However, one issue I have is I wish to extend the length of time between password changes for users connected in on the guest wlan. At the moment, 30 is max. I dont have an option on the controller to creat accounts for any longer than that. How to I extend it to 90 days or 120 days?

Jul 16, 2012I'm having trouble with my internet the past few days, I'm connected to the internet via wifi and after browsing some minutes it will tell me unable to connect (using firefox and other explorers). In order to continue browsing I must refresh the page several times and it will load without pictures.I'm using win7 home premium and it's the only computer that presents this issue. I've tried pluging the computer directly to the router, but it gives me the same results. Also, I've scanned the computer for malware with MCafee, but it shows nothing.

My IP lapse time is set for 1 hour and every hour I am losing full connection due to having to sign back into Entrust. I need to be able to lenghten my lapse time on my work computer. My other two personal computers are fine with 1 hour as there is no Entrust on either of those laptops.....is it possible for me to change the lapse time to say 12 hours, 1 weeks, whatever??

Feb 21, 2011I am using a desktop computer and have the router downstairs so I am using a wireless usb to connect to the internet. My router is a Linksys E1000 and the wireless adapter is a Netgear WG111v2. The problem is Every few mins I drop connection for may 5-30 secs and then the internet is fine. During that time it does not say I only have local connection or anything like that it constantly says I have internet connection even when I dont. It is very noticable when i am playing an online game on my computer. I will get a few mins in and then it will drop kicking me out of the game and by the time I get kicked out my Internet is reconnected and I can join again.

I am now using the latest 5.0 Firefox and Windows 7 and using or not using the download them all add-ons does not add much to the download time.

Connection Drops For Five Minutes At A Time When Doing Certain Things
Jan 26, 2011For some reason, certain activities, such as using Bittorrent and visiting specific sites, causes my connection to drop immediately. It stays down for five minutes, after which the connection is reestablished... but if the offending progam is still running or I try to refresh the site, it drops for another five minutes.I really need to know what is causing this, and how it can be avoided. It only started this last weekend (22/1, 2011), and my ISP says they have no problems on their end. I'm running Windows 7.

All the traffic coming from the hosts connected to the CLIENT-router is sent over the VPN (no split tunnel). Everything works perfectly. The only problem is the amount of time the VPN takes to establish the first connection between the two routers. In particular it takes about two minutes. tell me if this amount of time can be reduced (with a partcular configuration instruction)? Nov 15, 2011I bought a e4200 router about 3 weeks ago and after a power outage it decided it didnt like being connected to the internet anymore. So i got on the phone with cisco they determined the router was no good, mind you my laptop would connect wired. So they sent me a "refurbished" one, so i set it up. The new setup was wonky because it said the same message "Your connected to your router but..." then after trying to get the connection its self and failing it came up with "congratulations you are now connected to the internet". That lasted 3hrs and 45mins then died, so i went upstairs to power cycle it, it decided to connect with the old settings. That lased 25mins then died, so i reset it and reconfigured the router. Wouldnt connect, i checked my mac address and it was using my wireless one and kept turning on my wireless connection durring the install. So i cloned my wired mac address and got the internet for roughly an hour... then it died. So i reset it again and kept the wifi off got it going and decided to go to sleep. I wake up and its still working after 8hrs, i go down stairs with my tablet and i dies again. This time it refuses to reconnect, refuses to reset back up just doesnt want to work.

1. There is no connection - the page tries to load but never does. While this happens the router drops the ADSL connection and re-connects. I have to close the browser session and try again later. OR
2. The Browser session connects but at some point after the connection, say when I am trying to save changes or even just browsing through the config pages the session hangs, and again the router drops the ADSL connection and re-connects. I have to close the session and try again later.
I have noticed this happens when I use my OpenSuse 11.4 Linux Box using Firefox 5 or even using my Win 7 Box using IE9.

Jul 20, 2011Lately I've been experiencing connection problems between my router and cable modem. Every night after 11:00 PM EST, my Internet connection sporadically goes out. I called my ISP who said there was nothing wrong on their end. Plugging directly into my modem allows me to access the Internet. When I wake up in the morning, the connection is back until 11 or later again. I ran WireShark but I'm not sure what to be looking for. There are a lot of random things from the LLMNR protocol like standard query A zmtvrjaql.

Aug 27, 2011So I just got hooked up to the internet via qwest the other day with my room mate. We have a wireless modem (PK5000) and he's using the AE2500 usb adapter to get online. Now, he can get online, but if he ever turns off or sleeps his computer, he can't connect when he turns it back on. His computer can see the network, full signal, but when he tries to connect it says cannot connect and under troubleshoot options suggests we should move his computer closer to the modem, but its only about 20 feet away and shows full signal. To get it to work, we need to go into the modem config and reset the wireless options. No changes are made, just scroll to the bottom and click apply, and presto change he can connect with no problems.He's running windows 7 home edition 64 bit. The modem's security is WPA/WPA2.
