I try to login to my router http://192.168.1.1/ I try and put in the user name and password that I think it is. Is it the user name and password you set up or one that's already there and if so where can I find it??
My Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router has stopped working. I was trying to put new firmware on it and it just stopped being able to connect to the internet. I can't connect to the internet through it wired or wirelessly. Wirelessly I can connect to it, but I can't do anything like browse the web. I have tried resetting it to factory defaults and restarting it and my modem many times, and my modem can't be the problem because using my other router everything is fine.
i tried to change my nat type to open, on my Netgear WNR2000v1.i connected throught typing my routers ip. I have a Netgear N300 Wireless Router (WNR2000), and I am trying to connect the internet through it. The internet light stays amber, and though the router recognizes it, I can not connect to the internet. My computer also doesn't seem to recognize the router at all. Installation CD will not work either.
I have had the Netgear 3300 Dual Band for three years. Everytime I wanted to access using my laptop, I had to choose between 2.4G and 5G connection. For about a month now, the 5G does not show up. It doesn't show up as a network to select no matter what device I use. I have reset the router and updated the firmware. Both connection lights are blinking. I recently purchased and IPhone 4 and still I do not have the option of selecting 5G.

I recently moved from one city to another, and I still have my same ISP. However, I can't get onto the Internet through my same Netgear router. I can connect to the Internet when directly connected to my modem, and I can ping my router from my laptop wirelessly, but the router won't let me onto the Internet. I tried to modify some settings on the router itself (192.168.1.1), but I think I may have just gotten myself in deeper. It's currently setup for no security, and even with that I still can't get on. I might mention that I can't get on through the wireless router either connected or wireless.
I just got digital cable, phone and internet and when I try to use the digital phone and internet at the same time, the internet wouldn't work. Its connected through Netgear N300. The wireless connection will not stay connected.
I have a Netgear WNR3500L with a Comcast cable modem. The internet was running slow so I rebooted everything. After that I could not see the internet. I tried to reset the Netgear Router, shut down and restart and still the same problem. I plugged the computer directly into the cable modem and everthing works just fine. I'm guessing something happened to the Netgear router but I don't know if it is a setting or something happened to the router itself. The router is about a year old. I can use the default 192.168.1.1 to get into the router but I'm not sure what settings I should try to change.
I have set my Netgear WGR614 to a static IP, and I have tried port forwarding but I can't. I've tried disabling SPI Firewall and it still don't work. I have also tried enabling bridge settings on my connection in my modem settings, but that just wouldn't let me back on my internet. How I can port forward?I have a westell 610015.
my Netgear WPN824v2 router won't connect to the internet. It stopped connecting after a power outage 4 days ago. All local connections work fine. wireless unaffected. I tried a different router, but it wouldn't work either. Contacted my ISP, they said get a new router. Tried re-installing firmware, no change. I haven't tried it on a different internet connection yet, but plan to visit a neighbor and do some begging
basically, my iMac detects the extender as routername_EXT which is fine, but says that the password i type is wrong. when i use my original router with my iphone with the same password it works, but when i try to use it with my extender it says that the password is wrong.
I just purchased netgear N150 single band wireless router WNR1000v3. I cant get to the 192.168.9.1 site to detup manually and when i insert the set up CD it scans the config & says that my ethernet adapter isn't intstalled or enabled....I HAVE A CABLE FROM THE SATELLITE MODEM to my computer which works fine when I am connected direcrtly to it, so I dont get what the problem is. Do I need a different cable connecting my computer to the LAN on the router or am I missing something?
I cant work out how to get my Netgear DGN2200v3 to port forward.Portforward.com describes how to port forward for a Netgear DGN2200 but NOT for the DGN2200v3.The difference between the DGN2200 and the DGN2200v3 is that when I log into the router and go to port forwarding/port triggering there is no box to fill in the server IP address. It just says service name, service type, starting port, ending port.
I use a Netgear FS605 Ethernet Switch to connect a wifi modem to my network and thus to the internet. People in that room can jump online via the wifi modem. You can also print to the wireless printer in that room via that wifi modem being local. However, I can no longer print to the wifi printer from anywhere else in my network (I could before I got a new router and wifi modem in there).Would this be a problem with this Switch or with the modem e.g.
I set a password and everything on my n300's Netgear Genie, but every time I go to routerlogin or 10.0.0.1, it just shows me the full control panel and never prompts me to log in. Isn't security a bit too lax over there? I even click log out and it says i logged out, then I re-visit and I'm always automatically logged in.
Just installed a new WRVS4400N router. wireless working. however refuses to let me log back via Ethernet cable in at URL given me 403 Forbidden, Access Denies, Management via WLAN is not allowed. Was able to reset and noe braodcasting unsecured "cisco b" signal, but no way to get into router and set up security. unsure what I have done.
I have a Netgear GSM7248R switch with 5 different Vlans including th management Vlan. Each of the vlans are connected to my layer 3 switch for routing. I want to access the management vlan form any of my Vlans so my layer two switch can be detected by my snmp manager.
We have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router set up at one of our small offices. I noticed recently when trying to log in to the router to make some admin configurations that it will not accept the login credentials when trying to log in from IE10 browser. Works fine from Chrome, IE9, ect. logging in to a linksys router with IE10?
I just bought a new Netgear N300 router to go along with the Mediacom cable internet I just signed up for. I can plug the ethernet cable straight from the modem into my computer and get internet. Unfortunately this only works after I run the windows diagnostic to correct the errors that wont allow me internet access (unable to connect to IP address, lack of DNS server) but eventually I get access. The instruction then tell me to run the ethernet from the modem to the router and then another cable to my computer from the router. When I do this, I lose all internet access. I thought I just had to instal the router using the provided disk but it never gets past the internet connection test.I have tried to provide the correct IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and dns servers like requested but clearly I am messing something up.
I have a Netgear wireless router that is connected to my desktop in my house to broadcast wireless throughout. However, the main computer is hooked up to an ethernet cord for a hardwired LAN connection. For some reason, my desktop will constantly disconnect from LAN and switch to wireless, back to LAN to wireless etc.
