I am not able to access https sites (like banking etc.). Â Once I plug my old router back I have no such problem. Â I guess it must be router settings that I cannot figure out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched to the EA4500 Router and I'm now unable to remotely access my camera devices.  I have done the port forward.  I can access the cameras from my local LAN both when using the local 10. ..and external 99 .. Addresses.  When I go off the local connection -  Access does not work. Slingbox did its auto configuration and I can access it.  I just cant get to camera devices (Panosonic, Foscam, etc.). Â

But, no matter how many times I try, I cannot enter its IP address in the address bar and see its settings. I change its IP to192 168 1 200. Subset 255... DG 192 168 1 1 DNS same.Under router address 192 168 0 1I CANNOT access this router at 192 168 0 1 at all. The thing is, the **bleep** settings are not any different the. How they were when it was WORKING. I literally took a screenshot of my setting in case a scenario like this would come up, yet it more problems arise. The only way I can access the router is by doing a factory reset and accessing it at 192 168 1 1.

The issue is mainly on Wordpress blog pages and I have to keep writing https if I want to access other blogger's page.For the time being I am using Chrome's extension "Https Enforcer" which slows down my browsing speed but eventually the sites open. I have to disable it if I have to use google images. I use windows 7, Chrome browser, Pocket Modem.

This computer (HP dv6000 running Win Vista home prem) however will not connect to the internet. It states that it is connected to the router (computer sees router), using the cloud connect app on my iphone i can see this computer, but will not allow access to the internet (local connection only). It works fine with the wired connection. When attempting to use the cloud connect software, it says it was unable to complete the install. Have attempted trying while connected by wire as well, same result. Have deleted the wireless connection and allowed software to find connection, still same result, cannot install. Wireless worked perfectly with previous router (WRT54G) three days ago.

View 9 Replies View RelatedVery strange problem with an EA4500 running 2.0.37.131047. Set it up in no time with a Mixed network on WPA2 Personal, Internet's fine, but I can't see any of my wired clients. They don't ping at all. Even stranger, if I plug into another wired switch port with my laptop, I STILL can't ping the other clients. One is a NAS and one is a network printer so there are no firewalls involved. I power cycled the printer but in vain. I've already reset to factory defaults once, but that didn't work. I'm thinking I'll need to return it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a EA4500 that I get error 2315 when I try to Delete,change name,or icon. I did a 30/30/30 and everything worked great,24 hours later I was back to error 2315. I tried re-flashing the firmware, but that didn't work. I get the same problems when I try using the Smart Wifi app. There are also times when I can not access the router using Smart Wifi unless I reboot the router when I get home.Â

At first it seemed OK, but then I noted that I cannot open (or takes forever) many websites, in particular those requiring Adobe Flash Player to view. In addition, it appears that access IPv6 Internet or sites is impossible, even though IPv6 is enabled in the GUI. Is there anything I am missing in the configuration/set up of the router?

ISP uses PPPoE, Im sure that the username and password are correct. upgraded to the latest firmware manually, and holy hell accessing the router with no internet access.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy EA4500 has the newest firmware and is properly configured to support 20+ wireless and wired devices. It does this job well.Guest Access, however, is a problem. It works for about a day, then stops.Guests can access the login screen and enter the password. Then nothing happens. The screen appears to "load", but it does not connect.I have tried returning to default settings and reconfiguring and reupdating firmware. I have tried turning Guest Access on and off, as well as resetting the password.The only that works is rebooting the router. This is obviously not practical, especially for a contract client.

I thought that the problem could be with Comcast, but I tested my Mac with a cable directly connected into the cable modem and it worked fine. I was able to access every site.

It seems something strange with the router. I tested some forum solutions (MUT, QoS) but they didn't work.
I upgraded from a E2000 to a EA4500 today and I am experiencing slow wired WAN speeds. On my E2000 I get approximately 60Mbps down and approximately 2Mbps up, and when switching over to the EA4500, I can only manage about 20Mbps down and about 2Mbps up. I can switch back and forth between routers and replicate the results every time
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 500 GB HD connected to the router to the usb port and It bothers me that whenever electricity fails in our city and it comes back I can still navigate and access my files on the LAN from the hard drive, but I lose the connection to the router management either by my smart phone application or by accesing trought my laptop. The only way I have figured out to solve this is connecting the drive directly to my laptop and erasing the configuration files created by the router when you set the shared folders, etc. then plugging again and setting all shared folders etc.

Is the USB storage set up.One thing (very important) Linksys has failed to explain how to gain access to the USB storage once connected to the router. Once the USB storage drive it set up.
