View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally decided to go with a e3200 yesterday and picked up one at Walmart. Last night I went to hook it up and had no luck setting it up. Now I have able Internet with a phone VoIP service. After trying to connect several ways, all the router wants to do is sit with a flashing power light. I cannot access the setup page wireless or wired and have tried several methods I found last night.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't have to completely reset my router as I have a ton of configs on it. Anyway, recently for some reason, I lost all access to my admin page. Cisco Connect also cannot find the router. Funny thing is that all of my wireless profiles work just fine. Meaning all of the computers in my home connect to the internet just fine using the router. Both the guest access and WPA connected machines....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to edit settings on my E3200 and was unable to get to the page. I typed in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, made sure no proxies were enabled and tried on wired and wireless computers and all the times it said "page could not be displayed" i haven't not reset with the button on the back. I also did an map scan of the router and this is what came up
Interesting ports on 192.168.1.1:
Not shown: 65531 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
443/tcp open https
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
1780/tcp open unknown
customize the login page for the ssl-vpn as mentioned. When the vpn is set up, the default template allows my customers users to login with this : IMAGE 1
While trying to edit the login page, I have to create a new Customization file from CLIENTLESS SSL VPN ACCESS -> PORTAL -> CUSTOMIZATION in the ASDM. When I do that and I try to edit the login page, it comes up with 2 forms of authentication and an internal password prompt like this: IMAGE 2
How can I edit the login page I created so that users will only see the regular username and password fields like the default template?
When I'm trying to access the Twonky setting page on http://192.168.1.1:9000/config I get: Access is restricted to MediaServer configuration! Is this normal or not?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use to run Twonky media server on my iMac and I was very happy with it. Now I have purchased a Linksys Wifi Router E4200. Twonky server embedded works fine with all my devices except with my Samsung D8000 Led TV. In the Mac version I must identify manually the player (Samsung TV), if not mkv won't play. The question is: How can I select the device in the Linksys E4200? The config page is not available and displays "Access is restricted to mediaserver configuration" E4200 firm V. 1.0.03
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Linxsys WRT54G. Once every week or two, it seems to "forget" its name, and revert to the default name. When I try to access it with my laptop or phone, "Multivac" is gone, and "Linxsys_XXXXXXX" (where XXXX are random numbers and letters) has taken its place. When I go to the setup at 192.168.1.1, the "Router Name" on the first "Basic Setup" page is still "Multivac," but the "Network Name" on the second "Wireless" page has reverted to the default. If I change it back to Multivac, everything is fine for a week or three until it "forgets" again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a BEFVP41 v2.1. Under "access restrictions" I set days and time when access to internet it is allowed. Also applied "Website Blocking by URL Address" and "Website Blocking by Keyword" however some users are now getting access to the internet. I must also mention this settings: Firewall protection it is enable. Router DHCP it is disable and we use static IP address for the PC´S so I established IP range to apply the restrictions. I also try blocking with MAC address of the PC's.Everything else it has default settings. Internet wire goes first to the router and then to the LAN switch. What am I missing?

I'd like to make exception keywords in the Access Control but I don't know how I could possibly do this. E.g. I have put in the keyword "apple" to be blocked, so if a domain has the keyword "apple" in it, it will be automatically blocked. What can I do, however, if I want to make an exception for the domain "appletree.com"? I haven't found any way to make an exception to specific domains or keywords.
Purchased E3200 and did simple setup via CD setup (Cisco connect). Set up main name and password. Cisco Connect assigned "-guest" to end of main name for the guest account. Gave guest account its own password. Both main and guest accounts were broadcasting OK -- but guest account was not secure and could be accessed without password. (All software and firmware upgrades were done during initial setup).Reset the E3200 and restarted things from the CD setup. Created main account, main account password, and guest password again. In advanced settings, left basic wireless settings at initial settings, changed wireless secutiy to WPA2 Personal. Still having the guest account being broadcast in unlocked status. (Have turned off guest access for now until I can get password protection for it).

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to connect the E3200 Router to the internet over the wifi (WLAN) interface?Actually I can only use the ethernet port called "Internet" to connect with my Fritz Box router (which is responsible for my internet connection to my DSL provider). But I don't want to use 10m or more ethernet cable across my flat so it would be nice to use just wifi.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to resolve what I think is an issue with DNLP or broadcast data getting to computers connected to my E3200. I have been wiresharking my network, trying different configuration, and scouring the web looking for an answer. My network is setup as shown below. The E3200 is on the same subnet and wired to the switch using the LAN port.DHCP is turned off. UPnP is enabled. DHCP is provided by the WRT54GL and turned off on the E3200.
WesternDigital has a program called "WD QuickView" and another called "WD Smartware" which together provide feedback about the drive status and real time backup capability (I prefer not to argue the +/- of these programs if folks don't mind <grin>). I have two computers on the wired LAN at the 16 port switch on which these programs work just fine. I get feedback about the drive status and backups occur. I also have two computers on the wireless LAN through the E3200 which DO NOT get feedback about drive status and appear not to detect the drive through the software. I CAN however access the drive by mapping it on Windows explorer for example.
With wireshark I do see chatter between the NAS and the E3200 (TCP traffic which I am not sure about...dpkeyserv stuff). I see broadcasts from the NAS to 239.255.255.250 often followed by talk between one of the wired computers and the NAS (which I am thinking is the comms for the WD...not sure though). I do not see chatter between wireless connected computers and the NAS (except for SMB or transferring files). It seems that the E3200 is not forwarding broadcasts to the computers connected to it even though it is connects as a switch.
how can a change my E3200 to a access point ? i have a wired router for my home network , connect to 2 x PC , NAS , printer. that works good , now i what to start up my wirless access piont . i standard configuration it is also a router . this wirless router is blokking my access to my NAS i think . i need to change it to a access point .

