Routers / Switches :: Linksys Wrt54gs Config Page No Longer Showing Complete Info?
Oct 13, 2012Signed onto pc as admin, logged into router with correct user name and password. No page in the browser based configuration displays the complete information for the page. Menus are missing as are option labels, etc. The last time I accessed the router (about a year ago) I didn't have this problem.

Jul 21, 2012I'm currently trying to setup a Linksys SRW2048 switch.
The switch came with version 1.0.0 of the firmware (circa 2005), which worked fine with Google Chrome and Safari on OSX.
However, I recently upgraded to 1.2.2 (circa 2009), and the in-built web configuration page doesn't seem to work in anything except for IE6 or IE7.
Chrome and Safari give me a whole bunch of resource not available errors, and the page itself doesn't render properly at all:
Firefox also doesn't render it properly either:
It seems a bit strange on Linksys/Cisco's part that they'd release an updated firmware that meant their switch could only be used by Internet Explorer.
Or failing that, are there any known workarounds to get this to work with Chrome, Safari, Firefox - anything other than IE? Or anything on OSX or Linux?
Also, I heard that firmware 1.2.1 still works on non-IE browsers - any archives of older Linksys switch firmwares?

Mar 13, 2011I did RECOVERY on my computer. Its a Compac Windows XP Home edition. This computer runs off of my main computer by a router & adapter. My router & adaptor are showing green but the Internet is showing red. Its becuz my high speed Internat service is ATT.my.yahoo.com. which comes through IE. On my newer computer all is fine. My IE works good & all is working. but my IE on my older one which runs with the router wont set up.

I have 13 fixed IP addresses. I don't speak cisco, so I'm using the built in interface to configure it.If i choose IPoA I can enter the IP settings. If I choose PPPoA I can enter the username and password.I do not see anyway I can enter both the IP settings and the username + password on the WAN configuration page.

Dec 25, 2012Motorola wr850gp wireless router. The default ip is 192.168.10.1. I attempted to use it as a wireless access point and now it is not working at all. Aug 30, 2007My question is regarding gaining access to my Linksys wireless router configuration page. I recently turned my Linksys WRT54GL wireless router into an access point and since I have done so I am no longer able to access the configuration page for my router.
The problem that I am encountering is not one of connectivity, but rather entry. Prior to turning my wireless router into an access point I was able to connect to the router by means of my browser (192.168.1.1). I am still able to connect to the router, but whenever I type in a user name and password the router just simply does not recognize the information. I have tried resetting the router multiple times, but I am still denied access to my router despite having the correct user name and password. I have version 1.1 of the Linksys WRT54GL wireless router and have the latest firmware.

The version of Twonky Media server that was bundled with this router was old to begin with, and now we are stuck with it? I tried the E4200 but it just kept spinning my drive that's parked in a ThermalTake BlackX, at least the 3000 doesn't do that, but when can we expect some new firmware, it's been 8 months. I used to love Linksys, but with this kind of support I may have to move to a different brand, and I bet I am not alone. it doesn't break the E3000 like you broke the 4200.

Apr 8, 2012I installed this Linksys E1500 yesterday and have had a problem keeping my iPhone 4 and an iPod Touch connected to WiFi.The devices go to sleep. When I swipe the screen and "bring them back" the WiFi is Not Connected. I have to go in and re-enter my network password again. As long as the devices don't go to sleep, they maintain connectivity. Once connected they function properly.
The iPad 2 & Samsung Galaxy S phone we have seem to be keeping their WiFi connectivity, as well as a G62 HP laptop running Windows 7, an older XP machine using a Cisco AE1000 wireless network adaptor and the Xbox 360. The issue is just with the iPhone 4(ios 5) and the iPod Touch(ios 4).
I had issues with the iPad and the Galaxy phone until i disabled WMM Support in App & Gaming.I would bring this back to the retailer but I had it sitting on my desk for about 30 days and it's past their return policy.The firmware is up to date on the Router. I've tried power cycling all the devices including the cable modem & the new router.

Aug 17, 2011I've got the DIR-825 2.02. I had an issue where if you did change the IP adress default 192.168.0.xxx to something like 192.168.yyy.xxx, the configuration page was becoming inaccessible. It was super slow, was displaying the wrong pages with missing images and wrong page formating. I had to reset the router to default and then it was working fine.That seems to have been fixed since 2.05. Now you can change the default ip adress to anything you want and the configuration or setup still work fine.When I am on LAN, the setup page are displayed almost instantly. By remote, it's super slow.

Dec 6, 2011first off I was trying to change my ip address to dynamic from static, turns out I cant manually, anyways I was messing around with the configuration on my modem page (192.168.0.1) trying to enable dhcp because I know that if it shows that its not enabled yet I get my ip address automatically, it means my ip is static. I enabled a few things like netbios over tcpip and such and something to do with dns routing but I cant recall all I did and in what order because I can no longer get into the config. page and I cant connect to the internet and when I use command promp to renew my ip it says "an error occured while renewing interface local area connection... unable to contact your dhcp server and also an error occured while releasing interface loopback psuedo-interface1 : the system cannot find file specified.

Jan 29, 2012I have been trying to configure some settings on my modem and to do so I must access it from it's ip (192.168.250.1). However, when I load that ip in my browser it does not connect.
My router has a private ip of 192.168.0.1 because of a Double NAT issue which I am trying to fix by going to the modem's configuration page. I am pretty sure that it is 192.168.250.1 because that is what my router ISP Gateway says, along with ipconfig in cmd when I directly connected to the modem from my computer.
By the way, I am currently connected through my D-Link 254 router which is connected to my WiMax modem.

My problem is that when i enter my ip address into the address bar it doesn't recognize it. I can't use Utorrent or anything that requires ports to be opened..and it's a pain in the butt. when I type ipconfig on my command prompt it brings up..172.16.X.X and when i enter it into the address bar nothing is found. I'd like to port forward by accessing the modem's config page.I read on another thread that i could set my own ip address by going to: Control Panel>Network and Sharing center> Local Area Network>Properties of Ipv6 and typing my own ip address but when i do this i lose my internet connection.

I set it up using the CD and followed all the instructions (made a password, wrote down the key, etc.) - and my Wii CAN detect it, but when I type in the key on the Wii I get an error message. I looked online and they said the way to fix that specific error is to "change the channel" on the router to 1 or 11. (It is currently 6). If I am on a different network, I can also access the modems configuration via its public IP address.How can I restrict access to the configuration page via the public IP address and only allow access via the internal IP address?
