firmware v.2.21 working well with laptop for 5 years. unable to connect b/b rim playbook last week. tried a couple of sessions with dlink tech support. turned off all other 2.4 ghz devices. would firmware upgrade 3.13 fix this issue?

My friend was able to access my internet connection via my guest account WITHOUT having to enter the guest password. He was able to connect using a samsung galaxy phone with the android OS. However, when I connected to my guest account using my blackberry, I WAS asked for the guest account password.

I have an Internet Connectivity problem which I believe was caused by resetting our D-Link WBR-2310 router. We have a strange, perhaps illogical network setup in our office. Although it was set up before my time, I have figured it works as follows:
(1) A wired/wireless router (let's call it Router A) is connected directly to the DSL modem.
(2) An Ethernet cord runs from this router to a 5 port switch.
(3) 4 cords run from the switch to individual workstations. These computers obtain their IP addresses automatically.
(4) 1 cord runs from the switch to another wired/wireless router (let's call it Router B).
(5) Two cords run from Router B to individual workstations (let's call them Workstations C). These computers used permanent IP, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server addresses. I understand that this was done because they could not obtain their IP addresses automatically.
The problem I've caused seems to stem from me resetting Router B to the factory settings while trying to secure its signal and changing its IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 (in order to avoid conflict with the modem which has the same IP address). Once I did that, Workstations C could not access the Internet.
I have tinkered with the TCP/IP settings for Workstations C (e.g. by changing the default gateways to the Router B's new IP address), but it doesn't work. What else should I be doing?
I just bought a D-Link DIR-600.After I went through the setup wizard, I was able to get an internet connection, but it was useless (google search very slow, but connected). This was fixed when I disabled NAT, but that meant no other computer was able to access the internet through the router. This has all been wired. I still haven't setup the wi-fi.

Internet connection is ADSL2+ through a NetGear DM111P. The modem is setup as PPPoE Bridging.
I've been happily using my DIR-655 for over 6 months now without any problems. Last night, wireless internet was working great but today it has stopped working. I plugged my modem directly into my computer and the internet worked fine, so it does not appear to be the modem. I also tried hard connecting my computer to the router (modem connected to router) but that didn't work. One sign of trouble is that the "globe" LED on the front of the router is slowly blinking orange (it had been blinking blue since I got it). I CAN access my WAN and I CAN access the router wireless but I CANNOT access the internet wireless.Here is what I tried, all without any success:
-Rebooting the router
-Turned off wireless encryption
-Checked firmware (current)
-Ensured my PPPoE IP address was correct
-Reset router to factory settings and recreated my WAN
in my company we have 40 cisco aironet 1100 without controller, the signal is good with laptops but is too weak with the iphone's ipads and blackberry.

It is fine if both UPnP server and renderor are on either network. There is no problem on other protocol, such as SAMBA from my notebook connected via Wireless to the QNAP NAS connected via Wired to the 655.

Several times a day at random my devices (laptop, android phones, PS3) will lose internet connectivity from my wireless network. They say they are still connected to the network but I am unable to access the internet or even the router config page. Everything works fine on Wired LAN computers. The only way I can fix it is by unplugging the router for a few seconds. I have had the router for over a year now without this problem. Seems like it may have started when we got our android phones.

Wireless enabled, fixed IP address.Unplug cable and camera still works fine for a while: can access the view page and view picture that does change. F5 refreshes page no problems. After a while (about 5 minutes) web page no longer reachable by browser. Reconnect cable and works fine, unplug and repeat the cycle same thing happens.Also tried: unplug ethernet cable, unplug power cable, wait 10 seconds, connect power cable, try to browse to camera - cannot reach camera.

I have owned the TL-MR3420 for about six months and never had any problems with it, 3G connection stable enough and wifi and LAN worked properly without any drops.About one week ago I started experiencing problems. Both wifi and LAN gets disabled and I need to pull the plug and do a hard reset to correct the issue. This only happens after some heavy use, many devices is connected to Wifi, streaming files over the WIfi and so on. A scenario may be the following; there are six devices back home using all using wifi. All of them are not connected at the same time, but four may be; usually three computers and one tablet. The HTPC may do some heavy videostreaming from another computer. When the streaming is over, some devices are shut down then I may lose the WIFI and LAN ability of the router.
I have tried connecting with cable after wifi were lost but no IP address where given to it and connection where refused. This means I have no possibility to access the log file in the router, and after reboot the log file is reset. Router settings is pretty much default.Is my device broken or is there any setting I may tweak with?I have updated to latest firmware and tried to change channel without success.

I know there are a lot of threads out there regarding connection issues, both with wireless & LAN connections, after updating firmware to 1.35. To provide a snapshot of my setup...I have 3 GB switches throughout my home, a couple Ethernet enabled Blu-Ray players, 2 XBOX 360's, multiple satellite receivers with Ethernet, 5 PC's, 3 iphones, etc...you get the picture. I also have 5 older DLink wi-fi cameras. So, with this said my setup has been flawless for some time. However, a week or so ago I upgraded my firmware on my DIR-655 to the latest version...everything still seemed fine at the time. Yesterday I noticed we had no wireless internet so I went and checked. Sure enough...no connectivity on my desktop that's directly linked to the router, etc.
I tried rebooting & then resetting the router...got connectivity, but as soon as I plugged my PC into the switch...no IP address. I played around with settings, wiring configurations, etc...I'm pretty up to speed on this setup so I felt I exhausted every option. I thought my router went bad...gave me an excuse to go get the latest so I brought home a NetGear N750...hooked it up. As soon as I changed the LAN IP address range to condense the #of IP addresses I'm giving out again, the LAN connection to the PC was lost...I could not get it restored. I finally got it working, bypassing the GB switch, but the wireless would lose connection literally after a few seconds.
I ended up taking the NetGear router back and bought the exact same DIR-655, but this time it was HW version B1 instead of A and it was firmware #2.00 or something like that. I hooked it up when I got home...configured the system to exactly the way I had it before and PRESTO!!! My system is working like it was before. I can only think that the firmware upgrade I made on the previous router screwed something up in my system.

I have recently purchased a new desktop computer that does not have an internal WiFi card. To remedy this I bought the TP Link TL-WR702N. Currently my access to the internet is provided by a mobile WiFi router (one of these: { URL}, that spreads a wireless signal throughout my house for things like my phone and laptop to connect to. I was under the impression that the WR702N would be able to connect to this network and let my new computer run on it (I believe it's called client mode?)
Now so far I have not been able to get my computer to recognize the existence of the TP Link modem, despite both Ethernet and USB cables being plugged into the computer. I think I need both logging in and changing the mode from AP to client mode.
I emailed support and was given the instruction to read this FAQ [URL], however, when following those instructions, after clicking on "Change adapter settings" instead of reading the router, all I get is a blank screen.
Ive had this 655 for about a year now and it has been rock solid. But, there has been one slight issue.
And and all wireless devices can see each other and all wired devices can see each other....but the wired cant see the wireless and vis versa.
The wireless devices (W7 and Vista laptops) can see the wired devices when they are plugged in. But my phone and Galaxy Tab can only see whatever wireless devices there are (cant be plugged in). Even my wired Samsung TV cant see the shares on the Tab or wireless laptops (and vis versa). So, its certainly not a firewall or OS config issue.
Now, I made sure they are all connecting via the main SSID and not the "isolated" Guest SSID....but its acting like the main SSID is isolated from the wired LAN somehow.
Firmware 1.34. IPs for the wired and wireless devices are all in the 1.2 - 1.50 range.
