Netgear Wireless Router / Samsung Laptop Not Picking Up Wireless Signal?

I've just bought a new Samsung 3 series laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit). I have two braodband lines at my home (1: Sky with standard Sky wireless router. 2: BT with Netgear wireless router). The Netgear router is primarily used for business but I also use it to connect with my old Dell laptop and my iPad. However I cant seem to connect with my new Samsung laptop to the Netgear router. I want to get rid of the Sky broadband line but neet to get the Netgear line working correctly first.If i turn the Netgear router off and then on again the laptop can see the router and picks up the wireless signal and connects for a few minutes before it drops off and then it can find it again. The laptop does similar with the Sky router except that the connection seems to last longer before it drops off and at least it can always see the Sky wireless signal for me to reconnect again.

Only I have encountered this problem with my Philips 6356 router. I have spent 2.5 hours on the phone to Samsung and to the tech support from the store I bought it from and no one seems to be able to give me a definitive resolution! I can only assume the router is not compatible with the wifi connector in the laptop.

For some reason the laptop my friend brought over is not connecting to the internet and has had a problem connecting to the internet for awhile apparently. At first i thought it was just because his mom accidently hit the hotkey to turn off the wifi so i turned it back on and it still will not connect to the internet. The Mac and the PC i am using to write in this forum work just fine as well as the xbox.

I just bought a Gateway dx4860-Ub33P.I took it to geek squad and had them upgrade the video card to Nvidia geforce GTX 560 as well as upgrading the power supply.When I set up the computer at my home office, the wireless adapter is not picking up the signals. My laptop is picking up the wireless signals just fine so I know it can't be a signal strength issue.My Gateway does detect one very weak network, but not nearly as many as my laptop. I also have Norton Antivirus installed if that is at all useful.

My wifes Toshiba laptop (vista) suddenly stopped picking up the wireless signal on our router. I have checked and updated the atheros driver and it now says there are no problems and everything is working correctly. But still there is no signal being received.

My WRT120N drops signal to Laptop occasionally and I do not understand why. I tried to update the firmware, version 1.0 to 1.0.04, is that a newer version? My next step is to try to update the drivers in the laptop. The dropped signal seems random and only happens with the laptop. Other devices connected work fine.

it might be good to point out first that this was never a problem before i began fixing a completely irrelevant problem (screen broke) with my laptop, which took around three weeks. i could at that time use the internet a couple of rooms away from the router just fine, but now it's a no-go. .
the model is WRT54G, and the serial number is CDFD1F9CJ507.

We have a BRAND NEW Netgear CG3000D-RG wireless router (modem). We have had this modem for just about two months, and have 3 laptops in the house and a XBox 360. We have screaming signal @ 50 megs. However my wifes Compaq Laptop keeps kicking her off the internet. The homepage will load, and sometimes MAYBE one more screen. But then nothing else will load, and the signal bars at the bottom right of the screen get an exclamation point. No other computers have ANY problems, nor does the XBox (which is the only thing that is actually hardwired).

Have netgear wireless internet router from ISP and both pc and laptop have wireless internet access but are not networked together. Don't need to network the two but wish to add wireless printer so can print from each computer. Have ethernet cable connecting wireless printer to router. Will computers now communicate (seperately) with the printer for software installation and subsequent printing use?

I have a desktop and laptop and im on my desktop which has internet...I have a wireless router that is working and its called:NETGEAR WIRELESS-N 150 ROUTER WNR1000V2. The router network comes up on my laptop when I look for avaliable networks but..I try to connect and type in the exact password for the router but says "windows cannot connect to network" On my laptop im running windows vista home premuim service pack 2. My Samsung R780 laptop is just over a year old and has had problems connecting to the internet for almost its entire life.The problem I have is that it seems to pick and choose which routers it will work with, without any logical pattern. I'm in a shared house at the moment, and the router we used to have worked OK from what I could tell (although it had a poor signal). It never actually provided my laptop with a connection unless I boosted the signal, but I assumed that was just due to the fact that it was on the other side of the house.

I have recently been having trouble with my wireless network. My laptop will pick up other networks but not my network. However my iPod and parent's computer will pick up the network that we use. I have a Fujitsu Lifebook N6470 with Windows Vista installed on it. The network adaptor is an Atheros AR5008X Wireless Network Adaptor.

I have a belkin n300 wireless router that i know works because the ps3 connects to it but when i tried to add my desktop to the wireless router i used the installation cd to download onto the computer (which i was then told by belkin tech support that the cd was only for extra stuff like printers..) when i installed the cd it said not reccommended to install because it wasnt windows xp authorized but i did this any ways.. i have also been looking online for diferent things to do to try and get my computer to connect to the router so i have changed things on the computer that i have no idea how to backtrack and take it all back..i tried rrstoring my system to an earlier date and it wont do it. now my computer wont even pick up on a wireless connection.. i then tried to connect directly to the modem (comcast box) and i still couldnt get on internet!

I have a Linksys wrt54g wireless router.I have my modem connected to it through ethernet. All of the lights on my modem are on, except for the standby light which isn't supposed to be on. My router says it has internet and it says wlan is active. But still no internet. I get local only. I went on my setup page for my router. I went to status and its telling me that my ip address, subnet mask, and default gateway are all 0.0.0.0 All 3 dns spots are blank. I did a dhcp release and renew. Still all 0's. I did factory defaults. Still nothing. I did ipconfig /all on my desktop and its listing my dns, my default gateway, my dhcp server, my ipv4 address and my dns suffix.

I bought my dad a Netgear N150 DGN1000 Wireless ADSL Router to replace his D-link router which kept dropping the wireless signal. I have established a wired connection and my ipad, iphone and his old laptop connect wirelessy to it without any problems but I just cannot work out why his laptop won't connect to the internet.It recognises the wireless signal and it says its connected and that the signal is excellent but when I try to go on the web or check emails it just won't work.I've tried deleting all his wireless networks and starting from scratch but don't know what else to tryHis PC is running windows Vista

My router was unpluged twice and then when I plugged it in the third time my laptop won't connect the the wireless network. I could see the network with great signal on the connection list, but when I tried connect to it, it said: "Windows was unable to connect to XXX. I have a dir-655 xtreme N gigabit router with 2.03NA version firmware. The wireless signal will suddenly and randomly disappear from my laptop. I checked the properties of the network connected it remains on the same channel when it reconnects so I figure it's not a channel issue.I have reviewed this forum for hours and have made many changes to my settings, but nothing seems to keep the wireless signal from stopping.

I have updated the OS on my daughters old HP omnibook xe4100 laptop.To update the drivers via the internet I used Netgear WG111 USB.I am not sure how to activate the laptops own wireless facility (if it has such a facility).I checked the device manager. It indicated VIA COMPATIBLE FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER.
