Netgear WNCE2001 Signal To Satellite Receiver

I am sharing wifi with my sister from apartment directly above hers...I can get the wifi and use it for my laptop/computer but have been having trouble keeping it stable for to use it as an internet connection for my satellite.I bought a Netgear wnce2001 (wifi to wired) and it works ok about half the time....the other half the signal is simply to weak to even register the IP address on my satellite receiver.Is there anyway to increase the signal on my end...you know, without having to add a bunch of new gadgets?

I want to connect my satellite receiver to my modem through Ethernet cables. First connect the modem to Ethernet outlet using standard small Ethernet cable.connect Ethernet outlet A to outlet B using Ethernet cable inside the wall.connect outlet B to the receiver using standard small Ethernet cable.I want to know how I make the connection in outlet A and outlet B to make this work.

My brother just updated the firmware on my Netgear N150 router. My computer shows my wireless network and shows full strength, but says unknown error when I try to connect. It does not appear to save the network password (WEP). My bro reverted the firmware, but still no go... Ethernet works fine, but unsure if it is limited to onmy my wifi. The Error Mesage reads: Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason

I just found out I was having packet loss with my toshiba satellite. I have a NetGear WNR3500L freshly installed because the old router (d-ling dir 615) was dropping the connection all the time so we changed it, But now I'm still having problems of lag so I'm well ill do some tests, find out I lose packets so i blame it on the router but then i make the same test on a wired computer wich didnt lose any packets at all. I came to the conclusion it had to be my pc, i did the test both while be wired and wireless.

I have a netgear n600 router and in the room its in i get around 50 down and 12 up but in other rooms it drops significantly(the highest ive gotten is 11 down in other rooms). is there any setting i can go into.

The signal strength usually shows low or very low. I`ve been changing the channels through 1,6,11, but it doesn`t change the signal strength. My modem is a Netgear CGD24N v2. The computer operates ok but i`d like the signal strength to show better than low.

I recently had to switch from a wired network to an (almost) fully wireless one, due to various circustamces.I switched to a Netgear DGN2200v3 modem/router and had to buy an Asus PCE-N15 wireless adapter for my desktop.The connection seems mostly fine on other computers, although it could be tweaked a little. Here, though, it seems just unbearable: My pc loses signal quite often and even when it's constant, sometimes it just goes too slow to actually do anything: even simply loading a page takes a couple minutes!It goes slowly most of the times, although once in a while it decides to do perfectly fine.

I've just bought a new Samsung 3 series laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit). I have two braodband lines at my home (1: Sky with standard Sky wireless router. 2: BT with Netgear wireless router). The Netgear router is primarily used for business but I also use it to connect with my old Dell laptop and my iPad. However I cant seem to connect with my new Samsung laptop to the Netgear router. I want to get rid of the Sky broadband line but neet to get the Netgear line working correctly first.If i turn the Netgear router off and then on again the laptop can see the router and picks up the wireless signal and connects for a few minutes before it drops off and then it can find it again. The laptop does similar with the Sky router except that the connection seems to last longer before it drops off and at least it can always see the Sky wireless signal for me to reconnect again.

Just updated my DTV to a HD receiver which has the ability to access movies/shows via internet so I hard wired my belkin router to the TV receiver and I can't get it to connect. The router light does not go on showing me I am not connecting to the TV receiver. When I go into the DTV receiver it reads all my IP address and has an OK behind them, but says there is an error and the internet is not connected. When I plug the same cable into my PC or my laptop the light on the router does come on. Also my iphone does receive WIFI via the same router. I called DTV and they said everything on the receiver is correct. I called my router folks and they said everything is correct and that it must be the DTV receiver. I've been using this router for several years and their tech guy sounded like he knew what he was doing. how I can get the router to recognize the TV receiver?

Old Configuration:
A 2 Wire 2701HG-B DSL MODEM/Router Upstairs
Wired into 2 PCs upstairs
WiFi to a PC Downstairs.
I killed the DSL service and got U-verse, but that added a new Modem/WiFi downstairs. I still have the 2Wire upstairs, but it has no phone connection.Can I use the 2Wire to "Receive" and "distribute" the WiFi signal from downstairs?
I don't see how to turn off the DSL MODEM. If I put in the ID and Password for the WiFi router downstairs into the 2Wire upstairs, will it "Login" or will it conflict? Are there special settings for the PCs to access the U-Verse router through the 2Wire?Basically, I want to know if the upstairs 2Wire can receive the U-verse signal and convert it to wired signal for the 2 upstairs PCs.

I want to use a D-link WB-2310 wireless router to receive a wireless signal. Downstairs, connected to a cable modem (11MBPS), is an intel iMac running 10.4 that can send out its own wifi signal (internet sharing). Upstairs will be a PowerPC G5 Mac running 10.5 that has no wireless card...I was hoping I could use the router in place of a wireless adapter.

I have a Class HD 9000x 2USB TV receiver. It comes with a wireless connection. I am not able to connect it to my wireless router. When I try to connect it to the wireless router it says "No Wireless device" Although all other wireless devices (Labtop, Mobile) are working fine. I think there are steps to activate the network connection on the receiver.

I have an old PC in my Buenos Aires apartment, connected to WiFi by means of a receiver module - because the modem is across the room and too far to connect by cable...But I get the message that the device would work more efficiently with a high-speed USB port...If I installed a high-speed card inside the computer, would this improe my Internet speed? It hangs up quite a bit... but then again, it's a Pentium III, so there's that limitation too.

Just picked up the Yamaha rx-v867 receiver a few weeks ago. It has an ethernet port so that it can do internet radio (Pandora, etc). Not close enough to the router to go wired. I am getting an old 802.11b router from a family member today. Can I use this as a bridge to send music over the wireless network to the receiver? What steps to successfully setup?
Usually I set up wireless networks with laptops or pc's with wireless cards.

I have a Belkin f5d7234-4 lying around at home. I also have a Panasonic TV which requires a proprietary wifi donge to get a wireless signal, so my question is, can I use the router to recieve my house Wifi (broadcast by my new NetGear Router) and send it out through its Ethernet port to the TV?
I checked, the router doesn't have ddwrt support, I'm new to hacking around with routers and networks, so I don't know how to do this, I see how it is logically possible

I'm trying to configure an snmp notification reciever on WCS 7.0, so that critical alarms get reported to our central console. Following the configuration guide I was able to add the reciever as northbound, but after adding it I get an alarm saying that it is unreachable by WCS so all alarm notification will be suspended. I have tested snmp and ping connectivity between the WCS box and the notification reciever and it works ok, is there some other traffic that I might be missing?. I've seen some packets going from the WCS box to TCP port 7 on the reciever, which as far as I know is the echo service, is that what WCS uses to test connectivity?

I have a Vizio smart tv with built in wifi. I have Centurylink dsl service with a Westell 7500 gateway. All of my wifi devices, including my tv can access the internet appropriately. I also have a wii connected to my tv which can access the internet via wifi. My question is---is there anyway to setup an internet connection to my directv hd receiver using the wifi connection through my tv or wii? I really do not want to buy anymore equipment and I only have one phone line run with dsl service.