View 9 Replies View RelatedSince the secondary router WRT300N uses the same default IP 192.168.1.1 as the primary installed router EA4500, any attempt to log onto the set up page results in diversion to the Cisco Connect Cloud for the primary router.
Is there a way to access the set up page for the secondary WRT300N, bypassing the main router intervention via the Cloud software?
I have a WRT54G router that I have not used for many years, but now I need to use it again. I have connected it between my modem and PC, and I am able to get an internet connection on the PC, but I am unable to connect to the router's configuration page. I have tried resetting the router numerous times (holding the reset button 5 seconds, 10 seconds, even longer) to reset the IP address to the default 192.168.1.1 address, but still cannot access the page. The power LED is on and the WLAN and Internet LEDs are on, and the LED for the port my PC is connected to is on. The hardware version of the router is v3. I tried downloading the latest firmware, but without being anble to communicate with the router at the IP address I cannot update the firmware. How can I go about connectiong to the router's setup page? When using ipconfig, the Default Gateway appears to still point to my ISP's IP address instead of the router's.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I had DSL, my WRT54G was my DHCP master for my home network. When I got AT&T U-Verse, their "gateway" became the DHCP master and also the wireless access point. But the signal was not strong enough where I wanted to use it, so I hooked up the WRT54G again. I discovered that if I connected the U-Verse gateway to the "Internet" port on the WRT54G Linksys, then my home network was split in two, which I did not want. The WRT54G access point is physically somewhat distant from my wired computer, so I wanted to keep the U-Verse gateway as the DHCP master. (The U-Verse gateway is a router with four "computer" ports but no "Internet" port.)
I followed instructions on the Linksys web site, and using my wi-fi connected computer I re-programmed the WRT54G to be "Disabled" as a DHCP server. Then I powered down and physically connected the U-Verse gateway to a "Computer" port on the WRT54G. This solved my problem: my distant wi-fi computer now has a good signal, and both computers "see" each other.
However, now I seem to have lost access to the WRT54G setup "web page." Is it possible to access the innards of the WRT54G when its DHCP service is disabled? Or would I have to reset the device to factory configuration and start all over if I wanted to make any tweaks?
My internet is T1 by Verizon. My mom's company Siemens pays for our internet because she works from home as medical tech support on the phone. Okay so the T1 had to be laid out to our house underground I think because where we live, other brands of internet aren't available. The T1 goes from the box outside into our basement and hooks up to a Cisco 1721 modem. From the 1721 the internet goes out to a wireless router that is sitting right next to it. This wireless router is a Linksys WRT160N V2. We have several cables coming out of the WRT160N V2 to go to the first floor for hardwired connections, but one cable goes to the attic and connects to a second wireless router. The second wireless router is a Linksys E2000. We have several cables coming out of the E2000 that go to the 2nd floor to serve as hardwired connections.Okay so let me explain where things went wrong.
After a storm our power went out. Eventually the power came back on, but every now and then our internet would shut off for like half a day then turn right back on, so our internet was getting really really spotty. The AL light on the Cisco 1721 would come on every time the internet went out. It was so bad that my mom had to get an aircard from verizon to get internet. So after two weeks of spotty service and arguing with verizon trying to get them to come fix the problem, they said try resetting your wireless routers because they might have "bad data" in the lines causing spotty connection. So we reset the wireless routers by holding down the reset buttons on the back. Well.. this reset all of the settings for the routers which Cisco facilitated set up, and now our wireless routers are out of warranty date so they can't set the wireless routers back up. However, we have copies of the online wireless router set up page, so we thought maybe we could just set them up ourselves.Well the problem is... We don't know how to connect to the wireless setup pages.. I read something on the internet about setting up wireless networks and to type 192.168.1.1 into our browser(Mozilla Firefox) and that would bring us to the wireless setup page. But the page does NOT ever come up.
Another way to find the IP address of our wireless routers would be to try going to the cmd and typing in ipconfig and using the Default Gateway IP address for the browser to connect to the setup page but that doesn't work out either.... Right now I unhooked the Linksys WRT160N V2 and hardlined the Cisco 1721 to the Linksys E2000 to a PC on the second floor because I figured it wouldn't work out if we had two wireless routers running at the same time. Currently the browser is taking me no where at all. It just says "Connecting..." but nothing is loading up at all.I tried hardlining from the Cisco 1721 to my mom's laptop, which is her work computer, and I got no response at all. I figured it might just be her work computer that was messing up and not allowing her to hardline into the 1721 so I tried hardlining the Cisco 1721 straight to the PC desktop on the second floor(we have no other laptops other than my mom's work laptop) and nothing went through. Then my dad says the Cisco 1721 has been configured so it doesn't direct connect, meaning that it has to go through a wireless router.
