Printer Not Detected On Wireless - How To Change IP Address
Apr 4, 2011
My wireless printer has a permanent IP address but since I have changed broadband providers I do not know how to change this to the new network. The printer cannot be detected on wireless.
I have a multifunctional printer epson cx8300 and have it connected to a print server TP-LINK TL-PS310U in a hope that every PCs on the network can share the printer to do printing and scanning. When I did a test to check if I can send a job to the printer, I could actually print it through the print server. However, the problem now is I can not scan a document. When I went to open windows Fax and Scanner window, unable to see any scanner there. So my question is whether this is the limitation of the epson printer itself or the print server or the scanners do not work on the network.
I have a Netgear WNR612 wireless router, which worked fine for a few weeks. Then something happened and I can't keep the connection anymore. It happened right after I used iTunes to update my iPhone, perhaps a coincidence, but I'm mentioning that just in case. Internet still works fine with ethernet cable straight from the computer, only the wireless connection doesn't work. This happened about a month ago and I haven't been at home much to fix the problem. I have turned off and unplugged everything for several days at a time while gone. I get a Network Error message saying, Windows has detected an IP address conflict. I have tried restoring the router back to factory settings and reinstalling the wireless card. I have tried changing the IP address settings both in the Network and Sharing Center and the router admin page. What I think I should do is change the IP address in Command Prompt, but when I type "ipconfig /release", it says "No operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection 2 while it has its media disconnected" and the same for Local Area Connection. I don't understand what this means, because there is a wireless key in my keyboard and there is a white light (not orange) like there should be. Also in the Network and Sharing Center, I can see that the connections are enabled.
I have been having router/wireless internet issues since my internet provider had to come out and fix the outside lines. Ever since then I get the Network Error: "Windows has detected and IP address conflict" whenever my laptop and my wife's try to use the wireless at the same time. I have tried release/renew of my IP address and also reseting my router to factory settings to no avail.

There are about 3 laptops, one desktop, and 2 gaming consoles that are using the router. Everything connects fine expect the one laptop. It is an ASUS laptop running Windows 7. Whenever the laptop is going to connect to the internet every other device using the internet is stalled for a few moments, then reconnects. The computers then give the IP Address Conflict message. This is extremely frustrating. Sometimes it happens when people are accessing the Web for college assignments, and sometimes gaming, which is annoying to get disconnected from. I have tried to release / renew the IP, but it tells me it can't complete the process.
basically i have a desktop computer which i hook up directly to the router , anyway its coming up as an un identified network on network and sharing area , and when i select "connect to a network it only shows a PPoE Connection . I tried replugging the ethernet cable and it comes up an error message "windows has detected an IP address conflct"
I am getting a window message which is saying ''Window has detected an IP address conflict. there is another pc on this network that is using the same Ip address.
I can usually solve most problems given enough time but after 4x hours work I have admitted defeat.I need the Mac Address of my Wireless printer so I can set mac filters for our laptops and printer. The printer is an HP F4500 all in one wireless printer.I managed to find out how to print a configuration page but there is no ip or mac address on it.Tried Ipconfig /all on the laptop and it only lists the ip and Mac address of the netbook.Phoned HP twice. wasted half hour being transferred all over the place then told to check their tech website. Nothing on their website about obtaining mac address naturally
I use a wireless laptop and a wireless printer with no problems until my lodger's friend comes and connects to the network. That is when I lose printer connection and sometimes get the IP address conflict message. Obviously something to do with his laptop wireless connection
I have recently changed my broadband router and the IP address has changed from X.X.1.1 to X.X.1.247. Previously I had set the IP address of my HP printer to X.X.1.247 so it now clashes with my new router. When I try to access the printer's set up page to change it I of course go to the routers home page. How can I change the printer's IP?
We have a WLC4400 controller with about 30 LAP. We moving to a new IP scope and was wondering what is the best way to change the IP address of the controller. We have tried doing this via GUI however we have to power cycle the controller to get it back online using the old ip address.
what is DOS command to list all servers related to network we are on home network not used to connect to any work network. Yet there are many different network and local servers and services listed as active in task mgr.Do not u have to hire servers
Much of the time my wireless printer is offline relative to computers on my LAN because the IP Address has been changed to some value different than what the computer thinks it should be. So I have to figure out what the IP Address is of the printer then modify the printer port on the PC to point to the correct address. If this only happened rarely or if I could easily remember the steps I have to take to remedy the situation, I guess this would not be such a big deal. But it happens a lot and I'm old and alzheimery. So my question is: how do I get the router to assign the same IP Address to the printer all of the time?

since my network (static ip, cameras, and other boxes) is set up using 10.0.0.xx. How do I change the default ip address on the Linksys e3500 wifi router to 10.0.0.xx?
I have noticed that after the new Firmware Update, the EA4500 will not change to a new public address. I have check my logs and my IP Address is the same going back to a 03/25/2012. I changed my router back to my old E4200V1 and it changes to a new addresses when the old one expires.
When I change my WRT320N routers IP address to use it as an access point only and bring it in the IP range of my ccombined modem/router I'm not able to view the setup page via the new IP address. I have tried to change the IP from the default 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.178.2. After changing and applying the changes I restarted the router and tried to access the router via the new address. This was not possible am I doing something wrong or did I forgot something?
My printer (HP7210) is wired connected to my WRT54GL router. 2 computers have also a wired connection, my laptop is connected wireless. All these computers use the connected printer. 2 computers can only use a static IP-address for the printer. How can I set a static IP address in my router?
need to understand about IP addressing on printer. At work, we have printers with NIC. When the printer was installed first time, I printed the configuration and noticed the printer IP starts with 192.xxx.xxx.xx but when the computer person in-charge installed it the printer IP [code]...
I'm wondering is there a way that i could actually change the IP address of a computer based on its MAC Address that is connected to a network via switch only ? By running some bat file ? I only manage to change a target computer ip,dns, subnet via running the bat file on the physical computer but not through a network with switch.
My IP address was stolen. Someone sent me a file that I was expecting. It had a very misconcieving title. I opened it and it wouldn't work, but I let it slide. A week or two later I found pictures of myself on a forum from a hacker. The file I had opened had been a virus that hacked into my webcam. This creep told me that this had spread to 1000+ people and they all had my IP address. I am so scared! If everyone has my IP address anything could happen. How do I change my IP address without it messing up other settings in my computer and how do I remove this virus from my computer?
I use an online software host. They put print jobs into a queue and send them directly to my printer. I just got a new printer. The software host needs it's "External IP address" I have my internal IP address. I pinged the printer and got my internal IP address instead of the printer's. I am on a home wired network running through a modem and router.
