I have a blog and website hosted by X9 Hosting. I am unable to connect to cPanel, the website, the blog, or and X9 sites.This began when saving a WordPress article in the blog. The save hung and then all connectivity through the router was lost.When using the modem (wired) I can visit the above sites. what do I need to do to gain wireless connectivity back?
View 7 RepliesI own an E1000. It is hooked up to a Motorola cable modem via Comcast. I have a personal website sohebvahora.com (still under construction) where I use cpanel to administer it. I somehow lost all connectivity to my website midday and have not been able to connect back to it in a few days. Every other site I have gone to works except mine. It doesn't make sense.Also, I tried connecting my laptop directly to the Motorola modem and my personal site loads, so it has to be the router. I have tried different devices connected to the router as well, like my ipad, iphone, and other laptops, but the website doesnt load on them either
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT310N V2 wireless router. Last week it started blocking access to our family website. That website appears to be the only one that is blocked. Every other website we have tried works just fine. I have tried the following.Remove the WRT310N router and plug a computer directly into the broadband modem. After this everything works fine for the one computer I have hooked into the internet.Remove the WRT310N router and substitute an old Linksys non-wireless router. Everything works fine for the hardwired computers on the LAN. Again, not really an option, need wireless access.
Unplug the router and so a soft reset. Still blocks this one website.I have not done a hard reset to factory specs. I wasn't looking forward to redoing everything I had set up.I looked over every setting in this router and can't find anything that would cause it to block a web page. I am far from a networking expert, but most of the settings seem pretty obvious.
ATT Uverse modem provides internet for the house. Uverse modem also includes a wifi router. The HP C410a printer is connected wirelessly to the Uverse router. The printer is able to access the internet, and all computers (including the problem Mac) can print wirelessly when wirelessly connected to the Uverse router. The Mac sits at the opposite end of the house, far outside the range of the Uverse router. To solve this, we have a Netgear Powerline adapter connected to the Uverse router to provide internet over powerlines throughout the house. At the opposite end of the house, the Linksys E1000 is connected by ethernet to the Netgear Powerline outlet. This setup works - all computers, including the Mac, can wirelessly connect to the E1000 and there is fast internet access.
Two different PC's can print wirelessly to the HP C410a while connected to the E1000 - it works perfectly. However, the Mac can't print via the E1000 - I have to carry the Mac over to be in range of the Uverse router and then print. When you try to print on the Mac, it can't "find" the printer. However, if I open the HP print utility on the Mac and manually enter the IP address of the printer, a new printer pops up and I can make it print test pages. But I still can't print anything else from the Mac.
The Mac can print if the E1000 is bypassed with a physical ethernet connection to the Powerline outlet. So the conflict is definitely between the E1000 and the Mac, because everything else works in every other combination.I think something in the E1000 is preventing the print driver on the Mac from sending data to the printer, because the Mac can "communicate" with the printer via the HP print utility software, but whenever you try to print using the driver it can't connect to the printer. I disabled the E1000 firewall
So here is the issue:
When I connect my modem directly to my computer (modem > computer) it works just fine, internet connects and everything through the direct ethernet connection.But when I connect the modem to the router and then try to connect wireless with any other computer (modem > router > wireless) nothing works. Not even when I have it connected directly from the router to the ethernet on the main computer. (Which has ALWAYS worked until now.
My e1000 was working fine until it was accidentally unplugged. Now it doesn't work. I downloaded the set up program from the site and tried to run it, but it does not recognize an internet connection when I have the modem connected to the router and the router connected to the PC. The internet works when I connect the modem directly to the PC. I have unplugged everything and restarted the PC several times and tried running the software again, but no dice.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have an E1000 router set up on a 2006 Dell PC as main hub of a network that includes kids' 2003 Dell PC (with a Cisco Connect USB receiver plugged in because it has no wireless capabilities) and wife's Dell laptop. We're about to change main desktop computer to an iMac (2011 refurb, won't be running Lion which I know there's issues with as far as Cisco Connect), give the 2006 Dell to kids and get rid of the old 2003 box. I cannot locate my installation CD, I'm sure it's somewhere in our rather cluttered computer area, although I understand I can download what I need. This probably is a dufus question, and I apologize in advance, it's just not clicking in my mind, but basically am I going to have to go back to step one, just like the first day I set up the router, as far as setting up our network?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys E1000 wireless-n router. I bought the router originally so I could get my Nintendo DS on Wi-Fi. I then realized that DS games require a WEP Key, but my E1000 defaults to WPA/WPA2 mixed mode. My laptop and my Wii connect online with the default settings just fine. My 3DS also seems to be able to connect with the internet router, but not Wi-Fi, for some reason. So when I'm on Cisco connect, I go to Router settings, it brings my web browser to "http://192.168.0.1". From there I go to the Wireless tab, and then click on Wireless Security. I've tried multiple times to change the Security Mode to WEP, and even disabled security. But after I save the settings, the connection on my laptop is lost, and I have to reboot my router all over again, and am back with the default WPA/WPA2.

