View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to setup an home network with a wireless router and use multiple switches for wired connections through out my home. I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a small business network with multiple systems on a local lan. I would like to expose two of these machine on the Internet using static IPs provided by my ISP. Both of these machines provide web services over ports 80 and 443, and thus port forwarding will not meet my needs. The way I have addressed this issue in the past is to use a router with "multi-NAT" or "many-to-many NAT" support. Alas, the router I was using is no longer working and the company no longer provides a similar offering. In speaking with CISCO customer service today, they suggested that one of the routers in the CISCO 800 series should meet my need.
So my questions are:
1. Is any out there using an 800 series router to address a similar scenario?
2. If so, is it possible to configure this scenario (e.g. Multi-nat) using the Cisco Router Web Setup (CRWS) Tool? I'm not familiar with IOS and would prefer to skip the learning curve.
i have a pppoe connection coming through ethernet line. i.e i need to use dialer that i have created on the desktop..and i have bought a new Linksys E1000 router v2.1..now my problem is that1) After entering all the settings correctly my router worked for 3 days after that the net is not working.i.e it cannot connect to the internet keeps giving the error cannot get IP from PPPOE(i have connected my router in pppoe mode and use the router status page to connect and disconnect)I have also updated the router to the latest firmware 2.1.01 and after that the problems have started.My Net works if i directly plug the Ethernet cable in the PC.the problem starts when i connect it to my router.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a LAN network between several pc's connected with several switch's and connected to Thomson SpeedTouch 510 DSL Router its ip address is 10.0.0.100 subnet 255.0.0.0 and the router dont give auto ip to the PCs i have to issign it manually to the PCs "static ip".I bought the acer android recently so i bought a tp-link td-w8901g wireless router to act as an access point so i connected the 2 routers to each other by LAN and gave the tp-link an ip address 10.0.0.12 subnet mask 255.0.0.0 so it will be the same ip range of the speedtouch and setuped the tp-link router to fit my isp configeration it worked at first but i had to reset the router so i did the same configuration i did before but didnt work and i cant access the internet using the android or the wireless but when i connect the phone to the tp-link and unplug the speedtouch the wireless works so theres no any problem with the router?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past year my wireless has been working great and I have being playing games/doing homework with no hassle. Yestetday my internet connection became very slow. After countless restarts, router/modem resets nothing has changed and I only get like 5kb of download speed. Since my internet connection was lost naturally I unplugged the wireless card and re-plugged it, didn't change anything. After that I restarted my computer, but nothing changed. AFTER THAT I unplugged my router, then reset my router to factory settings, which did not change anything. Since everything was backed up I thought I would reinstall Windows 7 to nuke any hidden problems. After 2 reinstalls of Windows 7, nothing has changed. Next I had Comcast reset my connection with them which did not work. Though it did work with my brothers desktop. After some more time just fiddling around my connection went back to lightning speeds. no.....4 hours later my connection went dead.At all times my computer will see my network but it either will not connect to it or it is really really slow now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt my company, we lease 3 static public IP addresses from 1 ISP. We want to have 3 separate networks that each use one of the IP addresses. Network 1 is the computer network, network 2 is the VOIP network, and network 3 is the security camera network. I am trying to determine the best way to do this. I have come up with 2 solutions in my head, but I'm not sure if they will work or not. I would like to get some input. Solution 1:Solution 1 looks something like this. Fiber box -> Router-> 3 switches. There would be one WAN input on the router, that would have a static route to 3 different LAN ports. For example, address 24.244.208.101 would be assigned to LAN port 1, 24.244.208.102 would be assigned to LAN port 2, and 24.244.208.103 would be assigned to LAN port 3 (by assigned, I mean have a static route to it). Is there some type of router that is capable of doing this? Solution 2:Solution 2 looks something like this. Fiber box -> Switch -> 3 Routers. The ethernet cable would run from the Fiber Box to a switch, and then 3 routers would be plugged into the switch. Each router would have the Static information configured in them. Would both of these methods work? If so, which would be the best way to go?

Our old setup was with AT&T, where they provided a managed router which linked to our internal switch and also provided NAT to the internal IP of our email server.Our new setup right now is just the internet coming in through a cable connected to a switch, we were told we needed to provide our own router. Someone donated a Cisco 2900.What should our proper set-up be? Should the internet come in directly to the router and then to our switch, or should it go to the switch they provided, then the router, and then our switch?Also, there seems to be some confusion about whether or not we need anything else to get the internet to work. My router & adaptor are showing green but the Internet is showing red. Its becuz my high speed Internat service is ATT.my.yahoo.com. which comes through IE. On my newer computer all is fine. I had this small internet cafe with 15 units pc. and browsing the web is not that stable. i have to unplug the internet modem everytime i can't connect to the internet.I think it has something to do with the settings that was in the router since it was just configured by a tech guy which i think not 100% sure of what he did, though it can connect to net for sometime but most of the time it is down.
