I've had my network up and running for several years with no issues. Last week I upgraded my router to a Dlink 826L and now anything connected to my downstream Dlink DSS16+ can't be accessed.

The MP830 was connected directly to the desktop computer and to a lap top in another room via a dlink router. But we do not know how to get the lap top to recognize the MX870. We tried adding it and entered the name Canon Pixma M870, and the program does not accept the name.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have what should be simple. Home network on cable. WRT320N is main router cabled to desktop with GB card. It is hard-wired to a Netgear WNR3500L (also gigabit). That router is hard-wired to a desktop with GB card. For testing I connected a second machine hard-wired to the WRT320N with a 10/100 card. All machines recognized cards properly at correct speed. I ran LAN Speed Test between machines. Speeds were comparable between machines regardless of cards. GB -> GB was mid-30's write, mid-80's read with GB -> 10/100 a couple of ticks slower but not significantly. The LED's on both routers will show different color if GB connection and both showed GB for the desktop connection but not the interconnect between the routers. The routers are connected at about 100' with CAT5E and straight-through.

We have recently purchased SG 300-52Port Cisco Switch to support our Network but they constantly having some bizarre issues or I assume bugs, i.e. we cannot Telnet nor SSH to the switch now, whereas we were able to SSH before, we have set them up for Remote Log Services to get some syslogs and reports but no report have been generated nor logs,
I have done some testing through Wireshark and there are absolutely no reports / logs.We have some real issues with this switch and it’s hard to believe that this is a Cisco Product,

I am trying to extend my broadband signal out from the house to a rumpus room.My current setup does not give a signal that far.. or at least it is poor with 1 mbps speed.To cable anything other than my moden to router A is not an option. Router A to Router B and then on to the computers needs to be wireless,My modem is currently connected to router A (Dlink dl624) but how do I get router B (dlink dir635) to talk to router A and then relay my broadbad to my computer out in the rumpus room and also inside the house when I am there.

All machines can see the Internet through the router at all times. The desktops disappear from the laptop/netbooks but the wireless machines can be seen from the desktop computers but clicking on them gets 'Access Denied' message after a wait.3 desktops = XP, 1 98SE. I have followed the instructions on the set up wizard but it fails to get a connection with the IP and DNS info I provide.I got the IP address info by connecting intially direct from the modem to the PC and then went to Run CMD and type ipconfig /all. I then started the set up wizard and followed the instructions, turning things on in specific order etc. After input the IP and DNS info it reports an error and tells me to check the address information is correct.My internet is a static IP connection (so it tells me and the IP information doesn't change).

View 3 Replies View Relatedi ahve a dlink dir 615 B2 router and it wont connect to the internet. on day it was fine and working, the next day the internet led wouldn't change from the red light to the green light.i have tried resetting it about 60 times, while the laptop was on/off, while it was plugged it, while it was without power, while the internet cable was in, while it wasn't, while it was shut down and i reset it and the i pluged it in while resetting it...i dont know what else to do!! short of smashing the bejesus out of it. The internet works fine when i connect the cable directly to the laptop, I don;t have a cable modem or anything, just a plain old cable from the street to my house.
