I got an old WISE WS-4016 16-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch from a friend of mine which was not in use. However i am unable to find any information regarding this switch anywhere online.Unfortunately we couldn't find any manual for this switch as well.

"Unable to find AP entry in the database, could not process statistics information"
I have just upgraded my AIM and Skype messengers and now it won't let me sign in. I did before with my old versions. It is saying that my internet connection is bad which it is not. I have looked up ports in my Yahoo messengers, Control Panel and Bit Torrent still nothing.

We use REP to block redundancy link.One of my colleagure was setting up a new link(VLAN) for one customer which was then caused a L2 loop. The CPU was hitting 100% and REP started to lost neighbors then we had a big outage.I am thinking to deploy QoS on all REP switch (on trunk links from switch to switch) to give priority to control traffic like REP and some importance data VLAN. Of course,Storm-Control already implemented on all access-port.

Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlthough we have a moderately wired house with cat6 cables runs in many of the rooms that all end in the basement, I am currently having trouble since I cat stream audio and video files from my desktop in the den to the netbook and receiver in the family room. All computers are hooked up by cable.I have tried a friends advice to plug in the exact IP address of the desktop (and vice versa on the netbook) but still the netbook cat find the desktop nor can the desktop find the netbook. I have tried home sharing in Windows 7 to no avail as I have been prompted to initiate a home network both on the netbook and the desktop when I think it is suppose to be initiated on one machine and same home network joined by the other.DSL Modem --> Linksys WRTGL router running Tomato --> switch -->various rooms (cont.)Family room (one of the various rooms) has a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH AirStation (with one USB port) --> 1) netbook and 2) Denon AVR receiver (with network capabilities)I have a switch in the den and the desktop and laptop computers can read off each other through folder/drive sharing even with Kaspersky Internet Security running in the background so I'm sure it's not Kaspersky meddling with my network sharing. If both are on the wireless network, the netbook can access the desktop and vice versa.Is it possible for the netbook to read off the desktop based on my current set up? I can't bring the desktop down as we use them in the den and will not have room for it in the family room. I am not inclined to purchase a stand-alone HTPC at the moment if there is a network sharing

They assure me that they are ipv6 ready and assume the problem is on my end. All they want to do is have me connect one computer up to my modem. What good is that when I have a network that needs service. The router needs to be working not just one pc. My ipv4 is working perfectly. It is obtaining all information automaticly.

However, I am able to connect to the router from my Laptop.I have tried isconnecting and renewing the ip. Can see that ip (192.168.1.102) is issued to my PC and can ping to the same. But, do not get any reply when I ping to the gateway (192.168.1.1 - ip for the router). My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.Let me know if you need any more information
