I have installed a DIR615 N Router and can get onto the Internet on the PC, but when I type in the device IP address it comes up with an "error" message so I cannot configure it.
View 6 Repliesi have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a pppoe connection coming through ethernet line. i.e i need to use dialer that i have created on the desktop..and i have bought a new Linksys E1000 router v2.1..now my problem is that1) After entering all the settings correctly my router worked for 3 days after that the net is not working.i.e it cannot connect to the internet keeps giving the error cannot get IP from PPPOE(i have connected my router in pppoe mode and use the router status page to connect and disconnect)I have also updated the router to the latest firmware 2.1.01 and after that the problems have started.My Net works if i directly plug the Ethernet cable in the PC.the problem starts when i connect it to my router.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a LAN network between several pc's connected with several switch's and connected to Thomson SpeedTouch 510 DSL Router its ip address is 10.0.0.100 subnet 255.0.0.0 and the router dont give auto ip to the PCs i have to issign it manually to the PCs "static ip".I bought the acer android recently so i bought a tp-link td-w8901g wireless router to act as an access point so i connected the 2 routers to each other by LAN and gave the tp-link an ip address 10.0.0.12 subnet mask 255.0.0.0 so it will be the same ip range of the speedtouch and setuped the tp-link router to fit my isp configeration it worked at first but i had to reset the router so i did the same configuration i did before but didnt work and i cant access the internet using the android or the wireless but when i connect the phone to the tp-link and unplug the speedtouch the wireless works so theres no any problem with the router?

However, I am able to connect to the router from my Laptop.I have tried isconnecting and renewing the ip. Can see that ip (192.168.1.102) is issued to my PC and can ping to the same. I changed the SSID to "router" and set a WPA encryption on the router's page. Now this SSID shows up and I can connect to it using the password I set, but it also shows up as a separate unencrypted connection under the default SSID "dlink".
How do I disable the unencrypted connection? I don't know why this is happening. I've set this up correctly a dozen times before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne moment the laptop was using the wireless connection from the router in our house and the next it lost internet access and then wasn't able to recognize the SSID or connection at all on the available wireless connections. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place).It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?