Lately when I turn on one of my computers, or attempt to connect with my Motorola Xoom tablet it will show connected but I will not have internet access. Initially it will show that I have internet access but not work, then after about 1-2 minutes my PCs will show "No Internet access" for about 2-3 minutes, then it will show "Internet Acess" again and still not load. After that, in about 1-3 minutes the internet will start working and work as good as ever until I disconnect (manually or by turning off my computer) then connect again; the process described avove happens again.

When they are both connected to the E1000 via cat 5 cable I can share files and directorys with no problems. When I connect the laptop via WiFi I am unable to share files. In fact I cannot ping the laptop from the desktop or the desktop from the laptop. It is like the AP Isolation is on but I have checked that setting and it is off.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am timing out when attempting to connect to a particular website for all the computers on my network using my DIR-655. I checked my router's setting but I have no website filtering in place. Is there any other router setting which would cause one particular http address to always time out ? When I try to ping the web address it times out also, so it makes me think it is not the DNS server. Of course it could be my ISP, but why would a single web address time out always whereas my normal web surfing ?

Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the configuration of the router by typing url...in a browser, be it wireless or weirdly. For example, Firefox displays "Connection has been reinitialized". Furthermore, when I launch Cisco Connect, it only shows the error "Unable to connect to router". I tried to switch my router off and on, but that doesn't work. Totally resetting the router solves the problem, but not definitely.Is there a solution that does not require resetting my router?

I will have to continously turn off and on the wifi of the macbook to have it force to look at wifi networks. It will not be able to see also other wifi networks which are present in my neighbors which my windows 7 and other machines can see. After playing around with it I found that the macbook will connect to wifi only after I connect it momentarily via cable. I do this everytime I turn on my macbook.I just upgraded to a Macbook Pro running on Lion and the same thing happened. I tried the same solution of connecting first via cable but to my disappointment, would not see any wifi network including my neighbor's which again the other machines can see. So I am stuck with using cable for now.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got the new Linksys E1000, and follow the Cisco Connect to setup. No IP received from the service provider (which is Fibre-to-the-building, no modem is required). Goto the setup page and confirmed that the connection type is "DHCP".Once i unplug the cable from E1000 (internet port) and plug into my old wireless router, everything work nicely. The internet connection & cable itself seems fine. Switch the cable into notebook, and get the IP as well, it seems the service provider didn't lock the mac address of the devices (routuer nor PC). Cloned the mac address but nothing improved.Tried release the IP before unplug from the old router, switch off old router, and wait 10mins before connected to E1000 but still no luck.

I have a set of computers I want to have set up as a lab on their own router and have a WRT54GS available for me to modify.
The WRT is in the dining room (office) and the cable modem/E1000 are about 45 feet away.
I want to set up the wireless environment on the E1000 as 192.168.1.1-24 and the wired network as 192.168.2.1-24 with the wired network being able to wirelessly connect to the wired so all the machines in the house can see my server and other machines.
E1000. Setup Acer laptop with router and it is working fine. However I do not have Cisco Connect on the computer. I would like to use it to connect other devices etc.

It appears the only way to get it installed is to run the Cisco Setup program. But since the router is working fine, I don't want to mess with the setup. 2. I run my Cisco Connect app and it asks me to change my router admin password.
If I don't change it - I can not use Cisco Connect app.
If I provide my WiFi password then it changes my router admin password.
Maybe it was done to have a "simple" solution - 1 password for everything. But maybe its a bug because router admin password should be different from WiFi password fro security reasons.
Connected my Dell laptop to the E1000 using the enclosed disk, easy install and no problems with wireless connection. Created a USB via the install disk to connect the Dell desktop (XP pro SP3). When running installing received error pop up "installation not compete" contact Linksys support for assistance. Disabled all internet connections and tried a manual installation but failed. Should I just purchase a wireless USB addapter?
