I have a problem on my Google Chrome explorer that if for example I am going to [URL] so every time I am clicking in a link (no matter what... some friend's profile, or friend's pictures...) I see only the blue Facebook bar on top and that it. So if I want to page to load perfectly I need to mark the address and click enter, and then the page loads perfectly.
An I need to do this any time I am entering any link. And it's not only on this site. it's also some others sites includes Twitter.
I tried to see if the problem continues in other explorer like firefox and IE, but not... it works perfectly there!
I can't connect to the internet through Google chrome or explorer, pages simply won't load.
-can't ping the pc from other pc but can ping the modem - internet shows connected and receiving data - all connections tight - internet/wireless modem working fine working fine with my other pc/laptop - all other programs on the pc seem to work fine - I have changed no settings on the pc since I last used it and the internet - I had not used the internet in approx 2 months on the problem pc - I tried turning off the firewall. - running XP
Certain sites on my desktop will not load. These sites include speedtest.net, twitter, battle.net ect. Youtube opens, but videos don't play. However some work fine, such as reddit.However, my connection is fine on my laptop. My laptop is wireless and my desktop is wireless.I recently got my desktop back from repairs, and it has a new motherboard, with a clean instal of windows vista. I installed all the drivers ect. It says im connected to the internet, and I can access some sites. I've flushed the DNS, and called my provider. They say nothing is wrong on their end.Oh, and after ringing the repair shop, they said to install adobe and java. Java installed fine, but the adobe site wouldn't load (lol). So I copied the adobe files from my laptop over to the desktop. Youtube videos now play, but it feels slow, considering im on a 30MB download connection.
I have today the issue that I am unable to load certain websites, I can enter but whenever I click on continue to navigate in that same site for example FACEBOOK, I see the operation just loads and dont go anywhere, after that remains in same condition unless I cancel or close the browser.I checked the firewall, and also the antivirus, but nothing seems wrong, I can get in into HOTMAIL, GOOGLE, but again certain sites if I search something on GOOGLE, get frozen again .
I am having trouble with my wireless connection. I am only able to visit websites but if I try to use the internet for anything else (AIM, Yahoo instant messenger, etc), it will not work. This is not a modem issue because my other computers' connections still work fine.
About a week ago my mom (unknowingly to me) installed a registry "booster" (Uniblue Registry Booster) and as expected, it messed some stuff up. As soon as she finished scanning and it "fixed" all her registry issues, she could no longer load webpages in her browser.PC was running XP at the time of the corruption, none of her system restore points work, and unfortunately her automatic backups had stopped running about 2 months ago without me knowing. She's been planning to switch to Windows 7 soon anyway so after a few days of trying to find a solution and not having any luck I thought "well maybe if we upgrade it will unintentionally fix some files / settings during the install." Going from XP to Windows 7 was no fun task itself, but after many hours of installs I had it upgraded to Vista and then to 7.
Ok starting about an hour ago I seem to be having a problem accessing youtube as well as Facebook & now Microsoft?I have done some searching around and tried a few of the suggestions I found including; trying another browser (happens using both Mozilla and IE), clearing internet cache, unplugging my modem for a minute then plugging it back in, etc, and so far none of these have worked. I did get youtube to work once since then long enough to upload a 10 sec video but once it was uploaded and I tried editing the video details I once again found myself taken to the page that says The connection was reset.
So i just brought my computer home from my dorm where it was working fine. as it is in my rom now I bought the XAVB1004 from netgear to connect it from my room t the router in the computer room. That device works great as I have tried my laptop with it and it works. I can connect to the internet as i have set u my router on my computer( the one that i took from my dorm) but only google loads, i can also search in google, and youtube loads where i can oddly watch videos no problem. I have tried reinstalling my ethernet drivers, winsock reset, checking/unchecking just about every setting in internet options and so on. No browser seems to work and I am out of ideas. I turned firewall off as well to no prevail. I have no clue where to look next as 3 days ago my computer worked fine and all I did now was move it.
This problem just started. I am unable to load certain https sites (for work). If i directly connect to ethernet, it works, so my isp isnt my problem. When i try to connect to the sites, it says "sending request" then times out. I have played around with the settings non stop and nothing has worked. I have a mac running 10.7.5.
i have a adsl modem tp link td 8840, and i had this up and running well for about 3 days. then we decided to get a router cause my little sis got a ipad2.the router is dlink dir 61.so basically i followed all the instructions and the internet was working fine.then for some reason ign site stopped working, i thought that it was down for some reason and didn't think much of it and today when i tryed to go into hotmail or facebook it doesn't work either. so i can get into the log in pages of both, but when i put in the id and password, the screen goes blank and just says waiting for .... on the bottom (using google chrome).and it never loads.i tryed with other internet browsers and it din't work so i took out the router and re wired the adsl modem only and voila. all the sites started working again.i want to use my router but i don't know why i can't acess some sites when i have it connected.
MY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail,google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.
I cannot connect to the internet using firefox or chrome but there's no problem with internet explorer. This happened after I installed and uninstalled speedbit video accelerator. When opened chrome, it gave me the following error.
(net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown error.
After the problem occurred, I rebooted the system, uninstalled firefox and chrome, freshly downloaded firefox (from IE) and the problem persists. I couldn't download chrome because chrome installer says it can't connect to the internet. Following are the details regarding my system and software.

I tried stopping the firewall and the problem persists. Can't access router via firefox too!! Firefox doesn't give an error it just gives a blank page (about:home).
If this is a dns problem, how come it doesn't affect IE ?? Why can't utorrent listen on listen port ??
