View 1 RepliesI am encountering delays when making any calls using VOIP. I understand that there is always a delay using VOIP but not as much. I've done a bandwidth test on my network and everything seems to be Ok, we have 4 T1s with 55 Reps using it. There is nothing choking up the network.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a rvs 4000 wired linksys router for my business. Everything works great with the exception of my VOIP PBX server. I can receive a call and make a call one at a time. If a second line rings in and is picked up the first call and the second go dead air. I am sure that it is a security setting somewhere that I just can't seem to figure out. I sure would like to get some direction on this.

I just upgraded my DLink DIR655 to WDR4300. My VOIP service has worked for the last 5 years. But with WDR4300, I'm frequently experiencing dropped calls. The call will be cut off every 20 seconds or so. This is really a deal-killer.
As stated in the attached picture, my company has a remote office which its PBX was connected to the main PBX via a pair of leased lines and a pair of E1/HDSL converters. (The distance is about 2 kilometers, so the E1 was converted to HDSL and then back to E1 at the remote site)
Now, IP network is developed between two sites. We want to transfer the calls via a pair of 2811 Routers, both equipped with VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1, as the second part of the picture. I tried to find an straightforward document, but I was unsuccessful. What configurations should be made at both ends to transfer the calls to/from the remote site ?
I would like to connect devices to my network so that their traffic passes through a proxy running on my computer. I figured the best way to do this is by setting the proxy on my router to the one I am running, but then I would need to have another connection to the computer running the proxy or else there would be an infinite loop ?? something like that. so:
Internet -> router (1) -> my proxy on comp A -> router (2) -> computer B
I access the internet from my companys LAN, which has a restrictive firewall, so I cannot request the admin to open any ports manually for me. Hence I use a software called your-freedom. This proxy software supports both http as well as socks 4 and 5 proxy (by entering the proxy IP 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and Port 8080 for http proxy OR 1080 for Socks Proxy), and I have successfully been using web browsers and some other softwares that support proxy/ allow proxy info to be entered to login/ connect to the internet. Your-Freedom also supports port forwarding. However, the softwares I intend to use do not have any options to enter proxy methods or proxy ports (as far as I have noticed). I have tried to proxify these 2 softwares using softwares such as SocksCap and Free Cap, but either they dont work, or my settings in proxifying are not correct. I believe I will have to do port forwarding or proxify the softwares, but have been unable to do so in the correct manner.
Following is the info on the 2 softwares:
1.NOW Trading terminal:[FONT=Times New Roman]Normally when I start the NOW or Zerodha software, the software starts and I get a login screen, but under firewall conditions, I get the initial Splash screen but then the software stops with the error: [b][u]NOW Initialisation failed for Interactive Engine << os error>>.
2.PowerIndia Bulls:The software is written in Java and starts with a batch file (PowerIndiabulls.bat) located in C:UsersDEFAULT_USERNAMEAppD..... I converted this batch file to .exe (with battoexe software) and then ran it through a proxifying software. The .exe start properly without proxifying software but not under proxifying environment. Basically the software needs to connect to the internet using Port 443. I am also expected to keep ports 443, 41599 and 59598 open. software's requirement is available at Indiabulls Securities: Indiabulls Securities is a leading capital market company offering securities broking and advisory services, depository services, equity research services to its clients in India. (item no. 5).To confirm, while the software is unable to connect through port 443, you will get an error message: "Connection to Login Server could not be established" when you try to login with any random Username and Password. To know that the software is able to connect properly, you will get an error: "This User ID is not enabled to be used with this product".
can some one suggest me will it be recommended to use PIX firewall 525 on Voice ( sip ) network for 5000 CC to 1000 CC calls in signaling mode since our server are using public IP so will i be able to use it without NAT / PAT also will there be any issue of QOS.

