Feb 11, 2011I have a kindle which was successfully connected to my router at Christmas 2010 unfortunatley some thing went wrong ?? have tried using the long serial number which i assume is the password on router . Kindle is telling me the number invalid try again. I have Sky broadband . The Kindle remembers the SSID; number . i have network key number as well but not sure what im suppose to do.

Feb 8, 2012I have reset and rebooted my netgear wireless router. it told me set up was successful yet even though it tells me I am connected I still am unable to access the internet. It also shows an exclamation over my connection bars. How can i fix this? This all started when I was trying to access my router from a new laptop. I could not remember my security key. I reset and erased what I had stored. Have made a new but still no internet access.

Jun 18, 2011I have a Netgear WNR3500L with a Comcast cable modem. The internet was running slow so I rebooted everything. After that I could not see the internet. I tried to reset the Netgear Router, shut down and restart and still the same problem. I plugged the computer directly into the cable modem and everthing works just fine. I'm guessing something happened to the Netgear router but I don't know if it is a setting or something happened to the router itself. The router is about a year old. I can use the default 192.168.1.1 to get into the router but I'm not sure what settings I should try to change.

I cant get to the 192.168.9.1 site to detup manually and when i insert the set up CD it scans the config & says that my ethernet adapter isn't intstalled or enabled....I HAVE A CABLE FROM THE SATELLITE MODEM to my computer which works fine when I am connected direcrtly to it, so I dont get what the problem is. Aug 6, 2011My Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router has stopped working. I was trying to put new firmware on it and it just stopped being able to connect to the internet. I can't connect to the internet through it wired or wirelessly. Wirelessly I can connect to it, but I can't do anything like browse the web. I have tried resetting it to factory defaults and restarting it and my modem many times, and my modem can't be the problem because using my other router everything is fine.

Jan 26, 2012My boss is asking me to write a batch file or use a utility to monitor the uptime of 16 different ISP accounts that we use across several stores. Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?
