Linksys Access Point :: WRT 54GL - Configuration Page

Aug 30, 2007

My question is regarding gaining access to my Linksys wireless router configuration page. I recently turned my Linksys WRT54GL wireless router into an access point and since I have done so I am no longer able to access the configuration page for my router.

The problem that I am encountering is not one of connectivity, but rather entry. Prior to turning my wireless router into an access point I was able to connect to the router by means of my browser (192.168.1.1). I am still able to connect to the router, but whenever I type in a user name and password the router just simply does not recognize the information. I have tried resetting the router multiple times, but I am still denied access to my router despite having the correct user name and password. I have version 1.1 of the Linksys WRT54GL wireless router and have the latest firmware.

D-Link 254 - Can't Access Modem Configuration Page

Jan 29, 2012

I have been trying to configure some settings on my modem and to do so I must access it from it's ip (192.168.250.1). However, when I load that ip in my browser it does not connect.

My router has a private ip of 192.168.0.1 because of a Double NAT issue which I am trying to fix by going to the modem's configuration page. I am pretty sure that it is 192.168.250.1 because that is what my router ISP Gateway says, along with ipconfig in cmd when I directly connected to the modem from my computer.

By the way, I am currently connected through my D-Link 254 router which is connected to my WiMax modem.

Wireless :: How To Connect Third Linksys WRT 54GL To Main Router

Apr 12, 2011

I have a network where I have two wireless routers wired to a third (main) router. I want to connect a third wireless (Linksys WRT 54GL) to the main router, but I want to connect wirelessly (without any cables). I have tried to bridge it,ie disabling DHCP and assigning a static IP address which is in the same range as the main router but still if i connect my laptop using the third router I cant log onto the internet and worst still I cant ping the main router. The main router is the one that is connected to the proxy server. My connections are as follows, from the wireless antenna the cable goes to the proxy server's wan port, the main wireless router is linked to the server's lan port.My server's LAN ip is 192.168.0.1 and the main wireless router is 192.168.0.2 I have two other routers which are wired to this main wireless router and their local IP addresses are 192.168.0.4 and 192.168.0.5 respectively. I want to connect a third wireless router to the main router but this time without using a cable. What i have done so far is I have assigned it the IP address 192.168.0.6 and I have disabled DHCP,all the other settings I have put the same as the main wireless router.

Unable To Access Wireless Adapter Configuration Page To Update Firmware?

I ran ipconfig to get the adapter IP (screenshot attached/192.168.2.104). When I type the IP into the browser I get the "cannot display webpage" msg. I have tried turning off the power to the router, disabling Norton's firewall (I disabled Norton completely), and nothing works. Do not tell me to restore factory defaults on the adapter because I tried to get to the configuration page of another wireless adapter I have and am having the same problem.

I finally realized it wasn't broadcasting the ssid. All are working except I have an order computer running xp that previously worked-I hadn't checked it for a week-Ibut I just checked and it doesn't connect to the network. It finds the signal and I put the password in but it won't connect. I've deleted the connection and added it back with no luck.

With my new ISP, I no longer have a static IP address so I am trying to configure the WAP54G to use DHCP. Trying to access it thru the internet at 192.168.1.245 does not work.

Linksys Access Point :: WRT54G - Unable To Find Access Point In Home Network

Aug 29, 2009

I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network. My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1.  My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems. The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.

I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390  but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold  from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.

The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Linksys Access Point :: WAP54G Access Point Unable To Connect To More Than One PC?

Apr 25, 2011

I've got a AP WAP54G. I've managed to get into the configuration page and rename my router and set a WPA2-Personl password.

The issue I'm facing is that when me and my roomate try to connect to the router at the same time, it shows the laptop that connects second as one that has 'limited connectivity' and hence cannot use the internet. The 1st laptop however works fine!
The settings for the router have all been left to default.

I'm not sure, but does this problem have anything to do with the fact that the router in configured with a static IP. If so, then there is another issure which is that whenever I try to change it from static to automatic/dynamic IP, the page fails and the router doesn't even get connected to the configuraion page(192.168.1.245) after that. The only way to get that page again is the reset the router.

Also I'm not able to directly get into the config page when I connect my router to my laptop via lan. I need to change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.x where x is >1.

I've tried every work-about I could find and always get the 51300 error code, and am at a loss as to what else I can try to get the devices to connect to the access point.
