This problem just started. I am unable to load certain https sites (for work). If i directly connect to ethernet, it works, so my isp isnt my problem. When i try to connect to the sites, it says "sending request" then times out. I have played around with the settings non stop and nothing has worked. I have a mac running 10.7.5.
View 3 Replies2 linksys routers a E1000 (fw v2.1.02) and a E4200 (fw v1.0.03) aren't accessable via HTTPS. Both via LAN https://router-ip and via wan https://isp-router-ip:8080 . Both routers are configured correctly (allready did a rerstore to fact. defaults. while having a chat with linksys live chat support). Everything without a result.
Ie9 doesn't accept the linksys/cisco certificate. after the first warning ie9 just sais that it's unable to show the page .
I did some testing and found that it doesn't work with a win7 +IE9 (up to date updates) and also not on a win XP +IE8 (up to date updates), win XP +chrome (up to date updates).
And it works on a old image (virtual Pc) of WIN XP- IE6 (no up to date updates) and win XP(up to date updates) +firefox (older version) .
i tried to export the certificate using the xp-ie6 virtual pc. and import it else where, but that works within the lan. Over the WAN it's a " NO GO" . Is this a " Microsoft" or a " linksys/cisco" issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have today the issue that I am unable to load certain websites, I can enter but whenever I click on continue to navigate in that same site for example FACEBOOK, I see the operation just loads and dont go anywhere, after that remains in same condition unless I cancel or close the browser.I checked the firewall, and also the antivirus, but nothing seems wrong, I can get in into HOTMAIL, GOOGLE, but again certain sites if I search something on GOOGLE, get frozen again .

So- I wanted to set up the software on our desktop and so I put in the set-up disk. I keep getting message "We didn't find your router" even though I now have the computer linked directly by ethernet cable. I do have connectivity to internet which I set up using my "Easy set-up key" and have a strong signal. Can't get past the first router step on the set-up disk to install the program- so now do not have Cisco Connect on any computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can not access my Linksys E3000 router via https://192.168.1.1.Before this mishap, I was able to gain access to my Linksys E3000 router via http://192.168.1.1 and/or the Cisco Connect software application on Windows 7. Yesterday, I went into my router's administration page and disabled http, and enabled https. I then closed out all browsers, restarted them and entered https://192.168.1.1
After that, I learned quickly I made a huge mistake to make these changes. I simply can not access my router admin wired or wirelessly. Accessing the internet works great, but router admin page is a no go.Firefox and IE states, "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." and was unable to proceed.Firefox even gave me the option to accept a security exemption to proceed, but that failed.
I have also tried using the Cisco Connect utility, and that also failed. I have taken these steps and not been able to access my router's admin page.I don't want to take the last final resort to reset my router and re-enter my settings again. I know I saved the router's backup file somewhere, but can't find it.Is there another way for me to gain access via https with http disabled? All I want to do now is go back in and change it back to enable http access.
I'm having wrt610n and there is an issue, i can login to the config page via http, but using the same computer i'm not able to login there via https but the same time i can login via ipad and the other computer, using the https.i even tried to reset the router settings, but the result was the same, so what PC option can cause it?

When I connect my modem directly to my computer (modem > computer) it works just fine, internet connects and everything through the direct ethernet connection.But when I connect the modem to the router and then try to connect wireless with any other computer (modem > router > wireless) nothing works. Not even when I have it connected directly from the router to the ethernet on the main computer. (Which has ALWAYS worked until now.
My e1000 was working fine until it was accidentally unplugged. Now it doesn't work. I downloaded the set up program from the site and tried to run it, but it does not recognize an internet connection when I have the modem connected to the router and the router connected to the PC. The internet works when I connect the modem directly to the PC. I have unplugged everything and restarted the PC several times and tried running the software again, but no dice.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have an E1000 router set up on a 2006 Dell PC as main hub of a network that includes kids' 2003 Dell PC (with a Cisco Connect USB receiver plugged in because it has no wireless capabilities) and wife's Dell laptop. We're about to change main desktop computer to an iMac (2011 refurb, won't be running Lion which I know there's issues with as far as Cisco Connect), give the 2006 Dell to kids and get rid of the old 2003 box. I cannot locate my installation CD, I'm sure it's somewhere in our rather cluttered computer area, although I understand I can download what I need. This probably is a dufus question, and I apologize in advance, it's just not clicking in my mind, but basically am I going to have to go back to step one, just like the first day I set up the router, as far as setting up our network?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys E1000 wireless-n router. I bought the router originally so I could get my Nintendo DS on Wi-Fi. I then realized that DS games require a WEP Key, but my E1000 defaults to WPA/WPA2 mixed mode. My laptop and my Wii connect online with the default settings just fine. My 3DS also seems to be able to connect with the internet router, but not Wi-Fi, for some reason. So when I'm on Cisco connect, I go to Router settings, it brings my web browser to "http://192.168.0.1". From there I go to the Wireless tab, and then click on Wireless Security. I've tried multiple times to change the Security Mode to WEP, and even disabled security. But after I save the settings, the connection on my laptop is lost, and I have to reboot my router all over again, and am back with the default WPA/WPA2.

