Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : orange.at
When I first installed the router I used the built-in provider settings for "ONE" which used to be the name of the provider before it was taken over by orange.at. It seemed to work fine but I experienced some funny server errors with certain web services. I contacted orange.at about this and they told me to adjust the provider settings in the router as follows:
Dial number: *99#
APN: fullspeed
The reason for the problems was that they use different proxy servers for their services and applications. Now it works fine (so far).

It should be: 10.155.41.41There is an option only for VPN server setup(10.255.255.254), but where it takes a local address that my provder has gave me? - it is not clear. At the same time in the status of the router receives a DNS correctly and the second address embarass me little bet DNS should be:
1) 80.252.130.253
2) 80 252.130.254
first dns is correct, and second one looks like: 80.252.45.86Maybe he does not take a local setting of ip adress via DHCP?
I have a Time Warner modem/router. There are a ton of different devices constantly being connected/disconnected to our router - itouches, computers, smartphones etc.
The problem started with my otherwise super reliable HP g42 (i3) laptop. Nothing would solve the issue other than recovering it back a few days to when the issue wasn't happening. But then it would happen again after a few days. All other devices would connect without issue.
Time warner's technical troubleshooting consists of "unplug the router for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Did that work?"
So now, my son gets his first computer and I bring it home last night. Also an HP (pavillion -i3). Same deal. At first, it connects fine and dandy. Then after about 2 hours it get the ol' "won't connect - diagnose the problem?" After diagnose, it says "DNS server may not be available.
Here's the thing: Both computers connect immediately and without issue to my smartphone wireless tether.
My internet service is telling me all of a sudden that my computer has no IP address for my laptop to connect to the modem?? The laptop was given to me so I have none of the disks or anything. How do I get an IP address to be able to use my internet provider?

When they shut down last night they had no problems and were running Time Warner (Roadrunner). When they booted the computer this morning the computer is trying to connect to Adelphia.
They changed nothing. The wiring to the computer was not compromised in any way.
Time Warner tried to "ping" their modem and could not "see" the modem. They think it is a line problem - but the fact that the computer is looking to connect to an alternate service provider makes me think that it is possibly a problem with a setting in the computer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have currently a Cisco 3600 router, it has three interfaces (all ethernet interfaces only). We being a client, our requirement is, we want two links one being the primary and one secondary for the fail over.My ISP has done certain configurations, but I am so puzzled what really has been done. I asked with them and they told that they have provided us one public IP 202.166.217.248 via Fibre--> Media Converter-->Ethernet 0/0.At the same time, they have given us a pool of addresses of the network 202.166.216.48/29 through the interface Ethernet 2/1.And we have used all the available public IPs in the server farm. They have told that, for the failover purpose via wireless, they have even used an IP address 202.166.213.114/25.
Now, where my confusion lies is, cant they provide the pool address via fibre? What is the significance of the ip that has been provided via fibre? What actually is its purpose? Isn't it consuming an extra interface ?Cant we have both the primary and secondary link excluding that one additional process?Or, am not understanding the real working mechanism how ISP distribute the internet?
ASA-5510, inside, outside, and some DMZ.Some services published with Static NAT - no problem. Now we need to add a second outside connection, with a second provider.Internet navigation only through the first provider (default gateway to the provider router "A").I need to publish some services ALSO through the second provider, ensuring the accessibility of both public IP addresses.I can set up the second NAT on the second interface, but the answer is ONLY to the first IP (the ISP "A", where I have the default gateway).By Cisco manual, it seems that there is a "lookup route" automatic with the return route of NAT, but it does not work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWe have Cisco 1921 routers that a provider is using for MPLS. They have it configured so that all internet trafic is passed to an internal ip address that is our proxy server. However, they are pushing all of the routing rules down to the workstation which is causing the local route tables to grow to be massive in a very short time. For example, the second I ping a website, the ip address is resolved and then the route is added for the source ip address with the default gateway of the proxy server.I would have thought that all the rules would have been handled by the router and let it keep the table entries.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently switched from cable internet to Verizon DSL since my roommate moved out and took his equipment with him. I set up the wireless router last week and got my laptop to work on the wireless connection. Now I am unable to get my boyfriend's computer to connect to it, when it never had this issue before with the previous wireless. The first day I had it set up, it said it connected, with an "excellent" connection strength, but then the status was 'unable to connect.' I was on the phone with the Verizon guy, who after doing a screen share, said it was my IP address.
So I tried resetting my IP through the CMD, with no luck. Now it doesn't even let me connect to the wireless at all. I've tried both the Intel PROSet/Wireless and the Microsoft client to connect (this is running Windows XP) and when I click 'repair' on the Microsoft client, it tells me it couldn't be corrected because it could not renew the IP address. The firewall is currently off and I removed the defunct McAfee that was never renewed anyway[CODE]
My modem with single network connectivity (Type I) works fine. I tried to replace with Type II modem (with wifi- and 4 or more ports) for connectivity. I could not establish connection with the server of the service provider. I tried to replace with a different type of typeII modem. Still the same. What could be the reason?I connected the same in a different workplace to a different PC.
