I Updated the 5508 from 7.0.230 to 7.4.100 and made it a cluster.Sinse the Update the handscanners loose the connection to the AS400 Application.Where to start troubleshooting?I did a debug client, I see the client is roaming but I can not say if there is a relation between roaming and loosing connection to the application.
View 19 RepliesI have a single workstation on an AS400 domain server, which is administered by a contract company, that continues to freeze up and then is kicked out of the network. The strange thing is that the computer also gets kicked off the Internet at the same time. I had the employee work from her laptop using the WI-FI connection while I attempted to troubleshoot the problem, and the laptop had the same thing happen. The strange thing is that she is the only one this is happening to. I originally thought it was a bad ethernet cable or bad port on the switch, but after the laptop had the same thing happen I decided the problem was else where. The contract company says that the problem has to be on my end, but thing that there could be something in her settings causing the problem. I have pinged the server with no problem, run a trace route with no errors reported, and made sure that the computer is set to a static IP as well. I have checked to make sure there are no other PC's. I also connected the cable to a different port on the office switch, connected my laptop with no problem, and had another employee sign onto her PC with a different sign on with no problems.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have two WAP321s in my office. The network they are on is a single VLAN (172.16.10.x). Both WAPs are setup with the same SSID, and I have setup Single Point Setup.
I am having a problem that was happening before I setup Single Point Setup, and it is still happening. Basically wireless will be up and running fine for part of the day. Then people throughout the office will begin to lose their connections to the DHCP server. They still retain the connection to the WAP, but can no longer access the network.
The only way I have been able to fix this issue is to reboot the WAP. As soon as it reboots the connections come back. At first I thought it was due to the number of connections (which is why we now have 2 WAPs), however we only have about 20-25 conncurrent connections.
I put in the second WAP to try to balance out the load but this does not seem to be working. Is there a setting I need to change on the WAPs to balance out the load?
I have several computers and printers connected to a WRT120N router which is connected to 10mpbs DSL. The computers are all running WIN7 and are hardwired to the router. On the one PC, it keeps losing network connection. I've tried upgrading the router's firmware, reset, etc. to no avail.
I think it may be related to the same IP address being assigned to multiple machines connected to the router. Is there a way to set specific IP addresses to each item connected to the router to see?
I had the WAP610N for a few months with no issues. As always, I have a custom SSID and password, using WPA2. All of a sudden, none of my mobile units (at least 5) are unable to connect via the WAP610N. However, I can connect to a Netgear N750 w/o any issues. When I reboot the WAP610N, it resolves the issue for a few minutes, but then behaves the same as before. I know its not my network because, I am able to connect via wired and wireless via the Netgear. I verified via the web interface that none of the settings/configurations have changed - but still nothing. Latest firmware has been applied. Note sure If I should perform a factory reset or re-apply the firmware.

The house is quite far from the exchange so the average down speed is only 1.75-2 Mbps. This connection is through a BT Infinity R/S/F and I wanted to know if we could just add another R/S/F device and subnet the games console into it's own DMZ with full bandwidth access and then the normal broadband & phone on a different subnet also with full bandwidth access?

Long story short I discovered that the variable and slow wireless speed is because of the wireless feature and not Bright House.
Have tried to modify several settings (as the ones found on Amazon's reviews) but still get 4-5 MB instead of the 7MB that I get with a wired connection and sometimes I do not get any wireless internet at all !
I am about to purchase a modem and a separate router if I can't find a solution for this. Unit is out of warranty so Motorola won't assist either.
Ok, so if i open Utorrent and let it download for 10 minutes i loose my internet connection. I usually will disconnect my cat5 cable and plug it back in and it doesn't work so i would open up the CMD line and try to reset the network connection but it doesn't respond so the only way i can reset it is to restart the the computerI've tried reinstalling Utorrent but i still keep loosing my connection, yet all the while I am able to run netflix on my PS3 so my internet connection isn't going down.

I have simple DHCP WAN connection between my provider and the router, my computer connects to router by wire (only Cisco SG 100D-08 stands between them). When I can't access sites I can access my router and the router needs much more time to answer to me via http. I don't use any vlans or internet access to my computer or router.

Which is a big problem as i use this device remotely. I have tried different firmware (.9, .19, .27) the .19 seems to be the most stable but i am still having problems. It seems to coincide with this date that I keep loosing my internet connection on a regular basis, say every 2 days or so, but not consistent. The cure is to unplug the linksys WAG200G ADSL home gateway. Plug it in again and all is well, until the next time. On the box it says the until is ADSL2/2+ compliant.

