Six month ago I installed and configured a wireless mesh with the equipment named. From two weeks ago one AP (MAP) restarts every day. In Wireless Lan Controller appears this logs:
"Unable to find AP entry in the database, could not process statistics information"
When I try to add new MAC entrys to the WLC I get the following message unable to add mac entry to database, reached max size the problem is when I look at the stats there is only 386 MAC entry and the databse size was set to 1024 entry..The work around was to increase the size of the database to 2048.Is there any why to clean up the database?

Unable to allot AP entry in database. We receive this message about once a minute on average. I can't find any documentation saying what it is. It looks like a database error, which makes think it might be a memory issue or an issue with having too many AP's on the WLC. However, that controller has less than 30 AP's on it.
I got an old WISE WS-4016 16-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch from a friend of mine which was not in use. However i am unable to find any information regarding this switch anywhere online.Unfortunately we couldn't find any manual for this switch as well.

When the above problem happens, as work-around, we delete VLAN.DAT file on the Compact Flash of this 2811 router and recopy the VLAN>DAT file back to teh Compact Flash.
Then it runs for a few weeks and the same problem happened.
Then we put a new Compact Flash and recopied VLAN.DAT to new CF and it ran for 3 weeks and same problem started again.
Could be 2811 router motherboard? This customer has thousands of these 2811 routers in identical setups and this is the only router that is having this problem.
I've been wrestling with a Windows XP reinstall that wiped out my network adapter. Fortunately I found D-Link AirPlus Utility and have restored it. However, now it says that windows was unable to find a certificate to log me on to the network, although I have entered the correct key.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a several cisco 4400 wireless controllers and a cisco WLC. All clients autheticate to an AAA server. Acces points are cisco LWAP 1242. Security is PEAP TKIP ms-chap. Machine and user authetication. Settings are pushed out through grou policy. A new user can log on to a laptop (without cached credetials) and get all their network settings....most of the time. Randomly we have laptops that after being restarted, recieve "yourdomain.com is not availalbe" error message. The laptops will work fine for weeks and then random laptops start to get this error. If we wire them into the network, run a gpupdate, they logon fine. Shutdown, unplug, and the wireless works fine again.. I am not sure if this is an ms group policy issue or a wireless issue. Any setting change or a gp setting that I may have missed??

how to get a graph of the router statistics like upload and download speeds - both total and per device? Something like MRTG. The closest I came to getting data from the router was with RouterStats-Lite, but I was unable to get it to work.

I have an E2500 router, running the latest firmware 1.0.7.
Where or how can i see which is the machine (mac or ip) that is doing more traffic, in fact i would like to see what computers are doing how much traffic.
This is a default on most routers, its so weird to not been able to find this on a Cisco product.
I have a laptop that won't find any networks, it did work a few days ago now it's just randomly stopped.Things I've tried;
-Changing the wireless to different channels.
-System restore to a few days before.
-Check and restarted the wzc serice mutiple times.
-Check the drivers are ok.
A week ago I accidently clicked the disable icon on wireless network connection on the bottom right icon on my PC screen. I quickly reversed this but now for some reason, all the wireless networks that are around me cannot be picked up on my Phillips Freevents Windows XP.it was able to pick up two wireless connections and now, not even a trace of one. The other laptops in the house can pick up the wireless connections so I know its working.The internet works when the box is connected to the computer but I need the box in another room so wireless is essential.

I'm hoping to configure the 1801 for basic DSL, with the WiFi configured with a single SSID, using WPA-PSK authentication with a hard-coded pre-shared key on the router. We do not have a radius server available at the school.
I think I have the router set up properly for DSL with NAT and DHCP for the internal network (192.168.1.x). The router's E0 interface uses 192.168.1.1, and the dialer0 interface will receive an IP from the service provider (ISP). The only thing I'm missing is the wireless configuration part.

But when I try to use the wireless access point in my mobile phone / laptop,the device is not able to find the WiFi access point. I need to swith off the modem and start it again, then the devices are finding the access point. I guess this has to do with some amount of inactivity and the modem switces off the wireless access point. I there anyway by which I can turn off that setting ? I have a wap200 with a static ipaddress e.g. 192.168.249.205/24 (it is for management and is in vlan 1). Firmware of the wap is 2.0.4.0. No gw and no dns. (they are not necessary) I export the config . I have a second wap200 and import the config.bin to the new wap. ThenI like to change the static address and the name of the new wap, but - and this is the problem - it asks me to fill out the dns (the address for primary dns cannot be 0 and 255), but I absolutely don't want that because there is no dns or gw (management only). And if I fill it out I cannot go the the internet with the wap.
So I also have some other wap200 where I could import the config.bin and change the static ip without giving a dns (firmware 2.0.1.0). can I go back to a previous firmware (Europe) and where can I find it. Looked for it, but seeing only the last one 2.0.4.0 etsi.Or is there another method to skip the dns with a static ipaddress?
