I have a WRT610 and am unable to connect any devices wirelessly. All the lights on the right hand side of the router are on except for the USB connection....what am I doing wrong? The router has worked for about a year flawlessly and last night all wireless connections quit.

I had PCs, Macs and other devices (iphone, itouch) able to connect fine to the WRT610n. I moved to an apartment and when I turned the network on all the devices could connect expect for the iphone and itouch. I have tried turning the wireless security off and MAC filtering off . I get the same "Unable to join the network" message.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIm running a linksys wireless router, WRT54G V6 with firmware 1.02.8. It worked before I moved after I moved I can't connect via wireless. hard line works. i've tried resting to factor, i've tried not using ses, not using custom ssid. I've rest it like 5 times retarted the computers. I've hit the little cisco systems button on the front, this makes it work for a few minutes. When I hit the button it will go out then come back on white, and blink around 1-2 blinks per second, it will do this for maybe 1-2min. then stops and changes back to orange. and i get nothing from it. the WLAN light is on like it's working but I cannot detect it with my desktop or laptop, can i can detect 3 other routers around me. I've tried pretty much everything i know to do, tried flashing it, updating, about the only option i have left is throwing it out the window.

New laptops, PS3, friends laptops. Error message would suggest that password is being entered incorrectly, but I change the password to very basic word (idiot proof) but no luck.

Devices on the wireless network, those that have been on the network, are able to disconnect and reconnect. Just new devices are excluded. Have gone through the admin screens to see if something is amiss but can not find anything.

The WRT400N connected to my network via an Ethernet port in my kitchen. The cable ran down to a corner of my basement connecting to Verizon router that brings in our Internet, TV etc.
The Verizon router's poor location was a problem, and placing the WRT400N in the kitchen worked perfectly, providing excellent network access and Internet to wireless devices throughout my home. It worked fine for over a year.
Recently, we had a power outage which reset the WRT400N to factory settings. and I am having trouble getting it to work again. I set it up in the first place, but am now having difficulties. Clearly, I am no guru!
I tried to get it going again by: 1) plugging the WRT400N into a PC and giving it a new IP address that would not conflict with the Verizon router (both default to 192.168.1.1) 2) turning off DHCP, 3) renaming the router, 4) changing the router password, 5) setting up a WPA2 security key.
I then plugged the WRT400N back into the kitchen Ethernet port, but something is wrong. Wireless devices cannot find the WRT400N.
The good news is that I can "see" the WRT400N through any PC on the network via a browser and access setup, but the bad news is that devices cannot see or connect to the wireless signal.
When I go to "Status" it shows the IP address, subnet address and default gateway all at 0.0.0.0. On the SETUP page, it has the correct router address (192.168.1.9), and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Not sure if it is supposed to be this way...
I have the firmware 2.10NA. In my home we have about 4 laptops and 4 smartphones connecting to this router wirelessly and 3 of the laptops often lose connection for hours. We have tried unplugging the router and plugging it in again and factory reset and also resetting it through the IP address but the connection doesnt come back. Recently it has gone out for about 3 hours now. Also the wireless LED icon on the router constantly blinks is this normal? On the laptops where theres no connection it says limited connectivity. Is it possible that there is too many devices connected to the router or something. or could this be a problem with the laptops and not the router?

I bought a WD 1TB hard drive, formatted it with the router set everything up. after about a day I tried to upload a file from work and got an error, and it wiped the harddrive clean. I reloaded thinking it was a fluke and everything worked fine for about a month. Uploading and downloading worked fine from where ever I was at, on the local network or over the internet. Then I tried to upload a small file, got the error and all of my files were gone again.

I tried to change it and messed it up bad. Everyime I sign on to "naular" it makes "Naular 2" then Naular 2 3 then Naular 2 3 4 etc. Then I only get local access. I look at my wireless thing and it says i'm connected to naular 2 3 4 5 when I signed onto Naular earlier.

The Wireless Was previously working fine though recently, has stopped working, all the other devices on the wireless network work fine (Asus Laptop, Iphone's etc). The hp laptop has no problem in connecting to the neighbours wireless and picking up a signal, however, when i go to search for the WAG320N im unable to find it in the list, sometimes it does appear, but after double clicking has trouble connecting to the wireless and will then dissapear from the list. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 on Dell N4110. I am unable to connect to my netgear router wirelessly. If i restart the router, it may work for some time but then again gets disconnected. However, i can connect to it through wired connection. Others in my apartment can connect to the router. They dont have windows 7 (they use vista, ubuntu). Its working fine for them. I have tried many things like updating the router, disabling firewall, changing wireless security settings, updating windows but none of them seem to work. My friend who has the same laptop also cant connect when I cant. As soon as my connection is disconnected, his also disconnects.