- Connected the DCS 2121 wireless to my Belkin Router with a fixed IP address. Firmware version 1.4 is installed on the camera.
- I have a Synology 209 NAS server with surveillance station that I have connected to the Camera.
I all works fine for 5 minutes to a couple of hours at which point the DCS 2121 loose connection to the Router and does not try to reconnect. If I turn the Cam on and off it will reconnect - and then loose connection again af a short time.This is totally frustrating since the purpose of the Cam is to work as a surveillance cam - it kinda loose its value by not being connected...

I purchased a brand new Acer Aspire 5250-BZ669 that included Windows 7 just two days ago. Everything is working fine on it except for it randomly looses connection to the internet. I have an established network that I have been using for years. The signal strength is always 5 bars and excellent. I also have a compaq connected to the same network, and it never looses connection. However my Acer will randomly drop connection. I have no idea why. Sometimes it will connect again in minutes or sometimes hours. I am using a Linksys G Wireless Router(Model # WRT54G2), Atheros AR5B125 Wireless Network Driver, and a Atheros AR8152 Controller. I have enabled and disabled in addition to uninstalling and installing the driver and controller many times. I have also moved the router and adapter all over the house. I have downloaded the newest versions of every driver from the Acer website. I have googled for hours looking for the answer to no avail. I run the troubleshoot and the answer it gives me is to make sure all the connections to the router is secure, which it is or else my other laptop wouldn't work.

I have it configured in the virtual servers list as; internal system ip, public port/private port both 23, protocal tcp with inbound filter, allow all and schedule set to always. I have a second system with a different public port. I can connect to either one but after a short amount of idle time it appears to just drop the connection.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Comcast cable and prior to a couple days ago, it has always been smooth @ 36mbps download and 5mbps upload. I have a Netgear WNDR3700 and Motorola 6121 connected to my PC via Ethernet cable. Up until a couple days ago, I've been getting lag spikes where my games would completely freeze for a good 2-3 seconds and resume, as if the entire connection dropped and reconnected. I did a speedtest and I was getting around 4mbps download and 1-2mbps upload with huge fluctuation in speed.
I called Comcast and they said they were seeing a "red" signal error from their end so they sent out a tech to my house. He came over, changed some cables outside because they were corroded and that's about all he did. I tested my connection while he was still there and I was again getting 36mbps download and 5mbps upload. It was a quick 1-2 test so everything seemed normal until I started to see lag in games again.
I am getting the same lag spikes, albeit it's not as bad as before but it's still pretty annoying. Using speedtests, I am still getting 36mbps download but the graphs show that there are inconsistencies where there would be sudden drops in speed and picks back up still to show 36mbps. These drops are what I assume are the lag spikes. The upload is also suffering now, dropping down to 2-3mbps and it takes the test about 20-30seconds to load the upload portion of the test. Even loading web pages, sometimes it locks up for a few seconds longer than it should, which is normally instantaneous.
I have tried connecting my PC directly to the modem to bypass the router and am still getting the same lag, probably a little LESS but still the lag is there. My router is has always been updated to the latest firmware.
I have a Motorola surfboard sb5101. Provider is comcast.I have never had any problem with my equipment until now. Here is whats going on. I bought a used sb5101 a week ago so that I would not have to pay the rental fee anymore. Comcast activated it, and it worked fine for a week or two. The other night I got disconnected from XBOX live randomly in the middle of a game. Thought maybe just a hickup, no biggie. Well it happened 3 more times in a few hours, then again the next day.So thinking maybe this used modem is bad, I plugged back in the rental from comcast which I still had. Worked fine for a while, then the same thing, random dissconnects after 10 min, 30 min, 2 hrs into a game...etcOn both modems, the 1st and 4th green light are solid, the 2nd and 3rd green light are flashing when the connection from LIVE drops.So I'm starting to think know that neither of the modems are bad. I then try going directly to the modem instead of the router, never had any problems with the router but figured I try.I even went into the attic and got rid of the 4 way splitter that feeds cable into all the bedrooms and put in a 2 way instead hooking up only the cable line im using for xbox. Thought maybe the signal is getting degraded to bad, eventhough never had a problem before.So now I'm practically hooked up right to the line coming off the street, ethernet cord plugged directly into the modem, no router. Still dropping connections randomly with same 2nd and 3rd light flashing.The connection needs to be completely stable for multiple hours.Also, I called comcast when I had to reactivate the rental modem, so they did refreshed that modem and reactivate it, but still had the disconnects the next day.
