How do I clear my router DNS cache on my ZyXEL P-660 router?I already cleared it on my PC with "ipconfig /flushDNS" in the command line but everyone sees my online IP camera, except me my online IP camera on LIVEwhen I try to access the camera URL i go to the router default/settings/home page
Every 2 minutes, I want to clear it, because some machines will be turned off. Currently, they will stay on on the left hand side of my host's window explorer.
I develop websites, and we moved a site from one server to another, and now I get the message the site has moved. I ran the cmd to clear the dns cache, but that didn't solve the issue. I tried stopping and restarting the client, that didn't work. It was already set to automatic. I am logged in to my laptop as an administrator. I tried to be the user Administrator, but it doesn't appear as a choice, but when I try to change my name, I get the message it is already in use. I am using XP Pro, SP3?
I have been encountering a can't find server (not page not found error 404) message in two ways. Either using a hyperlink to open a new web page or returning to a tab will yield this error. Refreshing the page will render the page properly. The two cures I have found that look to be the most promising are to run ipconfig /flushdns from the command prompt and to clear the prefetch cache.
cannot access internet from desktop Gateway WIN XP Mozilla FF Tried ARP cache clear -- went to DOS -- didn't work Tried Admin Tools, comp mgmt, services, routing/remote changed to disabled -- didn't workNow what?
We have a 3750x switch with some issues on the arp. Our servers become unreachable for some time, buy when I clear the arp cache, I am able to ping the server again. I have tried adjusting the arp timeout but I don't think doing so would be the permanent solution.
I've seen a couple of expired threads on this subject, so I'm sorry for resurrecting it! I have just got a ZyXEL P660HN-TxA router/modem on my home landline to use for wifi with my smartphone. The problem I have is it won't stay connected for long. It connects quickly & browsing is fast for a few minutes, but then it just kicks me offI am still connected to the wifi, but I can't browse anything or re-connect to the internet. Sometimes I can use it for up to 10/15 minutes before it kicks me off. I have to reset the modem, or turn the wifi off then back on via my phone.
how to open UDP port 16000 in my router Zyxel MAX 206 M1R...when i tried to start AGE OF EMPIRE 2 THE AGE OF THE KING in gameranger it says that my UDP port 16000 is not opened...so i am trying to open it..
I purchased a ZyXEL 3205 to serve as a universal repeater in my house, to boost the DSL wireless signal from upstairs to downstairs. I have a 2WIRE router, and my DSL is through AT&T. The wireless works just fine (and we've been connecting multiple devices through it for over a month), but the signal is weak downstairs, so this seemed like a good cheap solution.I found several good sets of instructions on setting up the 3205 as a repeater, so while complex, that was not really a problem.
However, the 3205's status is still marked as "disassociated", which means that it won't connect to the 2WIRE. It can see the signal, and I'm telling it to connect and giving it the correct key. It also broadcasts just fine, since my wireless devices can connect to the 3205 when it is turned on. However, the 3205 refuses to actually connect to the 2WIRE for some reason. Is there a known issue with connecting? I've checked all the obvious things - they're set to be on the same wireless channel, both using the same encryption settings, and there aren't any ip conflicts happening, since the 3205 is set to an unclaimed ip in the same space.
I am a mac user, and whenever I try to open this following link: [URL] to log in my router, nothing happens. Firefox and/or Safari browse the link for a while, but then nothing happens. I am using a Zyxel prestige series 600.
We have a ZyXEL (P-2601HN-F1) router and three computers in our house. Currently, we only use cables to connect to the router because we haven't been bothered to setup wireless. However, there's a curious problem where the moment we connect more than 2 devices at a time, the router loses connection to the internet. To be precise, all LEDs are on, except wireless (d'uh) and Internet.
So my ISP (Telus) recently replaced our old router with a ZyXEL VSG1432. I'm currently having a huge lag issue when my roommates laptop is connected to our network. He is connected via wireless, I'm wired. So I did some searching around and I think i can solve this by limiting his bandwidth with QoS settings. I'm getting conflicting information here though. After logging into the router there are no QoS options yet according to ZyXEL's website url...This router should have the settings available. Is it possible that Telus does something to remove this feature? Is there some not so obvious way to enable QoS? Is there some other way to limit the bandwidth?
My ZyXEL modem/router does not detect my ethernet cables. it has one that runs to the main computer and i have a cable connected to my xbox. the light does not turn on when i try to use the internet for my xbox and the xbox does not detect ethernet. the other port works fine for the computer.
I have one P-660HN-T1A ZyXEL wireless router at my home with 2mbps connection. ZyNOS Firmware Version: 3.40(UTU.0) my brother always keeps on downloading stuffs from bitTorrent and eats up all the bandwidth.
