View 1 Replies View RelatedMy onboard network adaptor card died so I bought a Rock USB lan Card RJ-45. It worked for 30 mins then just stopped working. When I look at the device driver details, it recognises it, and also says the drivers are up to date. When i try to connect to the modem for internet connection it says ....There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection 4 adaptor. A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken....Ichanged the cable, still same message, I went to the internet on another computer to download drivers but it still says drivers are up to date. My system is a hp p6380a home pc. Running windows 7 64 bit. Im thinking that it might be a faulty usb card but when I spoke to a guy at a computer shop he said that they are not compatible with 64bit computers. Ok then why did it work for 30 - 1hour.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install the WLAN driver for Dell Dimension 9200C desktop computer running Windows XP but I keep getting the error that no compatible hardware was found. I've gone to the appropriate Dell Drivers site for the computer's model and I'm 99% sure I downloaded the correct software for WLAN: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN MiniCard. After going to Device Manager and looking under "Network Adapters", there is no Dell WLAN card at all (direct ethernet connection for internet works). Is it possible that the computer cannot find the WLAN network card, which prevents me from installing the driver software, even though it exists? If so, what can I do? If not, I guess I'll go buy a USB network adapter.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThe Linksys EA4500 router is designed to be added to an existing network as an additional access point. See the following description:
Setting your Linksys Wi-Fi or Smart Wi-Fi Router to Bridge Mode is applicable when you want to:• Connect two (2) routers with the capability of sharing the network resources • Use the router as an additional access point on an existing network • Connect the router to a modem/router from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) • Disable the router functionalities to work with third party devices
http:[url].....
Unfortunately the Linksys X3000 DSL modem router is not compatible to the bridge mode, since the internal switch fails if a MAC address of a wireless device switches between the X3000 internal access point and the access point of the EA4500 router. In the faulty state, no local network resources (print server, NAS, ...) are accessible anymore.
Comcast has inform me that my cm-100 is no longer compatible with their new upgrade. They say I need docsis 3.0 and mine is only certified to 2.0.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using Belkin modem/routers/network adapters for years and am quite happy with my current Belkin N+ wireless router (model F5D8635-4 ver1). I am in the process of upgrading my home broadband from ADSL to ADSL2+ which, in theory will increase my download speed from approx 5mbps to 17mbps. I have been offered a free Thomson (Technicolor TG582n Pro) router. This will involve reconfiguring the current set up with all the devices currently connected to my network. Not a big deal but will there be any benefit over my existing Belkin set up?
