Zyxel Router Vsg1432 Won't Give Laptop Wireless Internet Access?

Just recently got a Zyxel VSG1432 router connected to the main computer in my home. I am now trying to connect my laptop wirelessly. It will connect to the router but says it is an unidentified network and it doesn't connect to the internet. There is an x in the network and sharing window.I have tried restarting the router, going to the router webpage and resetting to factory settings, none of this worked. Also contacted the service provider and spoke with two tech guys, but still no luck.

So my ISP (Telus) recently replaced our old router with a ZyXEL VSG1432. I'm currently having a huge lag issue when my roommates laptop is connected to our network. He is connected via wireless, I'm wired. So I did some searching around and I think i can solve this by limiting his bandwidth with QoS settings. I'm getting conflicting information here though. After logging into the router there are no QoS options yet according to ZyXEL's website url...This router should have the settings available. Is it possible that Telus does something to remove this feature? Is there some not so obvious way to enable QoS? Is there some other way to limit the bandwidth?

I do not have access to internet (I'm on some unsecured internet from around here now, very slow). When I start the internetdiagnostics from windows, he says it's the modem or the connection from laptop, router, modem to internet. However, the lights indicating internet and dsl on the modem are brightly burning and the router shows nothing abnormal too.
I have a WPA2-PSK security, the modem is Zyxel. Also, the ethernetcable portal on my laptop is broken, so I can't do anything non-wireless. My phone has the same problem with this internet, it can get a connection, but no internet.

I bought the router E2500 and I followed the steps for its configuration. It so happens that most of the time I turn on my router, it does not connect to microcomputer, because it loses the internet settings, requiring that I turn the CISCONNECT and after that, I have to turn off the microcomputer, wait for 2/3 minutes and then reconnect, for only then will be able to surf the internet. I notice that many times even I doing all this procedure the router does not give access to the internet. What should I do?

I currently have a sagem router provided by my isp (sky), as the signal does not reach all areas of my premesis and sky refuse to let me use my own router I decided to purchase a wireless extender. I got a Edimax EW-7416APn and configured it using the following settings at the following address:when I connect to the extender i can gain access to the management settings, if i perform a scan using the extender it can see the original router, if I check the security settings they hold the correct ssid, security type (wpa - tisk) and the correct passphrase.

Bought a new latop from komplett.no Got it yesterday. turned it on and found network and all was fine. but the network wich alreddy is giving other computers internet wont give my new laptop internet. checked with my old laptop and wireless network and internet works fine on that one, so i dont understand why my new laptop wont get it

I am trying to access the internet trough my WRT610N connected to a ZyXEL P-2601HN provided by my ISP.
I have the WRT610 all setup and working, but I cannot connect to the internet. The WRT610N is a the latest firmware version.
The WRT610 is connected (Internet) by cable to the Zyxel (one of the four ports)with a cat.5E patch cable.
the wireless is so much better on the WRT610N than the ZyXel.

After a couple of hours using the internet, the connection stopped. The wireless router still had an 'Excellent' signal, but it also said I had no internet access. All of the other wireless devices in my house connect to the internet perfectly, including when right next to the laptop.I've tried disabling the firewall and resetting the computer a few times, but nothing seems to pick up the internet access. The troubleshooting guide tells me that it is a problem with the wireless modem, but quite obviously that isn't true.

Linksys E1000 running on Window XP
Trying to access the internet with a dell laptop after my daughter messed with the router. She gave me the passowd but when I try to log in from the laptop that has never been logged on since the pw changed, I get a message that wants the network key. I have read several posts about getting the network key but didn't see a network key.I have cisco connect on a different computer and can access the details of the router but haven't found the network key. I can get to Wireless, Wireless Security and the security mode is WPA2/WPA. I can see the password but where is the network key?

Today, suddenly my internet went down so I checked up on it and I found out that something might be wrong with my router. I can connect just fine if I connect my computer with the modem directly but when I plug the modem to the router, I can connect to the router but it doesn't give me any internet.

I am experiencing connectivity issues with the wireless part for several weeks. The laptop connects to it, but it shows me that it does not have internet access.I also have a belkin router that I also use. So, when I have the connectivity issues, I connect to the other router. When I use the Cisco Connect application, it goes on for a couple of minutes and then gives the message "If you are not connected to my router SSID name you can't update your router settings".