I am using Chrome as my primary broswer, but recently I can't get access to a particular website, but while I use other browsers to access that site, it is perfectly fast and without any problems at all. I don't know if i have accidentally pressed any key or accepted any setting that has made google chrome to block access to that site.
Am experiencing the same problem where IE can connect to internet, but not Chrome, although the only change to my desktop PC (WinXP SP3) was a windows update. This issue seems to be quite common among all Windows OS because when I queried "can't connect chrome to internet" I've found over 50 posts at various forum describing your issue (and mine). I have also eliminated firewall, antivirus, etc and obviously since IE can get on the internet..my network connection is fine...as is/was yours. Looking more closely I'm thinking that somehow the specific port on outbound is not being accessed by Chrome/Firefox because I used a sniffer and see no request leave my pc and verified no request through my router either.
The winsock catalog in a namespace server configuration listing right? How would you explain that resetting the winspace catalogue fixes the issue?Wand3r3r said it was malware, but I'm quite sure we don't have that issue...I know my machine doesn't and this has occured on the library PCs also. I wan't to find sure fix and understand what is happening on the Windows stack, so that I can assuredly deploy Chrome on a student network and not see this re-occuring all over the place.
I am no longer seeing the "download this video" message while in Chrome 13 trying to download to Realplayer. I have updated Realplayer, Chrome was updated for me and several automatic updates have updated Windows 7. I read on the Real website that Realplayer does not work with Google Chrome 13. I tried downloading while in internet explorer but still had trouble.

StartSSL offers free SSL certificates, so I'm guessing that means no Warning messages from browsers IE,Chrome,firefox atleast? Has anybody used this StartSSL certificate lvl1 is free..I'd tryed this myself but my hosting company is charging twice more for having ssl(just having it not even buying) than for hosting my website.
Recently i have to change my modem (lightning struck) which of course, done by my ISP worker.The problem is, since then, I've been getting the "DNS lookup failed" error message constantly while using Google Chrome. Or sometimes the "This web page is not available - The connection to [URL] was interrupted".I have to refresh the search once or twice to get to the site, which is very annoying. I tried surfing on my friend's laptop, using the same wireless connection and it seemed to work fine. This problem only occurred on MY laptop.One more thing is, the connection doesn't seem to go wrong because i could play online game with no trouble like lagging or disconnection whatsoever. Is is possible to run Transmission or Google Chrome only using OpenVPN? Other applications should use default connection (eth0) since I am connected to Intranet which won't be accessible if all traffic is routed through VPN. I am using Ubuntu 12.10 and some Premium VPN server (similar to HMS VPN)
I have just gone through hours of tech support with my ISP and still cannot seem to get online. Problem is the same as recent posts by jerguy1928, with message "DNS lookup failed...." coming up in Google Chrome. Both IE and FF just say cannot connect.Running Windows 7 on laptop. I have tried alt DNS settings (Google and others), all the CMD suggestions, disabling firewalls etc, etc! Other computer in house connects just fine.Ping works fine. Really, there appears to be no reason to not be able to connect - since I am actually connected!
When I plugin with an ethernet cable to the router, I have no problems and I get the full 15mbps speed when doing speed tests and downloads. IE, Firefox, and Chrome all work fine.When I use the wireless, I only get 5mbps in IE and Firefox, but I get the full 15mbps again when using Chrome.I'm starting to wonder if there are shared Windows components being used by Firefox and IE, but not being used by Chrome. Since last night, my laptop has just been acting up and being very sluggish. In normal mode, I can connect to the internet fine, but nothing will load. The only way I can get it to work on normal mode is if I clear all of my private data before restarting my laptop, and even then it will only work for a few minutes then stop. Also, when I go to open chrome, it'll usually takes a few seconds before opening, and may even completely freeze up. The only time where I can actually get it to work reliably is when I open up safe mode with networking. I'm afraid it might be a virus or something but I've run scans and everything and nothing has come up.
I am trying to download large files which are taking about 3-8 hours to download. I don't have that much time, so I have to put my computer into sleep mode. Now, the problem is, I put it into sleep mode, turn it back on, Chrome says the downloads are finished. I open one of them, and it says the file is corrupt.
I have a Cisco 1800 ISR router running IOS 12.4(22)T5.Clientless SSL VN is configured and working, and has three bookmarks.When logged into Clientless SSL VPN and displaying the portal page in IE-8, the bookmarks are visible and functioning as expected.When logged into Cleintless SSL VPN and displaying the portal page in FireFox-14 or Chrome-21, the bookmarks are not visible.The window for the bookmarks is displayed, but the content (file tree) is not.
everything was ok with my connexions, but, after a crash, when I run IE ou Chrome, I get the login screen of the 2 cameras, and I can enter my login en my password but after validation, nothing happens...This problem is only on my PC windows 7, and I can connect with all others stations LAN or WAN.All I remenber is that I have to delete a file in the system folder of my PC but what file ?
i share internet with my neighbor (we split the bill) and every so often like in the last 2 days, and usually not again for another 3 weeks for 2-3 more more days each time, am not able to browse(ff, chrome, ie) or use windows live messenger, but yet if i turn on bittorrent, the downloads are fine, the trackers don't update, but DHT and peer exchange update fine.And also, i can get on Gameranger (which uses UDP port 16000) and play games, and this happens to all 5 computers on the network, (4 wireless at my house[3 XPs 1 Win7] and one wired at her house[Win 7]), so it's not something on the computer, also, usually when i check my router the subnet is usually 255.255.255.0 but this morning before i came to work i noticed it was 255.0.0.0 , not sure if that matters, this has been happening for months, usually between every 3-4 weeks, we have no browser and msn use for 2-3 days?
