Multiple Wired Devices Need To Be Wirelessly Connected

I have a wireless G router and all of my devices that connect to it right now all have wireless adapters. I have several devices in a media closet (about 3 or 4 - Blu ray, DVR, ect) that only have wired ports. Since all these devices are right next to each other, I don't need to buy a wireless adapter for each one because that's just pointless. is there a way to have all 4 of these wired devices connect to a central device, which in turn this device connects to my wireless network? I know there is a way I just haven't been able to figure it out.And then, with this new device, is there some special way it has to be configured?

I just moved into a new place and the cable company supplied me with a Motorola sbg6580 gateway and I have a netgear wnr3500l router with dd-wrt. because of location I have computers plugged into both devices (htpc and game consoles in the gateway, desktops in the netgear). how would i configure the gateway and router so everything sits on a single network AND the netgear with dd-wrt handling all the heavy lifting (port forwarding mostly)

All of a sudden my laptop, android phone and blu ray player (all wireless devices) can't communicate with my wired devices (marantz receiver and samsung tv). Everything still connects to the internet independently but i can't for instance play music from my wireless laptop to my wired marantz receiver. I had no trouble with this last week and didn't change anything (that I'm aware of) I did get Verizon to switch out my router but it didn't solve anything. My wife's computer also cannot connect to wired devices. Lastly, if I connect my laptop with via ethernet cable it sees wired devices fine. I tried shutting off windows firewall but didn't work. I have no other firewall/virus software installed. I can ping to all devices (wired and wireless) from my laptop.

I have the firmware 2.10NA. In my home we have about 4 laptops and 4 smartphones connecting to this router wirelessly and 3 of the laptops often lose connection for hours. We have tried unplugging the router and plugging it in again and factory reset and also resetting it through the IP address but the connection doesnt come back. Recently it has gone out for about 3 hours now. Also the wireless LED icon on the router constantly blinks is this normal? On the laptops where theres no connection it says limited connectivity. Is it possible that there is too many devices connected to the router or something. or could this be a problem with the laptops and not the router?

I'm currently using an orange livebox which has been pretty reliable in the past. My set up is livebox > homeplug > homeplug > linksys wireless router > into 2 pcs.Its odd because my pcs have trouble detecting the wireless router, however my laptop can link up no problems.I have plugged my laptop directly into the livebox via ethernet and it works fine so I can rule out the livebox. I've also swapped the cables and they all work ok.Basically, it does link up intermittently and runs perfectly, but then after a day, or even 10 minutes it disconnects and I have a nightmare getting it to work again. I went through the entire cable system and got right to the end and hey presto it all worked...so I plugged my pcs back in. Then after about 10 mins it lost the network connection and I couldnt even link up to the livebox router by keying in 192.168.1.1. The laptop CAN connect wirelessy and access the config pages.

I have just bought and setup this router, Wired connection working fine, Problem is no devices seem to connect to wireless, my other PC, phone etc find the router with strong signal, I enter the key but nothing happens. I tried with my phone and stood next to the router and it connected but dropped out when I walked a few feet away.

I've had been successfully using a WRT400N to extend my wireless network as follows:
The WRT400N connected to my network via an Ethernet port in my kitchen. The cable ran down to a corner of my basement connecting to Verizon router that brings in our Internet, TV etc.
The Verizon router's poor location was a problem, and placing the WRT400N in the kitchen worked perfectly, providing excellent network access and Internet to wireless devices throughout my home. It worked fine for over a year.
Recently, we had a power outage which reset the WRT400N to factory settings. and I am having trouble getting it to work again. I set it up in the first place, but am now having difficulties. Clearly, I am no guru!
I tried to get it going again by: 1) plugging the WRT400N into a PC and giving it a new IP address that would not conflict with the Verizon router (both default to 192.168.1.1) 2) turning off DHCP, 3) renaming the router, 4) changing the router password, 5) setting up a WPA2 security key.
I then plugged the WRT400N back into the kitchen Ethernet port, but something is wrong. Wireless devices cannot find the WRT400N.
The good news is that I can "see" the WRT400N through any PC on the network via a browser and access setup, but the bad news is that devices cannot see or connect to the wireless signal.
When I go to "Status" it shows the IP address, subnet address and default gateway all at 0.0.0.0. On the SETUP page, it has the correct router address (192.168.1.9), and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Not sure if it is supposed to be this way...

I have a WRT610 and am unable to connect any devices wirelessly. All the lights on the right hand side of the router are on except for the USB connection....what am I doing wrong? The router has worked for about a year flawlessly and last night all wireless connections quit.

My friend's wireless internet just suddenly failed last night. She was watching Youtube videos, but had to do something, so she closed the window. When she came back, she couldn't connect, and was given an error, something about user connectivity.Her wired connection is still working.

I have a Dlink dir-600 router I flashed it with dd-wrt it was was working good but I started experiencing some problems so I decided to flash it with the stock firmware and I did so later on after a week the Ethernet ports on the router stopped working I thought the router was bricked but I was able to connect wirelessly and could access the Internet and I was even able to change the settings of the router by going to 192.168.0.1 all was fine but all the ethernet ports stopped working so I thought it was the problem of the stock frimware and I again flashed it with dd-wrt but still all the Ethernet ports won't work I can only connect the computers wirelessly.

