View 6 RepliesI'm running Windows 7 and have a dlink dir615 wireless router. I've had it for a year and never had this problem before. I changed the SSID to "router" and set a WPA encryption on the router's page. Now this SSID shows up and I can connect to it using the password I set, but it also shows up as a separate unencrypted connection under the default SSID "dlink".
How do I disable the unencrypted connection? I don't know why this is happening. I've set this up correctly a dozen times before.
I recently discovered the dd-wrt world and am attempting to make a wireless adapter for my Xbox360 using a D-Link DIR615 rev C1 router I purchased and linking it to my home wireless network router (also a D-Link DIR615 but rev B2). I successfully loaded the dd-wrt firmware onto the C1 router and have attempted (multiple times) to set it up for use with my 360 following the instructions posted here at the dd-wrt wiki posting. However, after following the instructions to the letter I have been unsuccessful. After setting it up I can get the router (connected via ethernet to my laptop) to "connect" but it lists the connection as connected to a "unidentified network" with no network access.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 wireless routers. Belkin Wireless G plus mimo Model# F5D9230-4 Ver.3001 and a D-link Dir-615 ver.B2. I am using the Belkin router has my main router. The wife’s laptop and the Wii console connect to the router wirelessly. I also connect a few PC directly to the router via Cat5 cables which runs through most rooms in the house. Since the router is down in the basement in my control panel along side the cable modem and what not. This causes the wireless single to be pretty weak in certain parts of the house. I have 2 sites located 500 meters away and i connect it via 2 x RVS4000. I managed to get the site to site VPN up Via internet and from my network 192.168.1.x able to reach 192.168.2.x. -where 192.168.1.100 (user try to acces my FTP server 192.168.2.99) has no issues but it's slow due to my internet connection speed.
So i setup another link via wireless( wireless bridge ) purpose is to resolve slow connection via internet.
But some how i try to set traffics divertion from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.99 via local LAN faild.

I was assigned a task to configure an SG300-28P to have 3 different vlans.Now on VLAN1 their will be only one device configured with static IP 192.168.0.230,On the other 2 VLANS there will be a separate router connected on each one of them and will also act as a DHCP server.

Quick VPN and have not had any success connecting with our router. Below is my components info. Cisco router: WRVS4400N, Firmware V2.0.0.7. The router is behind a Comcast SMC business gateway modem Remote computer: Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit
I downloaded the Quick VPN client 1.4.2.1, and installed the client successfully but cannot connect using the VPN Client Account that I had set up in the router. Below are several questions that I hope to understand.
1) Do I need to configure specific ports for VPN in the Comcast gateway firewall?
2) What IP address do I put in the Quick VPN client profile when I connect remotely? The WRVS4400N modem shows 2 IP addresses in the Status:
DNS1: 68.xx.xx.176
DNS2: 68.xx.xx.132
Are these the IP that go into the "Server Address" on the Quick VPN client profile? and which one of the two? or do I use the static WAN IP address provided by my Comcast account?
3) In the Quick VPN client window, what is the "Use Remote DNS Server" mean?
4) Do I need to create a client certificate from the WRVS4400N for the client
5) Is there any setup needed for the remote firewall (if the client is behind a home wireless router and modem, for example)?
I installed DD-WRT on my router and placed it in bridge mode, configuring it with what I thought was my Androids IP address for the gateway. The problem is, I have to reboot the thing numerous times throughout the day to allow a client to connect to it via wireless. One client will be connected and then drop, or a client will be connected, and I cannot connect another device. I also had an issue with streaming over wireless for netflix on my devices and the only way I could get it to work was to turn off the firewall, what the hek.... This is crap.
