I've got the DIR-825 2.02. I had an issue where if you did change the IP adress default 192.168.0.xxx to something like 192.168.yyy.xxx, the configuration page was becoming inaccessible. It was super slow, was displaying the wrong pages with missing images and wrong page formating. I had to reset the router to default and then it was working fine. That seems to have been fixed since 2.05. Now you can change the default ip adress to anything you want and the configuration or setup still work fine. When I am on LAN, the setup page are displayed almost instantly. By remote, it's super slow.
I have been trying to configure some settings on my modem and to do so I must access it from it's ip (192.168.250.1). However, when I load that ip in my browser it does not connect.
My router has a private ip of 192.168.0.1 because of a Double NAT issue which I am trying to fix by going to the modem's configuration page. I am pretty sure that it is 192.168.250.1 because that is what my router ISP Gateway says, along with ipconfig in cmd when I directly connected to the modem from my computer.
By the way, I am currently connected through my D-Link 254 router which is connected to my WiMax modem.
I have a D-Link dsl 2640u, it's a modem but since it has 4 ports im assuming it's also a router. My problem is that when i enter my ip address into the address bar it doesn't recognize it. I can't use Utorrent or anything that requires ports to be opened..and it's a pain in the butt. when I type ipconfig on my command prompt it brings up..172.16.X.X and when i enter it into the address bar nothing is found. I'd like to port forward by accessing the modem's config page.I read on another thread that i could set my own ip address by going to: Control Panel>Network and Sharing center> Local Area Network>Properties of Ipv6 and typing my own ip address but when i do this i lose my internet connection.
I bought this wireless router the other day in order to get internet access on my Nintendo Wii. I set it up using the CD and followed all the instructions (made a password, wrote down the key, etc.) - and my Wii CAN detect it, but when I type in the key on the Wii I get an error message. I looked online and they said the way to fix that specific error is to "change the channel" on the router to 1 or 11. (It is currently 6). I type in my IP into the browser like I'm supposed to (the default IP of the router), but ALL the options on the page are greyed out and nothing is click-able. Here's a screenshot

I recently encountered a problem with my router. It's configuration page is not accessible quickly. When I opened it ( by typing 192.168.1.1 in my browser) it took ages to open and even when it did, the page lacked a lot of features i.e., it did not load properly. Then on a suggestion by a friend, I downloaded the latest correct version (I have an IQ above 60) for my router but the problem persisted. And it is only on my PC. When I access it from some other PC, it opens as it should. My router is only 6 months old.
I have been using this router for 6 months without problems. However, it hasn't been working since yesterday morning. It receives power but the Internet led doesn't light up. The network leds are blinking faintly and rapidly. I can't access the configuration page from my browser. Is it dead or not?
Up to this point, all the computers on the network accessed the e-mail server via the Windows name of the PC running the e-mail server. However, one of the PCs will need to access e-mail from the WAN soon as opposed to the LAN, so I switched the server name in Thunderbird (e-mail client) to the actually fully qualified domain name of the server (registered at NO-IP, which redirects to the e-mail server at home).
The problem I am running into is that all the requests sent for IMAP or SMTP are being blocked by the router. That's even though I added port forwarding rules for them. The logs show messages similar to the following:
"Blocked incoming TCP connection request from 216.168.101.68:51291 to 216.168.101.68:143"
It doesn't make a difference if I change the endpoint filtering to "Endpoint Independent" either. Any thoughts of what else I can try? DMZ is not an option.
Basically, I have a LAMP server for a small landing page for myself. It was all working fine until I got my new router. Now, I can only access my sites on a LAN.All the ports (3306, 80, 22) are opened and multiple port checkers online says so.I followed some of the basic steps mentioned in this forum such as firewall settings such as:
"Port and Address Restriced" disabled QoS Enabled Multicast Stream enabled DNS Relay set DHCP range to avoid any IP conflicts
Ive even temporarily removed all firewalls completely to make sure that is not the problem.

I have had my WR841N for about a year, supplied to me by my WISP. I like the router in terms of facilities but it seems to have one really annoying problem.
The router becomes inaccessible via the webpage after a random period of several days. I have at times associated the issue with occasional loss of radio broadband service but it is not always so. To try and further localise the problem I set the router up to send emails of the log to me every two hours from 17/04/2013 but today for the second time the emails stopped arriving after the 02:29 message and the router is inaccessible again. The router previously locked up with loss of broadband service on 26/04/2013 sometime after emailing a log at 02:41 on that day but had been running without issue from a cold restart at 12:25 as soon as I noticed loss of service. Today I have not lost broadband service and so even though I am no longer receiving an emailed log or able to access the router via its webpage I am leaving well alone for the present. Some months ago when I originally noticed the web access issue I downloaded and installed the latest firmware TL-WR841N-v7-120201 and I note that there have been no further firmware releases for the v7 model.