Its been about a year and half since I had my last Cisco class. Right now Im in the beginning process to work with locally own retailer setup a network infrastructure for IP camera and in the future VoIP, about 45 50 total IP devices when the project is complete.Nothing has been purchased yet but I have some candidates and a network layout planned, thought this is the first time Ie setup network of this type in the real world.Right now I looking at Netgear and LG/Ericsson (previously SMC, Nortel) switchesHavent gotten to the router yet and VoIP will come later. For either brand there would be one 1000MB 24 port switch and three 100MB switches, all of them 24 port and all will have PoE on all ports.[CODE]
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 6 cisco switches already on my network and I just got a 2960S PoE switch that I need to enable for VoIP. The voice vendor is coming in to setup our phone system for VoIP and I need to enable this new 2960S 48 port switch for the VoIP phones, I don't know how to do that, or other taskes needed for this project.
I was told that I need to uplink the new 2960S with the Catalysy 4507R using an ethernet cable and to "trunk the ports" and enable the 2960S as a VTP client - ok great - how?
I was told I also need to use the switch port voice VLAN command for the new VLAN - again, great - but how?
I actually was able to telnet into the switch and I gave it an IP and I created a new vlan but thats all. We are using non Cisco IP phones.
I want to setup a voip network, there's going to be 3 switches connected to a Cisco CME router, my problem is I can't find information on how to configure it.

Each hostel has a particular proxy address that allows us to access the internand by low i mean, quite lowet, and each user has a fixed bandwidth(which is low). My question is, is there a way for one user of a particular hostel to use the bandwidth of multiple users of the same hostel(such that they are in the same ip range, and have the same proxy server for accessing the internet).i.e Is there a way for me to increase my bandwidth by using the bandwidths of other non allocated ips within the range of my hostel, such that with a single broadband connection, i can utilize the the unallocated bandwidth.

However, now the internet does not seem to work (there's that yellow triangle with the exclamation point) and when I try to run diagnostics, the message "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings" comes up. So far, I've tried rebooting, disabling proxies in all of my browsers, and running scans, And I also cannot system restore, because apparently windows security was turned off and there are no restore points
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on windows 7 btw. When I diagnose the problem it says: Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings I'm connected to the internet via cable on my laptop. Yes I'm using a router. The other computers connected to the router can connect to the internet but mine can't. It also says "unidentified network - no internet access" when I click on the computer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. until I downloaded from a music site which gave me the virus I think. Now, I'm not certain if the virus is removed or not. I tried system restore point but it won't even let me restore my computer anymore for some reason, maybe because of the virus.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI'm using my old laptop now. On my regular laptop, my internet icon has the yellow triangle and when I trouble shoot it, the message says "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings".Recently I noticed my computer was heating faster (and hotter) than usual so I ran a search again and it said no threats were found. I have ran the search twice since then and still nothing. I was advised to use ccleaner, malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware. It removed one other threat but the problem was still there. I then started using combofix, but I did not like the look of it so I stopped that scan. It seemed a little sketchy. As of this morning, I'm having the internet problem. My old laptop (the one I'm on now) and my girlfriend's laptop work fine. I connected it with the Ethernet cord and that didn't change anything. I have Windows 7. It's on a 2010 Samsung (I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not sure about all the other details).

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe have 2 h323 IP phones (non cisco) that connect to an IP PBX via a VPN connection using PIX 5505's at each end. The VPN seems to work fine and the phones can be used normally with good call quality, display, status...The problem is that when talking on the phones for any extended period of time, the phone reboots, drops the call and then restarts automatically. This problem usually happens on phone calls lasting 20 minutes or more but has happened on calls as short as 15 minutes. I have also made calls which have gone 45 minutes before the reboot. I have removed everything from the network hosting the remote IP phones except for a single phone and the problem still occurs. It is not a POE Issue as the phones can use a power brick and it still happens. The same phones work perfectly on-site when not using the VPN.Someone has mentioned that I should adjust the UDP Timout Timers of the VPN. I don't see any UDP timers and am at a complete loss on what is causing this. The data traffic does not seem to get dropped when connected accross the VPN for hours at a time.
