Nov 1, 2012We had 1.5 Mbps, but we just upgraded to 8 Mbps. Right away we noticed that we couldn't connect to the Playstation network on the PS3, and loading Google would take several tries. In some cases you couldn't even refresh the page to load Google, you would have to open a new tab. We would have bursts of good speeds from online speed tests, ranging from 8.6Mbps down to not being able to load the test, and everything in between. urls... live in Wisconsin and my ISP is Centurylink (formerly Centurytel), a technician came over yesterday and checked our box outside and inside and said that it was our Margin (db), if I remember correctly. Here is the info from my router: [code] The technician ended up lowering our speed to 6 Mbps, and said that everything looked good, and left. The Margin (db) was at 7.3 inside and 9.7 outside before he lowered it, and he thought that if we could hit 10, we would be fine. If that's the case then it seems like the margin is not the problem. If we are using too much speed could we set QoS on a router (would need a different router) to limit the bandwidth?

Sep 9, 2012I have reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop. the problem is that the wi-fi internet is not working anymore. The network icon in the system tray shows a cross sign with a red color. I cant seem to be able to find a solution. Tried all the solutions listed in the forum. When i connect the lan cable directly into the laptop the internet works fine. But as soon as i remove it the cross sign again comes and i cant have internet access. I am having an Atheros Ar9285 Wireless Network Adapter installed in my device manager and everything is fine there with no ? or ! marks. I am using a Belkin router with in built modem.

the Solutions I Tried to fix that up :-
1) Hard reset the 30/30/15 reset
2) Firmware re-flashing
3) Trying an old firmware 1.0.0.12 instead of 1.0.0.16
but nothing of those worked the Only thing that worked for like 20 min the firmware upgrade but after that the problem came up again the problem happens to all Computers on the network wired or on wireless happens on all kind of operations systems win7, xp, vista, (Android for mobiles).

May 10, 2011How to I find out what ports my Playstation 3 uses for online gaming? Im sure i could search online and find out but im saying how do those websites find their information? For example, even if it doesn't, let's assume Playstation Network uses port 250. How would I manually find this out? And once I find this out, how do I find out what ports any particular game uses? This way I can forward all of these ports in my router. Also, am I correct in assuming that I could simply skip all of this port forwarding and just assign my Playstation 3 a static IP address and place it in my router's DMZ, thus forwarding ALL ports to my Playstation 3? my roommate has an Xbox and plays on Xbox Live. We own 2 routers. Is there any way I can connect 2 routers to my cable modem so that 1 router can be dedicated for my Playstation 3 while the other router can be dedicated for my roommate's Xbox?

With either console it will start off connected than anywhere from 5-30 minutes later it will disconnect from the internet and not reconnect until the system has been restarted. I have tried disabling media streaming as mentioned in a previous post but this had no effect.
I have access to the router and am able to change settings although I don't know what I would change to fix this.

May 3, 2011I've had a DIR-615 rev b for a while and have had it set up with PPPoE sign on. The DSL modem I am using is a Motorola 2210 setup in bridge mode. All was working well. I recently switched over to dry loop AT&T dsl from AT&T dsl over a voice line.After the switch, I am unable to sign on via PPPoE using the dir-615. If I bypass the router, I am able to gain internet access via modem PPPoE sign on. I've also switched modems (Actiontec DT701D) with the same results. What has changed that would prevent the router from PPPoE sign on? I've verified that all settings on the router were the same before and after the dry loop change (including password).

I am trying to establish a Terminal Server session with Single Sign-On (SSO), but without success. Normal login with Username and Password on the TS are functionning, but never SSO session. The environment is: 10 Windows 2008 Terminal Servers (NTS1, NTS2,NTS3...). In DNS I have a host A named TS with IP for balanced CSS. The problem I see is that the client PC opens a TS session to "TS". then dont work SSO, but if client PC open a TS session to NTS1, NTS2...is working fine the SSO I am not sur if we can do something on the CSS.

Dec 10, 2012Cisco E1000 router.connecting directly to the router, internet works. When connecting wirelessly, it works for about 2 minutes, then I get no connection and a yellow ! in the connection setting icon. No wireless internet will work until I power down and restart the router. Then the same problem continues.Today when trying it, it won't even connect for a few minutes. Dec 18, 2011I just purchased the AP1141N and I have created a logon account to access the device via URL which works fine but after 10 minutes it logs me out and requires that I log back on. Unfortunately it won't allow me to log back on unless I reset the device then I have another 10 minutes before it asks me to login again but then it won't accept my logon again without a reset.
I can logon with my account via the console logon but I don't know how to configure the access point via command line so I use the web interface. I have disabled the timing for security but didn't work.
Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 - IE Browsers Don't Support Single Sign On?
Oct 15, 2012I haven't run into this before and I can't find anything in the documentation regarding it. (Our 2 4710 were setup prior in a routed configuration although I personally see no reason for it.) Regardless, we have 2 servers that host 4 websites on them. We built everything on the ACE with a new VIP and matching the http header. If we use firefox/chrome, it load balances properly and we are prompted for credentials as those browsers don't support single sign on. We enter our credentials and are able to get to the appropriate website on the server. When we use IE, it fails to open the page. A sniffer capture shows an authentication failure packet and a reset and that's it. We built the ACE both as sticky and non-sticky but neither worked properly with IE.
Is there something else in the ACE we need to configure to get SSO to work?

Nov 19, 2011I'm suffering from an annoying problem with my E4200 router. I have a DSL connection. I have my DSL modem in bridge mode and I have my router set up to sign into my ISP's PPPoE to avoid double-routing. This set up worked marvelously with my previous WRT54G and WRT610N routers.Now the E4200 signs me out of PPPoE every ten minutes or so. I have the connection setting on "Keep Alive" but it seems to be dropping the connection regularly. I took the router back and was given a replacement. The new router is doing the same exact thing and now I am beyond the 30 day return limit so I'm stuck with the E4200. I'm running the latest firmware 1.0.03
I reinstalled the WRT610N and the connection is steady but the WRT610N has its own problems (devices connected via wireless cannot see wired devices and vice-versa). I'd like my new router to actually work properly. I've ruled out errors on my end and given that two brand new units of the E4200 generated the same problem I tend to believe it is a design error.