Lately when I turn on one of my computers, or attempt to connect with my Motorola Xoom tablet it will show connected but I will not have internet access. Initially it will show that I have internet access but not work, then after about 1-2 minutes my PCs will show "No Internet access" for about 2-3 minutes, then it will show "Internet Acess" again and still not load. After that, in about 1-3 minutes the internet will start working and work as good as ever until I disconnect (manually or by turning off my computer) then connect again; the process described avove happens again.

When they are both connected to the E1000 via cat 5 cable I can share files and directorys with no problems. When I connect the laptop via WiFi I am unable to share files. In fact I cannot ping the laptop from the desktop or the desktop from the laptop. It is like the AP Isolation is on but I have checked that setting and it is off.

My problem is that every "https" website I go to fails at its certificate validation. Every browser I use (Firefox 4, Chrome, IE9) warns me that the security certificate failed the validation. If I click "continue anyway" the browser shows a blank page. This happens for every https site. I have tried mail.live.com, mail.google.com, bankofamerica.com, etc. I can't even connect to windows update (which is really bad). The problem is limited to this computer. All my other computers (2 laptops with windows 7 32 bit) connect to websites using https just fine. My computer is freshly installed, but I scanned for spyware/viruses/trojans and came up empty.

when my Linux VM is running!How's this for a mystery - last night I noticed that I could no longer access my gmail. Thought it might be down. This morning, I still couldn't access it. Thought I would try comcast, no joy either. Changed computers, no difference. Changed routers, no difference. Bought a new router and started plugging in network cables one at a time. My main machine first, everything works - http and https sites, a second computer, all good. The switch. Fine. Powerline. Still good. Then I plug in a Windows server running a Linux VM. Https sites on all the other machines stop working. Pause the Linux VM, restart router - https sites return to life. Went to Linux machine, re-enabled ipv6 (the only recent change on the Linux machine was to disable ipv6 since upon a reboot, Linux didn't have an ipv4 address). Restart Linux everything seems fine. A few hours go by, try to connect my wife's new laptop and at that moment wireless seems to stop. Restart router, wireless is back. But lo and behold, https is gone again. Unplug the machine that has the Linux VM, restart router, all is good.Ever see anything this weird?

The destination servers are using self-signed certs, as well as the router. They are not requiring client certs.
MY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail,google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a adsl modem tp link td 8840, and i had this up and running well for about 3 days. then we decided to get a router cause my little sis got a ipad2.the router is dlink dir 61.so basically i followed all the instructions and the internet was working fine.then for some reason ign site stopped working, i thought that it was down for some reason and didn't think much of it and today when i tryed to go into hotmail or facebook it doesn't work either. so i can get into the log in pages of both, but when i put in the id and password, the screen goes blank and just says waiting for .... on the bottom (using google chrome).and it never loads.i tryed with other internet browsers and it din't work so i took out the router and re wired the adsl modem only and voila. all the sites started working again.i want to use my router but i don't know why i can't acess some sites when i have it connected.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe can't find the Linksys router's manual and have no clue what is causing our WiFi not to let us access certain websites. For example, we are unable to access the Microsoft, Target, our local Library, YouTube and some other ones that we find out about once it doesn't let us get on them. We thought it was an issue with Microsoft Security Essentials because we hadn't updated it correctly, but that was not it. The reason we know it is OUR WiFi because we can access the sites I mentioned above whenever we use our apt complex WiFi, so it is not our laptop. We have the same problem with this when using our wifi on our iTouch. I hope that all made sense (had to access this site with my phone.)

However some work fine, such as reddit.However, my connection is fine on my laptop. My laptop is wireless and my desktop is wireless.I recently got my desktop back from repairs, and it has a new motherboard, with a clean instal of windows vista. I installed all the drivers ect. It says im connected to the internet, and I can access some sites. I've flushed the DNS, and called my provider. They say nothing is wrong on their end.Oh, and after ringing the repair shop, they said to install adobe and java. Java installed fine, but the adobe site wouldn't load (lol). So I copied the adobe files from my laptop over to the desktop. Youtube videos now play, but it feels slow, considering im on a 30MB download connection.

I see only the blue Facebook bar on top and that it. So if I want to page to load perfectly I need to mark the address and click enter, and then the page loads perfectly.
An I need to do this any time I am entering any link. And it's not only on this site. it's also some others sites includes Twitter.

Have two ACE 4710 in HA setup. We would like to setup HTTPS loadbalance(actually just a primary and standby configuration in the serverfarm). Initially this would be for Exchange OWA connections but may expand to more HTTPS connections later. I know there are several ways to do SSL with the ACE( client, server, end-to-end). I am just wanting to know the easiest way to deploy this? Is a certificate always needed on the ACE for each connection? In HA mode would a certificate be needed for both or does it replicate in some way to the other ACE?

About a week ago my mom (unknowingly to me) installed a registry "booster" (Uniblue Registry Booster) and as expected, it messed some stuff up. As soon as she finished scanning and it "fixed" all her registry issues, she could no longer load webpages in her browser.PC was running XP at the time of the corruption, none of her system restore points work, and unfortunately her automatic backups had stopped running about 2 months ago without me knowing. She's been planning to switch to Windows 7 soon anyway so after a few days of trying to find a solution and not having any luck I thought "well maybe if we upgrade it will unintentionally fix some files / settings during the install." Going from XP to Windows 7 was no fun task itself, but after many hours of installs I had it upgraded to Vista and then to 7.