How to compete with zyxel´s wireless guest access, when it comes to "one click guest access code"? The one button feature that comes with the printer provided with this solution is a customer demand in may cases. I´m sure that linksys and cisco can figure some easy setup on how to provide this in their portfolio.

We have a guest wireless network using 1130AG Access Points. Is it possible to allow devices on this network access to an Internal IP? I know that kind of defeats the purpose on the guest network, but we'd like to give access to internal email to these devices. Currently this does not work because you cannot loop back into the network to gain access (out the firewall and right back in the same port).

I have one P-660HN-T1A ZyXEL wireless router at my home with 2mbps connection. ZyNOS Firmware Version: 3.40(UTU.0) my brother always keeps on downloading stuffs from bitTorrent and eats up all the bandwidth.
1. is there any way to put speed limit on each user of my wireless router??
2. or is there any way to just block torrent download on my router???
3. QOS [quality of service] setting on Zyxel router so that I make my priority higher than my brother?

Recently a router crashed and some suspicious about the client arised. The point is that now the order is to deny all kind of router admin access for the client. I was thinking, is this a good idea or will be better to give him limited access to the router, to avoid the client to try to access the router at all cost? Something like to stop the motivation to crack the router password.

I just updated the firmware on my ZyXEL NBG-416N router and now I cannot see the wireless network being broadcasted on my PC. Other devices in my home can view this network including my phone, HDTV and laptop. I bought a new modem (Zyxel P-660H-D1) few weeks ago and since then my internet has been alot slower than before. When i start up my computer, it isn't actually that slow at first... it starts getting slow after around 10-20 minutes. I also started getting bluescreens from time to time. My downloads aren't that much slower then before, but loading internet pages is painfully slow and online games are lagging alot. This is also happening with my xbox360, so I don't think it's my computers fault. With my old modem (Telewell EA-501) I was getting around 6Mbps, but with the new one its only around 1-2Mbps. My ping is also very high (around 400ms) and I have some packet loss. My jitter is 200ms.

everytime I turn on my PC it doesn't see the modem or router and won't connect to internet. I have to turn on the PC, unplug the modem and router and replug them in before it sees the internet.Any other way of doing it doesn't work. (I leave modem router on 24/7, PC is the one in sig, running Win &. Modem is an older Motorala surfboard, wireless is ZyXEL XtremeMIMO X-550 Router.

I have a WRV4400n in my company and almost every day I have to reboot so people can get out to the internet, It lets you see the local network also if I put a desktop on line it will not give a DHCP address, untill I reboot the router. then all is fine, It has the latest greates firmware.

- Other users connect to the WAP and get Internet access
- Laptop connects to many other networks and has Internet access
- Laptop is running Vista
- ipconfig /all has address, mask, gateway, DNS, and looks normal
- Adapter is Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g with latest drivers

I've got threeLinux Boxes (running Centos 6). They were all connected to my cheap WRT54GL-- DHCP worked every time.Absolutely no problems. Both the LInux boxes and the WRT54GL had MTU set to manual, 1492.I replaced the WRTt54GL with the expensive E4200. I set the new router's MTU to manual, 1492. NONE of my Linux boxes ever receive a DHCP address. I look at the logs, and they do DHCPDISCOVER, get DHCPNACK, try several different intervals, and then fail the interface and quit.ALL I did was unhook cables from the WRT54GL and plug into the E4200. Yes, the WRT54GL was powered off. NOTHING was changed in the Linux configs. Yes, DHCP is enabled, address-range assigned, etc. BTW-- one box is dual boot with Win7-- in Win7 (using the same card, obviously), DHCP works just fine. But, Linux doesn't work.
I can give the boxes static IP's, and all is well. Just can't get DHCP to work. I evfen tried putting in DHCP reservations (via MAC assignments) for the E4200-- still doesn't work. The new E4200 is on the 02 firmware (which I believe is cuurent). If I can't iron this simple task out, in a couple of days I'm taking the E4200 back, and getting a refund. I'll stay with my old WRT54GL... it works. Hate to give up on some of the new E4200 features, though.
