I have a public IP and I want to be able to view my three systems connected to a linksys router from the internet. How can configure the router to see three systems with just one Public IP address whenever I am on the internet?

I have the leased line going through a 3750 switch to the ASA 5510(15.240.1.2/30) belonging to vlan 999. ASA has default route going to 15.240.1.1/30(ISP).
I have different public ip range for LAN and WAN My WAN ip is 15.240.1.0/30, LAN ip range is 15.240.2.24/27 nated by ASA..
I want to connect the PC to the switch port belonging vlan 999 and ip address of 15.240.2.26/27.
If yes, what will be the gateway for the computer?
There are 6 computers in our home network. It happens every few months or so that router would not assign valid IP address to one of the computers. So, most of the time everything works well, but there comes a moment when one of the computers (but not others) can't get valid IP address.We try turning off and then on the router and it solves the problem most of the time. But, there are cases when turning off and on the router won't solve the problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just thought if it's possible to make sure that only approved IP addresses for each of divisions of a company can be used.How can I assign for a port one/more public addresses and be sure that only this port is using it/them. Thing is I have only one 24 bit public Network ID provided to me by ISP. One IP address of the range is used for ISP's gateway. So I have 253 addresses to be distributed among divisions. However to avoid IP address conflicts I have to be sure that only dedicated for a division IP address/es is/are used by the division.
Router is 2821.
Switch is 2950.
I'm currently replacing my ASA 5505 with a 5510. I have a range of public IP addresses, one has been assigned to the outside interface by the setup wizard (e.g. 123.123.123.124 ) and another I would like to NAT to an internal server (e.g 192.168.0.3 > 123.123.123.125). On my asa 5505 this seemed fairly straigh forward, i.e. create an incoming access rule that allowed SMTP to 123.123.123.125 and then create a static nat to translate 192.168.0.3 to 123.123.123.125. Since I've tried to do the same on the 5510 traffic is not passing through so I'm assuming that the use of additional public IP addresses is not handled in the same way as the 5505? I also see that by default on the 5505, 2 VLANs are created, one for the inside and one for the outside, where as this is not the case on the 5510. Is the problem that VLANs or sub-interfaces need to be created first? I'm doing the config via ASDM.
Everything else seems to OK i.e. access to ASDM via 123.123.123.124, outbound PAT and the site-to-site VPN.
I recently switched cable companies and was given a Linksys E1200 wireless router to connect to the internet. The router works fine with all of my laptops but not with my desktop. The desktop has a WMP11 wireless PCI card. I have had trouble using this card in the past but have always managed to solve connectivity issues. This time, I am unable to connect to the internet. Although I can detect the network signal, the network will not assign my computer an IP address. However is there any way to add a DNS server address to this reserved IP so that only the Google Box is affected by the DNS, all the other connected devices remain unaffected? Presently i enter the required DNS address in the google box but i would prefer to do it on the EA4500. I'm using the latest Cisco Cloud fw on my router.

But finally I figured out that my router will not assign the proper DNS server addresses when assigning through DHCP. I upgraded from 2.10.02 and still the same issue.

I got two public IP addresses from my ISP: 92.x.x.252 - 92.x.x.254. 92.x.x.254 is configured as secondary on external interface and clients will use it two connect (vpn) it from outside through cisco 1841 to zywall p1 with wan ip address 92.x.x.253. Is this configuration (look at picture) allowed? How can I route traffic from 92.x.x.254 to zywall p1, if posible?

My router IP address is 91.85.232.65 with .66 and .67 will be the two servers. What is the subnet for these ips? Is it 255.255.255.248?
I have assigned my server the public address but if I try to ping it I am getting no response as if the ip is only a local address. My server is windows server 2008, is there a setting to turn ping on/off that I might have missed? I know the server is pingable internally.

I have check my logs and my IP Address is the same going back to a 03/25/2012. I changed my router back to my old E4200V1 and it changes to a new addresses when the old one expires.

I have two network cables attached to a managed switch, the location of the two cables are very important. Two computers attached to the said cables.I would like to communicate with one of the computers on PORT 1 and PORT 2, regardless of what computer is plugged into them. They get there IP's via DHCP, and a static IP wont work - as the computer plugged into PORT 1 or 2 may be different.So. View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an HP 510 laptop running windows xp. Wherever i go, i am able to connect through wifi with a password except for where i live. I have had no problems connecting anywhere else. All other laptops and pc's connect through the network i cant access. I get a 'limited or no connectivity' message with details displaying either 'network did not assign a network address to the computer', 'cannot connect to the internet' or 'cannot renew ip address. I reviewed a few older posts and have tried ipconfig/release, ipconfig/renew, ipconfig/all to no avail. i also tried netsh ip reset reset.log and netsh windows catalog(or something along those lines) from the earlier post i read, still nothing. I do notice that when i go to properties the wep password always reverts to one i did not enter, and once in a great while when i re-enter it the icon will show 'connected to network, excellent signal strength' but Internet Explorer says not able to connect. I cant seem to figure out why i connect fine everywhere else, and why every other 'guest' computer connects to this network.
i connect using Intel(R) PRO/wireless 2200BG under properties>general under properties>wireless networks>association use windows to config is checked under properties>network>properties the network authentication is 'open' and data encryption is set to 'wep' while the network key reverts to something i did not enter. key provided is not checked under properties>wireless networks>authentication 'enable ieee 802.1x authentication for this network is not checked
I've been using the Dir-655 for 2 or 3 years with my old Xbox 360 and an external G wireless adapter. Everything was working perfectly until I got the dreaded Red Rings Of Death the other day. I replaced the Xbox with a new Slim version with built in N capable network adapter.
After more than 10 hours of trying a variety of "fixes" I found from MS and in this forum, I am still at square 1.

I tried assigning an IP manually from the Xbox. But, no matter what I do, the router will not accept it. It is especially frustrating that the Xbox is visible to the unit. It simply will not assign an IP to it under any circumstance.
If you read the sales hype promoting the Dir-655, you will see a lot of nonsense about it being great for gaming. Given that, you'd think a simple solution would have been found and posted for this issue by now. Surely, end users shouldn't be trying 100 different possible "fixes", none of which work, at this late stage of the firmware upgrades. If I sound a tad fed up, it's because I am. After the expense of the new Xbox, it appears I now have to junk my router too.

My ISP given /28 pool of public IP's. So i had total 14 available IP addresses.
I configured one IP to the my firewall outside interface. I want assign remaining IP's to the my Servers, which are located inside to the firewall.
