Just finished the setup for Canon MP780 USB printer to work with EA4500. Printer goes online only while it prints the pages. When I try to scan the document with MP Navigator it cannot communicate with the scanner as printer is essentially offline. How to setup the printer in order to perform the scan of the documents?
View 2 RepliesI added some files to the hard drive which is connected to EA4500 by USB. I went to the Storage--Media Server Tab and clicked Scan All. I turned on the TV and pointed the DLNA Media Server at the hard drive.
The new files did not show up. They did show up a few hours later. Does the Scan button do anything?
I cannot access the WRT610n setup/management pages wirelessly from my Macbook using safari. I can access the router via wireless from iPhone and PC and I can access it from the Macbook via ethernet cable.
When I try to access the router from the Macbook I just get "Contacting..." in the Safari status line and eventually it times out.
I can access the internet using Safari via WRT610n wireless. The only page I can't access is the router's management page.
My old linksyst wap could see the printer without any special configuration, the new one cannot ,also changing out anther pc with iTunes on it and the two cannot see each other

After hours of searching, I couldn't find any evidence to how I can install a USB printer without the obvious Cisco Cloud Connect. I don't need any software or account to access my router over the net nor any of the features CCC provides (at least as of yet). I'm quite comfortable with using the web interface and easily managed to adjust the router for everything I need except the printer part. I certainly have things to print so I have to connect my printer to the router as it is clearly mentioned on its box that I can access my printer through it. As a last resort I tried to install the software on the CD that came with it to get a link for some "Cisco VUSB" software which I think is the solution but it keeps saying my modem is not connected to the net. It clearly isn't because I don't have an internet connection at home. What I have is a 3G connection which I use for communicating and downloads I need. So why do I need an internet connection on the router for anything and how do I install my printer?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi havent been able to print anything wirless or even with the usb cord in about a wk. i can try to print out anything it will say printing or nothing and nothing happens. just when i search to see whats going on, its says that certain amount of documents are waiting/pending. ive canceled them several times. i also know about the printer spooler i fixed that and i thought that was it, cuz i was able to print a color page for my kids right after, but after that i wasent unless i did the spooler thing again. and i try to print something from any sight and pop up thing comes out ive just moved it today to allow only for secure sights only. also i i went into printer setup and software did what it asked and nothing still. im on this page now told me to check ip address printed out for wirless network and it shows but and i viewed the summary for wired and there nothing shows. oh it wont print anything i need to print but it does print automatically epicurious receipe everyday. i have a windows 7 hp computer and and hp officejet pro 8600 all in one printer. i have set up to wireless.

I have enabled the guest network and from all I can tell it's on a seperate subnet from my internal network like it should be. 192.168.x.x My internal is on a 10.x.x.x network. I conenct to the guest network using a laptop and I'm prompted for a password to get to the internet, which I like. The one issue I'm seeing is when I'm connected to the guest network I can still do an RDP session to internal resources. How is this possible if the guest network is on a seperate subnet?I take a laptop which has not been joined to my domain, connect to the guest ssid, and then open an RPD session and enter an IP address for an internal server and it connects. Is there a setting to keep this from happening

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new router for my home network. It is the Cisco linksys EA4500. It looks great and is rich with features but I just wish I didn't buy it!
My old wireless router started to have its wireless signal very weak, hence this new linksys router. When it is time to setup the router, I just did what was supposed to be done(which is very straight forward, just a matter of choosing pppoe and inputting a username and password) and went ahead to test the internet connection which didn't work! Upon inspection, I discovered that the lights on the internet port on the router(WAN port) didn't turn on at all as if the cable wasn't connected. I quickly checked all connections and to kill any doubt I reconnected the cable to the old router to make sure it is working and it worked. So there is nothing wrong with the cable!
I tried everything one can think of to no avail. The only conclusion one would draw from this whole scenario is that the new router is bad. So, I took it back to the shop I bought it from and before giving me another one, he said he will test it out and I said okay. Surprisingly enough, it just worked !!! Don't ask me why but it just did work beautifully, although at my house if you plug the cat6 cable(that you know for sure has internet) into its internet port, it won't even turn its lights on.
[code] I had a new wireless DSL router installed on the network. The router recognizes both the laptop and printer and I can print documents from the laptop fine. I cannot print an accessed webpage from any browser (Firefox, Chrome or IE).

View 1 Replies View RelatedConnected our Brother MFC-8820D printer/scanner/fax directly to one of the 4 Ethernet ports on the back of the DIR-655 in our new install with this router, and all computers can print to it, whether connected via an Ethernet cable or via wireless, but none of the printers can scan. We just get an error message. Scanner driver is installed on all computers. Same printer worked fine via Ethernet on a Windows small business server for printing and scanning. Windows server no longer used or connected. Only DIR-655 as we are dumbing down and getting rid of our Windows server and have gone to a NAS solution connected to the DIR-655.
What can we do to make the scanning work on our Multifunction printer?

have problem with WRT54GH, almost every second page after reload gets an error message: Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset. Tried both on IE, Firefox, Chrome Tried to disable antivirus, no effect, the pages still load not all the time, firmware upgraded to the latest version. Before didi not have such problem with Zyxel W330EE.

I plugged the ethernet cable directly from the modem to the computer and everything was fine, so I reset the router, reconnected it to the modem, and went to the setup page 192.168.1.1. View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to access my DSL Modem's http setup screens from my networked computers via my DIR-655 (rev B) router - but I do not know how to get the router to route to the WAN port.
At first, I had my DSL Modem's LAN IP at 192.168.0.1 and my DIR-655 at 192.168.1.1 and the rest of my home network at 192.168.1.xxx; because I had read on a forum that having the modem on a different subnet prevented potential routing problems. When I pointed my web browser to 192.168.0.1 - it would just timeout (I kind of expected that).
Now (willing to try anything), I have my DSL Modem's LAN IP at 192.168.0.2 and my DIR-655 at 192.168.0.1 and the rest of my home network at 192.168.0.xxx (DHCP range is set to assign hosts from 64 to 254). When I point my web browser to 192.168.0.2 - it still just times out.
The DSL Modem is setup in transparent bridge mode. And everything else is working well with the home network.
How can I get the DIR-655 to pass/route my http connection to the DSL modem?
i just bought a sony lcd tv and this model can be controlled by a smartphone via an app called mediaremote. The app should scan the local network and find the tv and than, after pairing, you can use the smartphone as remote controller over Wi-Fi.
My problem is that the router block the network scan and the app can't find the tv; is there somethig i can chack in the configuration or that else to permit the local network scan?
I tried to connect tv and smartphone to the neighbour wifi and the app woks perfect so i'm sure that is a my network problem.
I'm experiencing dropping connection and can't play online games because of extreme lag. when pinging certain sites here is the results at the bottom. so very extremely high ping. then after a while like 5 mins, when i hover my mouse cursor at the network icon it says limited access and i don't have any internet connection, even powercycling doesn't work. it stays like that. when using direct connection to the modem only it works fine. but when using the wrt120n router i experience that problem either wired or wireless it stays the same. My firmware is latest, router settings default.