I'm using Windows XP SP3 and immediatly after installing (which went extreamy well) it immediatly found and listed all of my home network printers. All of the wired and wireless windows based systems in my house can see and print to the printers without any problem. However, getting ANY of my apple devices (iPad, iPhone etc ) to print will not even show them as listed on the device when I select print on the devices. Collobos says that I have to make sure that Ports UDP 5353 doe Bonjour and TCP 6361 for FingerPrint need to be open both ways for it to work, I have no problem getting into the router settings and have set them up as stated above in Port Range Triggering and enabled. Also made sure Filter Multicast was not check marked in Security. Unfortunatly, that doesn't seem to work as I had hoped.

The desktop is mine and my roommate wirelessly connects with her laptop and has been doing so no problem for about 6 months (ever since we got the router). On Christmas Eve, she was connected, went out, came home and found she'd lost her wireless connection. Now she can't get it back.I can still get online on the desktop.i've power cycled to no avail. What is weird is sometimes she will click on the list of available networks (so she can choose which she wants to connect to) and mine WILL be there, other times it will NOT. If she does happen to catch it at a moment when my network is there, and she tries to connect using the passphrase, it says "Trying to connect" or something to that effect, for like 3 minutes and then nothing happens. Also, not that I would need to, but if I go to "connect to" on my PC (as if I were looking to choose a network to connect to), my network name doesn't always show. It is random. Sometimes it does not even show when I go to "Networks" on my desktop.

I can access the cameras from my local LAN both when using the local 10. ..and external 99 .. Addresses. When I go off the local connection - Access does not work. Slingbox did its auto configuration and I can access it. I just cant get to camera devices (Panosonic, Foscam, etc.).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'll try and keep this brief, we were having problems with our netgear router (DGN1000) mainly with connection when online gaming with PS3, generally poor connection - so purchased a TP-Link router (TD-W8960N). We could usually access the netgear wirelessly on our laptops Dell and Acer Aspire 4820T (both Windows 7) without any problems and were still doing so last night. However hubby attempted to install the new router last night and all seemed to go fine but after installing we couldn't connect to the wireless network through laptops, iphone ps3 etc - even though we could see the network with excellent strength, after hours of trying called TP-Link they went through everything they could think of and still no joy. Gave up in the end and went to reinstall the netgear Router and now we have the same problem with this router, even though earlier in the night it wasn't a problem - we deleted the previous networks so there was nothing stored in memory & tried everything we can think of (although neither of us are brilliant with IT we do usually get by).We even set up an unsecured wireless network (on both routers) and still couldn't connect?

All the lights were still flashing as they should, I could still go to the setup page, I just could not connect to the internet, both through wired and wireless. I could connect straight through the modem though.
So I decided that since the router was probably over a decade old that maybe it was just its time, and I bought a new one (E1000). I connected it, and still could not connect to the internet. I then did some internet searching and found this [URL] and I followed what was mentioned in post 10 (MAC address clone and changing local IP). Now I can connect through the wired connection and I rejoiced thinking I solved it.
Then I checked my laptop and it won't even connect to the router. It sees the router, but when I ask it to connect, it just says it can't. I decided I was too exhausted to try searching and fixing it on my own and if I tried I'd just end up breaking something out of frustration.
Does the EA4500 offer b/g wireless or not. My wireless camera is b. Cannot get it to connect to the ea4500 wirelessly.

I have a set of computers I want to have set up as a lab on their own router and have a WRT54GS available for me to modify.
The WRT is in the dining room (office) and the cable modem/E1000 are about 45 feet away.
I want to set up the wireless environment on the E1000 as 192.168.1.1-24 and the wired network as 192.168.2.1-24 with the wired network being able to wirelessly connect to the wired so all the machines in the house can see my server and other machines.
I have two E1200 routers, one of which I purchased last night. My table and netbook are only connecting wirelessly at 65Mbps max. These same devices connect to a WRT120N router at 150Mbps though.
I have the settings on the E1200 the same as the WRT120N.
So why is the the E1200 only connecting at 65Mbps then? Changing channels and MTU and beacons has no positive effect.
I need to hook two wireless routers togetner. I want to use the E4200 as the primary and the WRT54GS as a bridge or 2nd access point to the same network. I have the WRT54GS firmware upgraded to the latest dd-WRT firmware with WDS enabled.

However, I have 2 Wi Fi Radios that will pick up the network but will not connect and go into a network connect time out. One of the radios also has a hardwired connection and that is working fine. I have checked and double checked the network name, WPA key, etc. Of course I have reset all the radios and reenter new data many times, both manually and auto.