1. is there any way to put speed limit on each user of my wireless router??
2. or is there any way to just block torrent download on my router???
3. QOS [quality of service] setting on Zyxel router so that I make my priority higher than my brother?
i have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.
I have a 4-port Zyxel P334U with WLAN, and I would want to set it up so that besides normal WAN, each connected computer also has access to the other local computers. I've tried setting it up before, but haven't managed to get it working, so I gave up.I have DHCP set up, beginning at 192.168.1.16. WAN and ISP DHCP works, so each computer has a local IP (192.168.1.x) and a remote IP given by the ISP.
Several times a day our router will lose its connection to the internet (the internet light goes off, while the wireless signal stays on). All the computers in the house lose connection to the network while this happens. It will usually happen two or more times right after each other, so the computers can re-connect for a few seconds and then the connection will drop again. Eventually, after this repeats a few times, everything returns to normal. We've tried swapping cables, microfilters and 3 different routers (though all the same model). We tried the test socket, but the same problem happens. An engineer came to test the line but said he couldn't detect any problems. We have good download/upload speeds while the router stays connected and no noise on the phone line. I'm fed up of going in circles with the ISP tech support so I came here instead...One other thing I tried was OpenDNS, but that made no difference either...
Info: The router is a ZyXEL P-660HW-T1 v3... I've tried updating the firmware on it, but it wouldn't let me... If I remember correctly the Router Configuration Interface told me I don't have permission to do that. There are four computers connected.. mine is Windows 7, I'm pretty sure 2 others are as well, and also a Macbook... There's also various stuff like an Ipad, Kindle etc., which all lose connection at the same time.
I just updated the firmware on my ZyXEL NBG-416N router and now I cannot see the wireless network being broadcasted on my PC. Other devices in my home can view this network including my phone, HDTV and laptop. I have reset the router, modem and computer several times but my PC still cannot find that specific wireless network.I am using Windows 7 64-bitASUS 802.11n Wireless LAN CardAny reason that my computer is unable to find this specific network but can find others? switchie15 has chosen the best answer to his/her question.Click here to view the answer that was selected.
I am trying to allow an external website access to my http://localhost:8080. It is a trusted website.
I have a ZyXel Q1000 modem and a Trendnet TEW-452BRP router. The TRENDnet is serving a PS3, Xbox, Wii, and 2 iMacs and the ZyXel is serving the TRENDnet.
My public IP for the ZyXel is 65.xxx.xx.152 and it's IP address is 192.168.0.1 with a range of 192.168.0.2-254 My TRENDnet IP is 192.168.1.1 and a range of 192.168.1.100-199
I have setup a Virtual Server on the TRENDnet using HTTP, Protocol TCP 80/80 and LAN Server 198.168.1.109 (my iMac localhost). I have also setup Application forwarding and Port forwarding on both the modem and router (at different times, trying to resolve this).
Naturally none of those worked. I don't know if I need a Port forwarded or Application forwarding or the Virtual Server. Also don't know if either of those need to be on one or both devices.
All I do know is to access my localhost from the Internet, all I need to do is put http://65.xxx.xx.152 in the address bar of a browser outside my network, and my modem/and or router should forward the request to my iMac and my localhost:8080. But every configuration I have tried does nothing of the sort.
Just recently got a Zyxel VSG1432 router connected to the main computer in my home. I am now trying to connect my laptop wirelessly. It will connect to the router but says it is an unidentified network and it doesn't connect to the internet. There is an x in the network and sharing window.I have tried restarting the router, going to the router webpage and resetting to factory settings, none of this worked. Also contacted the service provider and spoke with two tech guys, but still no luck.
I just got ClearWire and frankly it's really good but only when wired directly to the modem. The wireless is a joke, my roommates can't even get a stable connection 20 feet away. So I was trying to hook up my DIink DIR-655 up to the WIXFPR-131 modem and it won't let me.
I am trying to configure a BEFSX41 router which sits behind a Motorola SB 5120 cable modem. Somehow it now shows DNS entries on the basic setup page. Comcast advises me to zero out all those entries. When I make the attempt a message pops up saying the entry is invalid, and when I close the warning the entry reverts. The router is set to get its IP address automatically from the SB 5120.
I have a cisco EA2700. How to clear the connected devices list?I want to use the parental controls, but when I look at the list it shows every device that was ever connected to my wireless.
Comcast installed a new fiber 10M EDI internet connection in our facility the other day and found out it is our responsibility to provide a layer 3 gateway to map the internet connection to the 14 public IP addresses they assigned to us. We are using RV042 for our existing networks with a T1 we had.
Will the RV042 provide the gateway function to route the single IP address comcast provided to the 15 public IP addresses? If so , can you provide the configuration example on this process?
