to just have 3 stacked and trunk this one to the core 4506. Keeping in mind I bought this one to expand the port number for one of our remote offices.. I would hate to send them the gig switch when there isn't as much usage..Besides if I can get my CFO on this switch he might authorize me to replace the rest... He is reticent to believe it makes really all that much of a difference.
can i stack cisco (ws-c3750G-12s) with (ws-c3750X-24p-poe-s) with (ws-c3750-48p-10/100 poe) i mean even a switch is 10/100 and the other switch is 10/100/1000?
Any issues are reported while configuring power stack ? We did several times with 12.2.58SE1 and SE2, sometimes the power stack is created automatically, sometimes needs to be configured manually. Looks like the behavior is not the same. Maybe it depends on the number/type of switches and number/type of power supplies.
I have a Catalyst WS-C3750X-24T-S with two power supply C3KX-PWR-440WDC, each of these power supply have two input to deliver 440 W, my question is: Can I use only one Input in each power supply to power up the switch?, I know that I dont going to get the total power of 440W, but the power delivers by the supply with one input circuit is enough to power up the switch condidering that the switch are not PoE and only have 24 ports?.
I'm having trouble stacking a new WS-C3750X-24P with existing switches WS-C3750G-24PS ?I can see the license is on the new WS-C3750X-24P:
switch#sho lic Index 1 Feature: ipservices Period left: 8 weeks 4 days License Type: Evaluation License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted License Priority: None
[code].....
I could put on the c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1 image, but I may need to get the license sorted still, but not sure if that will work or how to add it if i got one.....
We have a new backbone in our LAN with two C3750X-24S 15.0(1)SE3. Since we change the model of our equipment we can't update NTP on this two switches. We try to update NTP with two firewall Juniper SSG-140 in version 6.3.0r12.0. The two switchs never arive to associate with firewall (we try with the comme ntp server and ntp peer)
So we configure ntp server on our distribution servers switchs (one 4900 12.2(54)SG and one stack of 3750G and 3750E 12.2(50)SE5). They have no problem to update NTP on the firewal. So we change our configuration ntp server on the backbone and we try to update it with the distributions servers switchs. With the command ntp server it doesn't work. With the commande ntp peer it works but not everytime. The core switchs are in "synchronized" state then "unsynchronized" then "synchronized" etc...When they are in "unsynchronized" state there is "x falseticker" raison behind the IP of the ntp peer.
