View 10 Replies View Relatedi have a pppoe connection coming through ethernet line. i.e i need to use dialer that i have created on the desktop..and i have bought a new Linksys E1000 router v2.1..now my problem is that1) After entering all the settings correctly my router worked for 3 days after that the net is not working.i.e it cannot connect to the internet keeps giving the error cannot get IP from PPPOE(i have connected my router in pppoe mode and use the router status page to connect and disconnect)I have also updated the router to the latest firmware 2.1.01 and after that the problems have started.My Net works if i directly plug the Ethernet cable in the PC.the problem starts when i connect it to my router.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a LAN network between several pc's connected with several switch's and connected to Thomson SpeedTouch 510 DSL Router its ip address is 10.0.0.100 subnet 255.0.0.0 and the router dont give auto ip to the PCs i have to issign it manually to the PCs "static ip".I bought the acer android recently so i bought a tp-link td-w8901g wireless router to act as an access point so i connected the 2 routers to each other by LAN and gave the tp-link an ip address 10.0.0.12 subnet mask 255.0.0.0 so it will be the same ip range of the speedtouch and setuped the tp-link router to fit my isp configeration it worked at first but i had to reset the router so i did the same configuration i did before but didnt work and i cant access the internet using the android or the wireless but when i connect the phone to the tp-link and unplug the speedtouch the wireless works so theres no any problem with the router?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought for a little office a SA520 Security appliance (for future VPN with another distant office) and a SG 300-10P switch for connect 3 PC and 3 IP PHONE. THe SA 520 is the router. I must configure 2 VLANs on the switch :
VLAN2 : DATA (for PC)
VLAN3 : VOICE (for IP PHONE)
VLAN1 : DEFAULT.
How can i simply configure all ports ? I would like to configure ports 1-4 on VLAN2 and ports 5-8 on VLAN3 and port G10 is reserved for the router SA520. I want to divise network DATA/VOICE.
I think i must create a trunk on G10 for SA520 ...
I would like to configure a switch to act like a Hub. I know about the mirroring port configuration, but unfortunately is not enough for me. our 6509 is configured as NTP master. Our 4948 is configured as NTP client.on each of these switches we have configured a management VRF.The problem is that 4948 can not synchronize its clock with NTP master. Both switches are directly connected.show cdp neighbor on 4948 switch:

I have a LinkSys WRT54G2 connected to port 1. I would like ports 2-8 to be in one VLAN with access to the Internet and to be able to share their printers, hard drives, etc. with other computers on ports 2-8. I would like each of ports 9-16 to be on a separate VLAN with access only to the Internet and no other ports on the switch. I would like to be able to manage the switch from any of the ports 2-8.
After I create the VLAN 1009 (see screenshot below), port 9 can browse the Internet and cannot see the other ports on the switch which is correct. However, ports 2-8 can no longer access the switch at 192.168.1.20 in order to manage the switch.