My broadband service is delivered via radio link from a local transmitter mast and is reliable with typical download speed of 20-30Mbps and 30-40Mbps upload, seldom if ever affected by weather so I now feel the problem is inherent in the router rather then being the result of some issue affecting broadband service which has been solid since 26/04/2013
Without the log I have no way of knowing what was happening when the router became inaccessible but I attach the last 24 hours of received log below.

I cannot access the configuration page for wifi router... my wifi router is buffalo WHR-G300NI usually access the page via 192.168.11.1but since I have plugged the wire from the internet socket on the wall to LAN port rather than WAN port and disable the DHCP , I cannot access the configuration page and I cannot change these because the ISP told me to do in order to access the internetIs there any other way to access the configuration page?if there isn't, how can I access to the configuration page
I need to access my modem config page which I could access months ago. In Start, Run, cmd, ipconfig, my default gateway is "192.168.1.1". when I type it in Chrome Browser it says Error 324(when antivirus on) and Error 101(when antivirus off). Tried with explorer (cant connect), Firefox(says done and a blank page) and opera, none working. The last time I could connect to that configuration page was like 4 months ago but I think I did something wrong and can't do it anymore.
I get disconnected from my ADSL2+ connection now and then and it is starting to irritate my a lot so I want to investigate the problem, but I can't access my modem config page. The modem is a Zhone 1511-A1 and the default ip is 192.168.1.1. I tried to reset the modem to isp configs and it did not work. When I ping my address it says "TTL expired in transit". I really don't know what to do next to get into this config[CODE]
I have the issue of being unable to access my router configuration page. My standard gateway IP (83.226.48.1), does not work, resulting in "unable to connect". If I try with my IPv4-adress, it just comes out with a blank page (Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer).
first off I was trying to change my ip address to dynamic from static, turns out I cant manually, anyways I was messing around with the configuration on my modem page (192.168.0.1) trying to enable dhcp because I know that if it shows that its not enabled yet I get my ip address automatically, it means my ip is static. I enabled a few things like netbios over tcpip and such and something to do with dns routing but I cant recall all I did and in what order because I can no longer get into the config. page and I cant connect to the internet and when I use command promp to renew my ip it says "an error occured while renewing interface local area connection... unable to contact your dhcp server and also an error occured while releasing interface loopback psuedo-interface1 : the system cannot find file specified.
My router/modem is a DSL-2740BI created a hostname [URL] At my service provider I was able to create a DNS setting where I specified my routers IP address. In my router I think I created a port forward (TCP port 8080 on both external and internal) with the ip address of a small "web server" (an Arduino module for home automation). When I enter my hostname I get to see my router config page instead of my "Arduino page".
I have Time Warner[Road Runner] and an ARRIS TG862 router. I have tried cmd->ipconfig->and connected through the address shown[Default Gateway;192.168.0.1] and have tried an ipconfig/ flushdns -> /release ->renew as well to no avail. Is there anything I could do to access the page? P.S. This was all done through a Windows 7 desktop connected directly to the router through an Ethernet cable
I'm currently trying to setup a Linksys SRW2048 switch.
The switch came with version 1.0.0 of the firmware (circa 2005), which worked fine with Google Chrome and Safari on OSX.
However, I recently upgraded to 1.2.2 (circa 2009), and the in-built web configuration page doesn't seem to work in anything except for IE6 or IE7.
Chrome and Safari give me a whole bunch of resource not available errors, and the page itself doesn't render properly at all:
Firefox also doesn't render it properly either:
It seems a bit strange on Linksys/Cisco's part that they'd release an updated firmware that meant their switch could only be used by Internet Explorer.
Or failing that, are there any known workarounds to get this to work with Chrome, Safari, Firefox - anything other than IE? Or anything on OSX or Linux?
Also, I heard that firmware 1.2.1 still works on non-IE browsers - any archives of older Linksys switch firmwares?
I have a D-Link DSL-2520u ADSL2+ modem. When I access the page 192.168.1.1, it prompts for a username and password. Upon successful authentication, I see the modem configuration page.
If I am on a different network, I can also access the modems configuration via its public IP address. How can I restrict access to the configuration page via the public IP address and only allow access via the internal IP address?
My question is regarding gaining access to my Linksys wireless router configuration page. I recently turned my Linksys WRT54GL wireless router into an access point and since I have done so I am no longer able to access the configuration page for my router.
