Connection Shows Limited Or No Connectivity
Jan 30, 2012I have a laptop that I usually use physically connected to my router, but sometimes I use it wirelessly when I want to lie down in bed.After using it wirelessly yesterday for about an hour,I brought it back to where I normally connect it with an ethernet cable but not I can't access the internet even with the ethernet cable plugged in! And wireless doesn't work either,I have "Limited or no Connectivity" for my LAN Connection and Wireless. I cannot afford a new computer (and I also doubt I need a new one).

It both said "No Internet Access" Then later IPv6 said "No Network Access" That's the problem i am having on my personal laptop computer. I really am furious that I lost internet connection around 12:15, 12:30, 12:50, 1:30, 2:15, 2:30, and 3:30 A.M. i suddenly lost internet right there. And I heard the internet crew shuts down the internet system every nighttime and fixing it. I want to know why they need to fix it, how long will the repairs last ?

May 3, 2011I lost my internet a few days ago out of the blue. I have been in contact with my internet provider with no success. None of the troubleshooting options have worked and my security software is giving me warnings; but is unable to scan or update. I've rebooted, done a system restore and reset my IP settings via DOS, which has not worked either. I have full connectivity, just can't identify the network and therefore can't get passed to the internet. I have Windows 7.

May 6, 2011ok so ive been messing with my aunts desktop trying to get it to run online.
her network adapter SAYS its connected but when i try to actually go online it says its not connected.
i checked the connection and it does say its connected. it is a fresh install and i reinstalled the driver for the internet.
ive unchecked the automatic config for the net options (saw in some suggestions)

One problem with DIR-655.
Drops wireless connection very often. On the taskbar in wireless network center (next to speaker and time) I can find info: Limited Access. Router doesnt drop internet connection but only wireless connection. Sometimes 3-4 times an hour. It's very annoying especially when you upload large files (for example 16-20MB) to your mailbox. It drops connection and we get Limited Access and you can try to upload again and again. Anotner example during VOIP conversations for example on skype it drops and disconnects skype.Firmware was never updated just router was bought with this firmware. We are located in China so its correct.When laptops are connected using LAN cable it works fine but its impossible to keep laptops connected using LAN cables all the time.The problem occurs only when we are connected by wireless.QOS is enabled, WISH is enabled.When QOS and WISH disabled it's same also drops connections on WIFI.

Aug 17, 2011i am pretty good with computers but this problems got me stumped, my old desktop dell deminsions 4400 will not connect to my home network. So I first reinstalled the driver and plugged the wire in and like magic i had internet. so i took it up stairs, no internet connection. so i whipped out my handy dandy laptop and plug the wire into the cat5 port and i had internet. so this is telling me the wires in my walls are working, my router and modem are working, and my pc is doing something crazy when it changes elevation. I'm about to take it downstairs to see if itll work again

But now I do not have internet access through this laptop although the network icon shows "connected". It is notable that my other desktop is working properly in spite of installing this software.

They have a wired connection since they are close to the router - I'm using wireless.Routinely get 'No Network Access' or 'Limited Access' or 'No Internet' in the Wireless Network Connections box on my laptop and desktop.The person from who I am renting said it was a range issue. I purchased a range extender that plugs into the wall. This problem still persists, even for my laptop that I can take closer to the source.If I release the IP and renew it I can get a connection back but it usually craps out unexpectedly. This makes me think it's not a range issue, especially with the extender.When I look at an IP config report I notice "DHCP Enabled: No" and "Autoconfig. Enabled: Yes". I am not sure if I am sticking my nose in the right area with this last bit of information.

However, the STB services port (range of 27161-27192) will not connect through my router (linksys E4200) automatically or manually (Dtv error code 301). By connecting the receiver directly to my modem, the STB services port will connect as it should. I also have a XB360 (LAN), BluRay Player (LAN), two PCs, & Wireless Bridge connected with absolutely no issues. Each are manually configured with a static IP and the proper ports forwarded.I am STUMPED and FRUSTRATED to say the least.Other than the manual setup of these devices, my networking knowledge is not very broad.Are there any settings or configurations that I may be overlooking?The uPnP is enabled, NAT is enabled, and all firewalls are turned off.

Oct 9, 2011my laptop, which connects fine to all other wireless networks, has trouble on this one. It can browse the web all day, but the second a large file begins to transfer (video, a file download, etc.) it will drop the connection randomly, usually rather quickly. The computer does not need to be restarted to reconnect, it often reconnects on its own near-immediately, though sometimes I have to go to the system tray and reconnect manually.I thought it was too far from the router, but my tower in the same room connects flawlessly, and going in to the same room as the router doesn't work. This same laptop has been fine on every other network, and every other computer is fine on this network. I've web crawled off and on about this for months, but no one's problem is limited to one computer/network combination.

Jul 20, 2012I been struggling to repair my internet connection for more than a month now and i haven't found an answer yet. what happens is that every time i re-start my computer or some some time it just disappeared, my net connection. In order to get my connection back there are a lot of different procedures and mix up that i'll have to go through until one of them hit something and return the connection back up. Below are the action so far i have taken:
1. Re-start my computer.
2. Re-start my router
3. Intentionally plug out and plug in the hard wire connection.
4. Change the adapter settings by disabling and enabling it.
5. Do the re-installment of the network through device manager and so on...
i even have tried re-installing my windows 7 but still the problem persist.i have un-install my built in anti-virus esset thinking it may have some how contributed in the disturbance.

Jan 3, 2012I have a home network that works perfectly fine on all my wireless devices except one of my laptops. I'm getting a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside of it in my connections map from "this computer" to the name of my wireless network. I am running windows 7 and I have no idea what is wrong. It used to work fine and just stopped all of a sudden. I'm not sure if my wife or I messed something up.
