Signed onto pc as admin, logged into router with correct user name and password. No page in the browser based configuration displays the complete information for the page. Menus are missing as are option labels, etc. The last time I accessed the router (about a year ago) I didn't have this problem.

I cannot open the config page of beetel adsl2 router using 192.168.1.1I have connected my laptop to router via Lan cable. Now when I give the ipconfig, I get some random IP and does not get the default gateway: Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.129.188 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :I cannot ping 192.168.1.1 nor 169.254.129.1 thus the web page of router cannot be opened.This all happened after I reset my router.

I've tried using the setup CD and doing a manual setup, but no internet connection is detected. I must confess to being a total wireless router newbie, this is my first one, so I am stumped as what to do next. I've looked at the FAQ's and through the forum as well, but I just don't know what might apply to my situation and as I am not very well versed in the terminology, I tend to get lost.
I have a Linksys WRT54GS router that is giving my some trouble. I recently got a new PC and moved my old one into my bedroom along with my Xbox 360. So I didn't have to switch my Ethernet cable between my xbox and pc I bought another cable. Much to my dismay this new cable would not work. At first I thought maybe the cable was bad, but when I connect my pc directly into my modem it works fine. This had my come to the conclusion that it was my router. I have two pcs hooked into it that work fine and a laptop that connects to it wirelessly, but if I try to hook my xbox or pc to it using the new cable they just act as if there isn't a cable connected. When I look at my router the light for the ethernet port that the new cable is in will flash on and off. I've hard reset my router and updated the firmware.

However if i set WEP password to protect the wireless connection, i am not able to connect to the wireless connection. Everytime i enter the passphrase, when trying to connect to the wireless network, it refuses to accept the password. I have tried this with 2 laptops (both running windows 7) and both have same issue.

afterwards i installed ALL available and latest drivers from dell or/and intel regarding this wifi adapter. the result is that the wireless adapter is again shown in the hardware manager and also in the system information of win7 which is great.BUT, somehow the win7 wifi network software/tools does still not recognize the adapter by the means of unplugging the lan cable i just see the wifi symbol with a red x. also opening the network and sharing console does not show the adapter to me although when clicking on "configure wifi networks" and "adapter properties" it is there and active "ready to use". additionally, the intel wireless diagnosis tool tells me that the adapter must have been deactivated or deinstalled. well, the tool is partially right, but the adapter was reinstalled and shows up in the hardware manager. somehow it missed that point ?
I just got a new Sharp Aquos Television and I wanted to try to find the SSID so that I could pick up a connection with my TV. When I went to command prompt and typed ipconfig to get the default gateway, the gateway ip took me to what appears to be my modem's config page and not the Linksys. how I can get to my WRT54G config page.

Switching browsers (I've tried Firefox 5 and IE 8) does not solve the problem, nor does disabling AdBlockPlus/NoScript on Firefox. Any way to access my router so I can begin forwarding ports again?

There is one issue. When connected and I log into the router it does not show these laptops or iPhone as being connected to the vpn. There is two spots that its supposed to show the page refreshes and shows nothing connected. Is there a setting I am missing?

But if I go (in the router) to the Lan Computers list under Device Info, three devices (2 wired, 1 wireless) do not appear. I do have a switch added to the system, but of the three devices connected to it, 1 shows in th Lan Computers list and the other 2 do not.Since everything works, I'm mostly just curious why this is. Every previous router I've had showed everything correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ASA 5550 running 8.4(5) and have installed ASDM 7.0(2), but when I try to manage the bookmarks under the Remote Access - Portal when I try to edit an individual item in a bookmark list the screen does not display any information. Is this a know bug, or do I need to have a specific java version for the new ASDM? As a side note, I have not noticed any other issues with the new version of ASDM, only the bookmarks. I initially tried to downgrade the ASDM version that I was using to connect, but it will no longer allow me to connect.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have encountering a problem with a new installation at my clients side recently.We have a 5508 wlc and a bunch of Laps connected to it.Recently we associated a 1142ap to the same controller.The issue we are facing is that , the client laptops that are connected to THIS ap are showing maximum of only 54mbps in their network information dialogue box.Initially i couldn't understand why this could happen.But after a bit of research , i came to know that this could happen because of ``unticked`` data rates in the controller , or because of not using wpa2 with aes as the security standard for N-series access points.Now i have enabled all data rates in the High Throughput section as well as enabled the correct encryption standard.But still the issue persists.We have checked with multiple laptops , to rule out the possibility of a faulty n/w card

I need the static ip to connect to a private network for my new job but cant connect to that network. I went to whatsmyip and found that my old dynamic ip is still showing up externally, it looks like my ip4 is using the dynamic as a preferred. My question is do i need to manually change the network connection on my LAN and wireless connection under ipv4 to change it from automatically obtain TO use the following address and put in my static?