The problem that I am encountering is not one of connectivity, but rather entry. Prior to turning my wireless router into an access point I was able to connect to the router by means of my browser (192.168.1.1). I am still able to connect to the router, but whenever I type in a user name and password the router just simply does not recognize the information. I have tried resetting the router multiple times, but I am still denied access to my router despite having the correct user name and password. I have version 1.1 of the Linksys WRT54GL wireless router and have the latest firmware.
I have the next config: PC -> Asus RT-N16 router (192.168.1.1) -> LinkSys WAG54G2 in bridge mode (192.168.0.1),How can I access to modem's config page from my PC ?
My internet connection is fine but I really need to update the firmware on my wireless adapter. I have no problem accessing the router's config page. I ran ipconfig to get the adapter IP (screenshot attached/192.168.2.104). When I type the IP into the browser I get the "cannot display webpage" msg. I have tried turning off the power to the router, disabling Norton's firewall (I disabled Norton completely), and nothing works. Do not tell me to restore factory defaults on the adapter because I tried to get to the configuration page of another wireless adapter I have and am having the same problem.
I have Verizon FIOS internet/wireless router and then a WRT310N wireless router connected to it thru Ethernet cable. I want to disable DHCP in the Linksys, but when I try to access the set up page at address 192.168.1.1 the Verizon router set up page shows up. I've tried to connect the router directly to the computer, but it needs the internet connection from the Verizon router. How do I get to the set up of the Linksys at the same time the Verizon is using the same address?
I'm moving from an 1801W to an SRP547.My adsl supplier (BT) has given me a username and password, and also a router IP address, a subnet and an gateway IP address. I have 13 fixed IP addresses. I don't speak cisco, so I'm using the built in interface to configure it.If i choose IPoA I can enter the IP settings. If I choose PPPoA I can enter the username and password.I do not see anyway I can enter both the IP settings and the username + password on the WAN configuration page.
I followed this simple procedure to turn my DIR-655 into an access point: url...and it all worked except when I go to url... (which is where I left the router's IP address set) I don't get the DIR-655's admin login GUI, just a timeout. Since my main Linksys router is on 192.168.1.1, and my cable modem is at 192.168.100.1, and the DHCP addresses handed out by the Linksys router is from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.149, getting to 192.168.0.1 should not be a problem. Functionally, the DIR-655 makes a great access point, wired and wireless are working very well, and I don't see any reason why I can't get to the web GUI admin page.I should be able to get to the DIR-655 router via the WAN port, as suggested in the procedure above, but I'd really really like to be able to get to it without having to connect a cable to the DIR-655 WAN port.
I'm plug with my laptop on the DLINK, no internet connexion available, and it's impossible to connect to 192.168.0.1 ..What am i suppose to do, i need to configure a static ip and specifics dns to get to the internet, and it seems that without internet i can't acces to 192.168.0.1 ...
typing 192.168.0.1 just times out when there no internet connection problem. I can go into my modem settings through. I don't know when this problem started as I hadn't needed to log into my router in over a year. I tried resetting it and still can not go to the log in page. I noticed a few months ago my NAT type went from open to strict on my xbox live but didn't really care at the time
It's kinda hard to keep "peckin" at the small numbers to go to the next page.Put this post where ever it needs to go but since I am in DIR-655, I put it here, because it's TOO AGGRAVATING to find the NEXT page.
I was just wondering on the stats page of my DIR-615 the WAN Stats is in packets. How do I convert that into megabytes and gigabytes so I can track my usage?
Since AT&T put in caps and do not provide a usage meter. I would like to keep track of my usage.
I have webcams that need port 8081 opened and I did that, everything worked fine until my DIR655 jammed up and power cycling it and the modem 3-4 times DID not make it work: no internet access and it was definitely a DIR655 problem. So, out with the paperclip to do the big reset, causing me to lose my configuration. When "most" of it came back up with my new config (I had screen prints), all was okay EXCEPT the webcams. Addresses and ports were all configured properly, address was fixed too on the client computer rather than use DHCP. I had a DNS relocation service running (DYNDNS) for the WAN side, but that address (My IP) didn't change either. I tried EVERYTHING. Finally, I realized in all my screwing around that I had enabled UPnP in my application, something I hadn't done before, but did this time as a desperation move. UPnP had always been checked off in the router. So.....I REMOVED my port forwarding and virtual server settings (either one worked before), and voila, everything working, Is this a normal occurrence, that if you have UPnP running, that this auto configuration overrides any manual configuration?
I need to access my employer's website to make changes from home. At work, I use a Mac and can use the built-in tools in Finder to quickly type in the ftp and log in. However, if I try to go in through Filezilla on a PC, the server never connects. I have tried using SFTP and CyberDuck as a web dev with no luck.
