D-Link DCS-930L :: MyDlink Does Not Work Other Than Port 80
May 22, 2011I have a DCS-930L and when I was viewing from mydlink.com, it works fine. However, it is interfering with my personal web server which is also hosting on Port 80. When I change the port on DCS-930L configuration page to other port like 8080, I can't view it on mydlink.com, but if I view it locally, it works which defeats the whole purpose.

Jul 22, 2011I have installed two 930L cameras which work fine via mydlink. When I attempt to connect them to D-View Cam 3.11 they fail to connect or will not stay connected.I first tried connecting to the router with both cameras in the same room as the router. One will connect and stay connected but the other will connect and freeze or not connect at all. If I move th GOOD camera out of the room, it will not connect.Do I have a router issue? I am using Verizon FIOS with their supplied router (Actiontec, I think). My wireless laptop connects but signal strength is never 5 bars.

Jan 4, 2011I am timing out when attempting to connect to a particular website for all the computers on my network using my DIR-655. I checked my router's setting but I have no website filtering in place. Is there any other router setting which would cause one particular http address to always time out ? When I try to ping the web address it times out also, so it makes me think it is not the DNS server. Of course it could be my ISP, but why would a single web address time out always whereas my normal web surfing ?

Jun 29, 2011I'd had my camera offline for the last couple of months, and in the interim I've upgraded both my main pc and the wireless router. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on the pc, and the router is a netgear gigabit dual band wired/wireless. When running through the camera setup I am not able to get setup to find the camera, whether wired or wireless. I know that the camera's online as it shows in the routers device table, and I'm able to access the camera with my browser. However, the failed setup prevents my registering the camera on MyDlink. Any thoughts? Should I be looking at the ports on the router in regard to the camera's IP?My goal is to be able to remotely monitor my home, which the MyDlink service seemed to offer. Based on what I've read, it appears there are other ways to achieve my goal, but I would like to figure out the install problem.

Aug 7, 2011Setup my DCS-930L for DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) so I can access the DCS-930L via the Internet (couldn't access the camera half the the time while on vacation using mydlink) and can now access the camera using my laptop, Android Thrive, and Motorola Droid 3 via the URL I've created but can only see the video when using the laptop.
I have the DCS-930L set to Java but when I log into the camera with the Thrive or Droid 3 (both Android devices) I don't get video. I can make changes to the camera settings and everything else you can do when logged into the camera but just can't see the video. If I change the 'View Mode' in the video setup to 'Image', I will get a picture on all three devices (Thrive, Droid 3, and laptop).What do I need on the Droid 3 & Thrive so I can see the video when I log into the DCS-930L with an Android device?

May 6, 2011I downloaded the MAC setup Utility(BETA) and it can't find the camera.The camera is connected via Ethernet-Light on the front under the lens is green (blinks sometimes)First thing I noticed wrong was the setup utility asks if the light on the side of the camera is lit green-there's no light on the side of the camera as far as I can tell. I tried unplugging the camera and hitting the reset button on the back-nothing works.

All machines are on the same network.I have tried firewalls on, off, and uninstalled. Jul 23, 2011My internet speeds are 45 Mbps DL and 1 Mbps UL and my various wireless connections (3 laptops in my household) were achieving speeds anywhere from 25-40 Mbps DL. My router started acting up and wasn't letting anyone connect via wifi so I did a factory reset and set it up the same way I did before (as best as I could), it started working fine again but now the speeds on all the devices that are connecting to at are capped at 18 Mbps. A simple speed test shows that no matter what they won't pass 18 Mbps, I am almost 100% certain this is the router and I was wondering what I might have done wrong or what is causing this.

We have a WDR4300 router that works well about 98% of the time. We have a static IP address from our ISP configured through PPPoE in the router and are hosting our own email and web server at local IP 192.168.1.200 behind the router. Port forwarding is enabled and working beautifully.
At some times throughout the day, any computer behind the router on our local network is unable to browse to our own website by our domain name (e.g. www.xyz.com) nor by the static IP it is attached to. We also get e-mail errors with mail client configured to use the domain name or the static IP it is attached to as the outgoing mail server. When this happens, I am still able to browse any other site on the internet without problem... just not our own. Also, I have verified that while this is happening (internal computers can access the internet but not our own website):
1) I can browse to our website just fine from a computer outside of our network (e.g. a proxy or a computer controlled remotely from my home)
2) a computer from within the office that cannot reach our website using the domain name or the static IP it is attached to can still reach the website by browsing to the local IP address of the web server (192.168.1.200)
3) the problem seems to resolve itself sometime within 45 minutes of noticing it is occurring if we do nothing. We can make the problem resolve itself sooner by restarting the router.
I have the impression that this problem MIGHT start occurring when users are downloading files from our website. Of course, if this is the case, we cannot simply restart the router to fix the problem because then we are cutting off their download.

May 17, 2011For sure odd reason my DIR-825 won't connect to my website and just this one website. Every other site I go to works. And this problem is happening by WIRED and WIRELESS connections. On top of this the site is being blocked on my desktop, laptop, and my iPod Touch (WiFi). That's three devices!! Neither the router or my anti-virus (Avast Pro) are blocking the URL. Also, I know the site is not down since I can connect to it by using my neighbors open wireless network. Plus, I can pull up the website at work using the same laptop. So, I've reset the router, rebooted it, and even downgraded to 1.12NA firmware and now back to 1.13NA. I pinged the site in command prompt and all four requests timed out.

AirPort Utility 5.5.2, OSX 10.6.6.I can see the cam with the myDlink Lite iPhone (4) App when I am in my house with my wireless network. When I am out, away from my network, the App can't connect to the cam, tells me to check my network settings. I did the wps way and added the cam in the airport base utility *Access Control* tab but still doesn't work. Checked in the cam web page settings, can't figure out what the Pre-Shared Key is and where I get it/set it up in the airport utility...

I then start fresh. i get all the way to choosing wireless and input the password. It states that there is a problem saving your settings. I tells me nothing more. I spent 4 hours on the phone with tech support and i can get it working through wired but I can't put it in my childs room wired. it worked perfectly before the router switch. funny thing is that its the same brand and model router.
