View 3 RepliesI have WRT 120 N which has apparently stopped working. When I turn it on, only the power led turns on without blinking, no other light flashes. My computer can't detect the router signals since the signal light is off. Neither does my modem show that the router is connected to it through the ethernet cable. My ethernet cable is working fine, since it is working directly with the computer.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIve recently tried to update the firmware and everything went as instructed, then the power and LAN light went out. Now I have the indicator lights for the computer and modem, but thats is. No internet or SSID broadcast. I cannot log into or ping the unit, and have tried the hard reset many times, with no effect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Wireless-G WRT54G router has a blinking power light and the startup software says "Unable to connect to the Router! Check that the Router has been connected to the computer, and that your Ethernet adapter is working." I tried uploading the firmware but I can't get to the router page to update. Is there a known problem or solution here or am I just going to have to find the router page?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I recently upgraded from a WRT54GS to a WRT160N v2, all was well and good for about 3 days. Then I would lose my internet connection every 5 minutes or so, it would fix itself by the time I could open up command prompt and start pinging to pin point the problem. I decided I would update the firmware to see if that would fix the issue. Since doing that the power light has been blinking non stop. I've tried restoring it to factory defaults by holding the reset button for 30seconds, turning it off for 2 minutes and back on. That little blue light just keeps flashing. I can't even access the router setting page using 192.168.1.1. My OS is Windows xp x64 sp2, and I have DSL.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy router was working fine until today. I figured it out when I tried to get on the internet and it wouldn't let me. I hooked up the ethernet directly from my modem to my computer and then my internet worked fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNo download available and none available via Linksys Live Chat or FTP and having spent the best part of the week trying to find relevant firmware on other forums I decided to come here to get answers to the following questions, hopefully from version 1.0 experienced owners or not.
#1. Can the firmware of version 2.0 and 3.0 be reduced to flash version 1.0?
#2. When diagnosing the blinking power light issue by connecting directly to the router and the network card using "ping -t 192.168.1.xxx" which network address do I use, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 to 2xx?
I get a reply using 192.168.1.1 but I'm not sure that works when using the TFTP Utility if it's the wrong address on my Laptop to ping?
I have a Linksys WRT54GS vers 7.2 Router on an iMac OS X Leopard. The other day I was in the middle of downloading an upgrade for the router when Firefox gave me this message: "Firefox can't find the server". I was no longer able to access the internet, and the router's green power light was left flashing. It flashed for over 24 hours. I tried unplugging the router and shutting down the computer, then plugging in the router and turning on the computer. (I don't have a modem.) The light was still flashing. I tried pressing the logo button for 5 seconds. Still flashing. Tried pressing the reset button in the back. Still flashing. 'I can't get on the internet or into the router. Linksys live chat gave me a link to "Upgrading the router’s firmware using the TFTP utility", which involves a download, but I can't download anything because I can't access the internet.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've seen related to flashing power lights on the router involve fixes via firmware upgrades off a PC.I'm on an iMac os 10.6.7. The WRT54 used to work as a wireless modem a couple of years ago. Tonight, it doesn't. power light blinks. Can't access any webpage interface for the thing. Reset, power down, computer restart, cable modem turn off don't change anything. Is there anything that can be done other than tossing the linksys? If that is the only option, are there wireless routers more suitable for a Mac?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a ~3 month old e1000 v2. In the last 24 hours it appears to have died, all 4 ethernet lights plus the power light and the one to it's left are on continuously. Before I dispose of it, does anyone know if this really is a hardware fail or is there some way to recover it? I've tried a few resets, power cycles and leaving it off for a few hours in the hopes that would bring it back to life but to no avail.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys E2500 and recently the power led light on the back of the router started blinking. The router itself seems to be working fine. I can access the router and the router seems to be assigning the IP addresses fine. I did look up the issue on the knowledge base and tried all the solutions but the light is still blinking. Not sure what to do anymore.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I just got this new WRT160Nv2 router. I have (1) wired computer and then my laptop running wireless to it. For the first couple days I had some issues getting consistant internet but after reading some stuff on here I downgraded to the version 8 hardware and it worked GREAT for about 3 days. Now my power light won't stop flashing and I have NO internet connection at all through the router. I have tried to reset the router by holding down the button and also unpluging it but still nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys X2000 modem. Sometimes I see the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" button glowing orange (amber?) for no apparent reason. The manual says that it "blinks rapidly in amber if an error occurs" but I don't think any device is trying to connect wirelessly at the time. How can I determine if there is a problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedEverything was working fine. Changed Nothing on the router. Goes out and now wont broadcast a wireless signal, cant manually reset the router, or get into the settings with 192.168.1.1

linksys x 2000 modem unfortunately, when I turned the modem on today, the power light which normally was white became red.I tried all the ways I knew, such as restarting in 5 or 30 seconds intervals but unfortunately it didn't work
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have been having internet problems lately and first thought it was my modem. Figured out it wasn't the modem but the isp. After I woke up the next morning I found the wireless not to we working again but the hard connection to be just fine. I have tried resetting the router but I'm not entirely sure I went through. The orange light no longer comes on. Wired connection also doesn't work while connected to the router. I have tried 192.168.1.1 and nothing loads. The router and modem are about 5 or 6 years old. A windows xp desktop, windows 7 and vista laptops are on the network with a blue ray player.the router is a wrt54gs2 v7
I think i have to reconfigure the router but I'm not sure. If that's the case why am i having trouble with 192.168.1.1?
Unable to stop the power light from blinking on a BEFSR41 tried updating the firmware.I have tried resetting the router using the rest button, for 3 seconds, 10 seconds, and 30 seconds, nothing works.Tried running the setup disk, but it does not see the router. Is there a repair tool that I can download?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI previously asked if I should be concerned that the Internet light on my Linksys E3000 router doesn't light up when I have Internet access. Well recently I had to do a reset and I noticed that during the reset it does in fact light up, but it doesn't come on when the router is done with the reset!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys x2000 and have been using it successfully on DSL with a local ISP. I recently changed to Century Link and now I can't connect to the internet (Century Link). If I change the UserId and Password from my Century Link values back to my old ISP values, I can connect to my old ISP. Century Link tells me they have my account active with the X2000 and Century Link.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I messed around with my router a little too much and just want to restore it back to the original firmware now. I have a WRT54GS v7 Linksys router and tried to follow this guide to flash the firmware to something a little more useful. After step 7 of that guide, I can't ping my router, can't access the GUI, and have no idea what my router's IP is. If I assign each computer plugged into the router an IP like 192.168.1.2 I can ping them, so the router is still functioning somewhat. I'm plugged into my modem right now to get on the Internet.
Right now, my power light is off, my DMZ light is off, my WLAN light is off, but the other lights turn on if I plug a cord into its port (plug a computer into port 1, port 1's light comes on). When I do an ipconfig /all i get this. I doubt the web interface still works, but if I could at least get the router's IP, couldn't I use tftp and put the firmware on that way?
I have a Thomson TG784 router and i have a problem with it. once i turn on my rouet, and no cables are plugged in, except the power one, the two lights start blinking. The Power and the Ethernet ligh blinking. Once i connect my Ethernet cable and my DSL cable, the light are still blinking with no changes... What should i do?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am thinking of buying Linksys x2000 , WAG160N or any other you suggest to use as a wireless access point. Is it possible? My setup is : I get my internet from my neighbor by ethernet cable from his router. My house is two-storied and ethernet cable comes to top left corner of first floor and the devices(two notebook) are on the bottom right corner at the second floor , insulation greatly reduces the signal strength.
