View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dlink dir-600 router I flashed it with dd-wrt it was was working good but I started experiencing some problems so I decided to flash it with the stock firmware and I did so later on after a week the Ethernet ports on the router stopped working I thought the router was bricked but I was able to connect wirelessly and could access the Internet and I was even able to change the settings of the router by going to 192.168.0.1 all was fine but all the ethernet ports stopped working so I thought it was the problem of the stock frimware and I again flashed it with dd-wrt but still all the Ethernet ports won't work I can only connect the computers wirelessly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have a WRT54G wired to my modem, and my two personal laptops connect wirelessly just fine, but my work laptop doesn't support wireless and sometimes I want to work upstairs so I have to run an ethernet cable up the stairs. I was hoping that I could get another wireless router that would connect (wirelessly) to my existing wireless network, then I could plug my laptop into the second router.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 wireless routers. Belkin Wireless G plus mimo Model# F5D9230-4 Ver.3001 and a D-link Dir-615 ver.B2. I am using the Belkin router has my main router. The wife’s laptop and the Wii console connect to the router wirelessly. I also connect a few PC directly to the router via Cat5 cables which runs through most rooms in the house. Since the router is down in the basement in my control panel along side the cable modem and what not. This causes the wireless single to be pretty weak in certain parts of the house. What I was planning on doing is taking the D-link router connecting it to the wall jack upstairs to the internet port on the router. Then setting both routers to static and changing the Belkin router to DHCP?

I was wondering is it possible to have one router in my room which my desktops plug into - and then the router to ""Bridge" with the one downstairs to give me wireless capability. I believe its called bridging but i have had no hopen as of yet. Huawei HG520b and Huawei HG532 are my two routers. I know this can be done by purchasing a wire - but i cannot afford a 100m cable and i am not particularly interested in purchasing an adapter for my desktops.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Play N600 F7D8302. I swapped out my old Belkin router for this one. Easy swap. I went in to the 192.168.2.1 address, to look at the current wireless settings. I saw an option to use it as an access point. Not sure what I was thinking when I checked it off, but now I can't connect wirelessly, and I cant get onto the settings page again, via 192.168.2.1. My IP address has changed, and is now 50.135.82.220. I've unhooked everything and hooked it back up. I pushed the reset button on the back. I don't know what to do. How do I get it back to the way it was before I got my hands on it?
