I am trying to download large files which are taking about 3-8 hours to download. I don't have that much time, so I have to put my computer into sleep mode. Now, the problem is, I put it into sleep mode, turn it back on, Chrome says the downloads are finished. I open one of them, and it says the file is corrupt.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a fresh installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit,and whenever I try to download ANYTHING from any website,the download always stops at about 2Mb, as if IE just wont allow anything over 2mb to be downloaded.Nothing wrong with my connection (just a bit slow, compared to the rest of the world), and I have no anti-virus running or other protection software.

But then.. when i wake up suddenly it tells "No Connections Are Available" and i cant find any wifi's anymore + lan does not even work, but the adapters are both working fine it says + they are up to date, the router is fine cuz i have lan on pc and wifi on samsung galaxy, everything about wifi is on incl the button on the laptop..I only have 1 antivirus or so program and i have a red cross @ network and sharing settings?Network adapters (They both work): Atheros AR9285 wireless adapter & Realtek PCIe GBE family controller (both newest drivers installed)

My laptops are fine and can connect to the internet w/ the wireless however.When I have windows diagnostic run a troubleshoot and repair, it tells me it can't communicate w/ the primary DNS server and that resetting the Local Area Connection will fix it (And it does).If I restart the computer, it seems to fix this problem as well.I don't get why it can't communicate w/ the DNS and that I have to manually reset the LAC everytime I turn on the computer from sleep mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to have ATT DSL but we recently switched to U-Verse. I have a Trendnet TEW-452BRP 54g wireless router than was handling the PPPoE function. It was set to work flawlessly with my wireless cards. No dropped connections, speed or security issues. It always connected quickly from wake up and on start up. Now we have a 2Wire i38HG wireless router/gateway and it's been difficult to properly set my network up as before. I use the Trendnet behind the 2Wire as my wireless router. Took me a while to figure out what to do, but DHCP is disabled on Trendnet so 2Wire does what it needs to. This option works fine for me. The only problem is that at first my wireless card would not automatically connect to the network through the Trendnet when it is in range like I had it set to do previously. When I would force it to, after 3 times it would magically connect on it's own. I made some changes in the Trendnet (Mainly disabling dynamic DNS and NAT) and that seems to have made a difference. To be honest, I don't know if that is significant or not or if it actually made a longterm difference but it seems like it has. So my problem is now that when I put my laptop to sleep and have it wake up, it does not automatically reconnect. It takes about 2 minutes then it does on its own. I read the event viewer and this is the info it gave me - Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x0018DE0682D8. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am completely baffled by what is going on, on our network. We have four HP C4005 Printers. All of them connected to different switches around the network. About every 1-3 hours they all give the error 49FF09 (which is pretty vague, basically a network connectivity issue). Have to reboot to get rid of the error, then it will work again for an hour or so and give the same error (whether print jobs have been sent or not). This started a few days ago out of no where.
I am starting to think its an issue with the network, because they will all go offline at the same time. If I run a constant ping to them, they will all go offline at the same time and return the error. We use all cisco equipment. If I check the port statuses they all say up 100 full with no errors.
I have tried disabling sleep mode on the printers, turned off multicasting, updated firmware for printer and for jetdirect, and used different drivers.
Since last night, my laptop has just been acting up and being very sluggish. In normal mode, I can connect to the internet fine, but nothing will load. The only way I can get it to work on normal mode is if I clear all of my private data before restarting my laptop, and even then it will only work for a few minutes then stop. Also, when I go to open chrome, it'll usually takes a few seconds before opening, and may even completely freeze up. The only time where I can actually get it to work reliably is when I open up safe mode with networking. I'm afraid it might be a virus or something but I've run scans and everything and nothing has come up.

I have a new Linksys E3000, 2 wired disktops (1 windows 7, 1 windows vista), 2 wireless laptops (both windows Vista), whenever the computers power down into sleep mode and are woke up, I have lost my connections to the router and I am forced to restart the computer. I've been told by one person that this is a problem with vista and windows 7, but wouldn't that have been a problem with my old router also?

When ever I open the lid to the laptop it takes 5-10 mins before it will automatically connect to a network. Diagnose this network does not find anything, nor provides any troubleshooting. Typically if I open the network connections center and disable the wireless, let it sit for 30 secs or so, and re-enable, it will finally connect.
I know it's not my router, as the laptop does the same thing at work, and multiple different friends house.
I've confirmed that DHCP is set to automatic connect. I've also checked Device Manager/Network adapters/ and unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
my computer losses its internet connection when it goes to sleep and I have to reboot my computer. Could my network card be faulty.

When those two devices have been inactive for a while the bridge goes into sleep mode and loses the connection Back to my EA6500. I have my laptop setup to sleep when lid is closed. When it awakens the wireless connection will not automatically reconnect and I have to manually select the SSID and connect. It will also reconnect if I use the network troubleshooter. The problem does not happen if I reboot the PC or start from a power off situation. I have the latest Dell driver and I am running the DWLAN utility.

When I am at my mother's place or at school, I have no problem connecting to the internet wirelessly. However, at my father's place, my internet stops working every couple hours and will be unable to connect to the network until i reset the router and modem. Once the reset is complete, I am good for another couple hours. All the other devices ( laptops, iphones, etc.) do not have this problem and the connection is never an issue. I have read that this could possibly be a problem regarding IP addresses but I do not quite understand how to fix this.

It happens from time to time that the Cat 4510 port stops passing traffic. Reconnecting the mini switch recovers the communication. Client PCs connected to the mini switch seem to be authorized at the moment when the problem occures. The RADIUS Termination-Action attribute is set to RADIUS-Request. The problem is not present if "authentication periodic" is disabled.
My computer came with Mcaffe pre installed on the laptop however did not stop me getting the police e crime unit virus about three weeks ago. To fix this I booted in safe mode and did a system restore to around 3 months before I got the virus. I then installed avast antivirus and did a scan and boot scan which came back with nothing which suggested to me it had gone. This then meant I had both mcaffe and and avast running at the same time. Then until 3 weeks later the internet suddenly stopped working whilst I was on the internet. My laptop sees my router and says it is connected to it but says the router is not connected to the internet. This is false as every other device in the house can connect. However I then tried my computer in safe mode with networking and it can connect to the internet.

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust finished building my new computer yesterday - i installed windows 7 and all the motherboard drivers etc - everything went smoothly. I then plugged in my ethernet cable but saw that in normal mode my computer had very slow internet. I went into safe mode with networking and tried the internet there and it was its normal speed. Obviously something is booting up in normal mode that is stopping/limiting the connection. I uninstalled norton (came with the motherboard drivers) using the uninstall norton tool, i also uninstalled any other virus protection and disabled my computers firewall but to no avail - it's still real slow.

I even called my internet provider and they couldn't figure it out. His internet worked perfectly fine when it was on safe mode with networking. I even disabled his firewalls and I ran malewarebytes but found nothing. I have noticed that when I plug the Ethernet cable from the router to the computer the led on the back of the computer panel does not blink as it does when I route directly from he cable modem.
I have a problem on my Google Chrome explorer that if for example I am going to [URL] so every time I am clicking in a link (no matter what... some friend's profile, or friend's pictures...) I see only the blue Facebook bar on top and that it. So if I want to page to load perfectly I need to mark the address and click enter, and then the page loads perfectly.
An I need to do this any time I am entering any link. And it's not only on this site. it's also some others sites includes Twitter.
I tried to see if the problem continues in other explorer like firefox and IE, but not... it works perfectly there!