I have a printer (with wireless capability) wired to desktop (Windows XP) and a wireless laptop (Windows 7).My question is, can the printer be connected wirelessly to the laptop as well as wired to the desktop, or does everything have to be wireless? If I want to share files between the two computers, do they both have to be the same operating system? (one is Windows XP and the other is Windows 7)

My Laptop IP 192.168.0.198 cannot see shares with desktop 192.168.0.199. Both PC's are win 7 with firewalls turned off. However the desktop can see shares on laptop. All computers are part of WORKGROUP. When wireless i can ping desktop.When i plug Ethernet cable to laptop 192.168.0.196 I can access desktop files.Also weird thing i have turned off password protection sharing but still asked for password (can live with that though)

My buddy just purchased a Sharp AR-M450 multifunction printer for his small business and it has the optional network card. He wants to take advantage of the network printing capabilities but we want to avoid having to run an ethernet cable from the printer to the wireless router. The entire network is wireless because running cables would be a huge pain in the building he is in. What could we use to connect the printer to the network without running cables?

Windows 2003 R2 Server machine cannot be pinged, not XP? I'm running a highly modified version of Windows 2003 R2 to make use of an old PC. It connects beautifully to a Verizon router (I can browse the Internet), but I can't figure out how to share folders on my network. I have a Macbook and Win7 machine and both cannot see this old PC on the network. I have tried to ping the old PC from my Win7 machine, and it will only timeout. We have 3 pcs connected to the router via cable and 2 more pcs connected through wireless. Everything works great. But when I try to connect (want to connect 2 more laptops via wireless) either one of the two laptops, the whole network stops working immediately. I have tried updating the drivers (they are up to date), removing the password from the router, gave the laptops static IPs (and all other pcs as well) with no results. As soon as one of the 2 laptops joins the network through wireless, it stops working for everybody. However if I connect them through the cable they work fine. One of the laptops uses win vista 64 bit, the other one win 7 64 bit. We have cisco RangePlus Wireless Router wrt110.

Recently I bought TD-W8151N wireless adsl router, I have one desktop computer that connected to TD-W8151N via ethernet and wirelessly to one laptop, IP Addr: 192.168.1.4, Subnet 255.255.255.0 and Gateway: 192.168.1.1 : desktop (LAN connection IP Addr: 192.168.1.3, Subnet 255.255.255.0 and Gateway: 192.168.1.1 : laptop (wireless connection) but I can't ping each other and also can't access the share folders between them., both computers can access internet. Is there anything I missed the configuration setting of the router? Before I use wireless, I connected this 2 computers using cross-type utp cable, and working good.

I am in a manufacturing test scenario and need to connect multiple devices with the same IP address (identical hardware all with the same fixed IP) to one Windows 7 desktop for the purposes of testing.I have a 3Com SuperStack II Switch 1100 that I am using as my switch. This switch supports VLAN and I have set up a number of VLANs, 1 for each device, with the host machine residing in all of the VLANs. I need to connect to these devices via SSH, preferably all simultaneously.'m thinking this will work except I have no idea how to differentiate ssh traffic to/from any 1 of the VLANs to the host.

I recently moved into a new place and while unpacking I found my Linksys WRT54G router and I am currently trying to set it up to I can connect to it wirelessly. I am able to access the administrative settings fine, and have got it to finally connect to the router, but there is no Internet connection, nless I am hardwired into my cable modem. I dont believe I have the software installed on this computer and I cant seem to find a place to download it even on the Linksys website, and the firmware is probably in bad need of updating.

I would like to connect a variety of wireless devices in my house to my work VPN while allowing other devices in the house access to my home network as normal.I was hoping to find a wireless ADSL router that allows me to associate a LAN port to a VPN connection, then connect a wireless access point to that port. I want to connect my ps3, sky hd+ box and samsung smart tv. Upstairs is my wireless router and I have connected to this by using a power supply networking adaptor (duvelo). I have since purchased a cheap ethernet switch from ebay and plugged this into the power adaptor connection next to my ps3, sky hd+ and samsung smart tv downstairs. I thought by connecting these 3 devices to the switch (which is connected to the duvelo adaptor) I could have all 3 devices simultaneously connected online. However, I still can only have 1 ethernet cable in the switch at once and hence only connect 1 device at a time.

I just got a Nook Color as a gift (nice huh?) I just bought my iPad2 in Jan. So now I've got Comcast cable with a Netgear N600 router and:
1 desktop Win XP sp3 plugged into router
1 desktop Win 7 usb wireless
1 HP laptop w/ Vista
2 Dell old laptops Win XP not used much
Sony PS3 not on much
iPad2 always on
Nook Color
AND a Roku always on
I think that's all. So I'm guessing all this will slow down my whole connection? My iPad is the fastest. My Nook is extremely slow. Maybe it's the B&N website? When I go to shop and even when I registered it, it says connection having trouble. I finally had to setup my account at BN with my desktop. The Nook wouldn't stay connected.
