However, I am able to connect to the router from my Laptop.I have tried isconnecting and renewing the ip. Can see that ip (192.168.1.102) is issued to my PC and can ping to the same. But, do not get any reply when I ping to the gateway (192.168.1.1 - ip for the router). My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.Let me know if you need any more information

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought 3 DCS-920 to monitor my home while at the office. However I can't seem to get the damned things to stream video using the dyndns service. I linked my router to the dyndns account and host service. I portforward the ports my cameras are assigned. Up to this point its all good, I can access the cameras and their settings pages while outside. However both the Java and ActiveX options for video streaming do not work. Even within the network, using their raw IPs to view the cameras the videos stream works.But putting in the hostname and port they are assigned brings up the camera page, but no video.I can only assume the ports the video and audio run on are seperate, as when I put one camera's IP in the DMZ host on my router, it works with the DNS. Unforunately I can only do that with 1, and I'd rather not do that at all.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on the pc, and the router is a netgear gigabit dual band wired/wireless. When running through the camera setup I am not able to get setup to find the camera, whether wired or wireless. I know that the camera's online as it shows in the routers device table, and I'm able to access the camera with my browser. However, the failed setup prevents my registering the camera on MyDlink. Any thoughts? Should I be looking at the ports on the router in regard to the camera's IP?My goal is to be able to remotely monitor my home, which the MyDlink service seemed to offer. Based on what I've read, it appears there are other ways to achieve my goal, but I would like to figure out the install problem.

When i try to connect to it through Safari, Chrome, or Firefox using 192.168.1.254, I receive a message that a connection cannot be established. 192.168.1.254 is the ip mentioned in the manual. I used an ip scanner and it showed the actual ip is 192.168.0.1. But I cannot connect to webview through this ip either. We got this switch a year ago and did not change any settings, we just connected it and it worked fine. But now we want to change some settings on the switch but cannot connect.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to connect 2 switches together (both 2960G 8 ports). I have an SFP in each (GLC-LH-SM). They are connecting over SingleMode Fibre using the correct cabling. The fibre cores have been tested and are all ok also.
I can't get no Layer 1 connectivitiy at all. Just dead. I have tried 4 different GBICS, swapped cabled etc.. I have forced the media type to use SFP. No link light....
I thought it would just be a case of plugging in the gbics cables and off I go! I read about forcing the speed and duplex on the port but because the port if SFP, the speed and duplex settings are not available. This seems to be hard coded.
I have a Synology NAS that is connected to several IP Cameras through a SG300 switch. From time to time the IP cameras become "disconnected" at random When I reboot the switch, the access to cameras is re-established.
Problems: it requires an external device to reboot the switchall ports are shutdown while rebooting the switch

I am in the process of preping our network for the installation of an IP Camera based security system on it will be running within VLAN 600 in our network, and management would prefer that general users are not even aware it is there.
16 Cameras will all be running off two SF302-8P Switches that will be uplinked to our Cisco 2960 Access Switches. Due to port limitations I need to daisy chain the two SF302 Switches.
ACCESS-302-CA-01 - Ge1 uplinked to Port on ACCESS-03 (Cisco 2960) On this switch Fe1-8 Need to be in VLAN 600 to communicated with the camera server which will be plugged directly into Ge2 on Access 302-02.
ACCESS-302-CA-02 - Ge1 Uplinked to Ge2 on ACCESS-302-01
Ge2 - connected to the Network Video Recorder.
I've defined the VLAN's in the switch and have VLAN 600 as Untagged for FE1-8.
how do I configure Ge1 and Ge2 on each switch to pass the appropriate VLAN conntent to the devices connected?
