When I start the internetdiagnostics from windows, he says it's the modem or the connection from laptop, router, modem to internet. However, the lights indicating internet and dsl on the modem are brightly burning and the router shows nothing abnormal too.
I have a WPA2-PSK security, the modem is Zyxel. Also, the ethernetcable portal on my laptop is broken, so I can't do anything non-wireless. My phone has the same problem with this internet, it can get a connection, but no internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI couldn't recover my password so I just created a new account.I just recently bought the ASUS RT-N16 since I switched to a different ISP that provided only a modem.
The problem: Some computers in the house will connect no problem to the network and without trouble. Other computers will be able to connect to the network but it will be restricted. When you go to the internet browser it shows an Asus logo and says: "the cable for ethernet is not plugged in". All the computers are wireless and in fact I am writing this while connected to the RT-N16 (wirelessly). Also, sometimes a computer will boot, I will go into the browser, it will show me that message, I unplug the RT-N16, plug it back in and the internet works again. This happens everyday.
P.S. I would also like to note that I tried connecting to the internet network with a nexus and it showed me the same error while I tried connecting with a samsung galaxy S2 and everything worked just fine. Also we got like 5 computers at home and I'd say 1 computer always connects fine, some don't connect regardless of whether you restart the router or not and some computers work only when you restart the router so I have very mixed feelings about this one...
I have a Linksys wireless router, model WRT160N. My wife got a NUK for Christmas and I can't remember the password to include the NUK in my system. I called support and after sitting on hold for 1/2 hour the tech came on and told me for $29.99 I could get my password reset. I now can't log on to any account including the administrator.I don't have the recovery disk. MS suggests a parallel installation of XP to provide access to the files on the disk. I can do that with any Linux CD. I don't have any data I want to recover. That was all stripped off before I got the PC. I do want to keep all the applications. If I reinstall XP, I will loose all the applications. I now know I can only logon to the administrator account if the PC is connected to the domain server. If I can restore the domain name, I can log on to the PC again.Where is the domain / group info kept and in what format?Is there a way of using a Linux CD to manually edit the XP files to restore / add a domain??

So, I tried so hard to get into emergency page with IE8, Firefox with no success, the only browser can get into it is Google Chrome, but file-upload with Chrome always stuck!!! anyway, I found the SOLUTION!

2. change your PC network adapter configuration "Media Type" to 10mbps full duplex in network adapter configuration->advance settings (hope you know where!)
3. change your PC network IP to 192.168.0.* (any number except 1!)
4. unplug the power from DIR-615, then press-and-hold the reset button while plugging the power back to DIR-615, hold the reset button until the power led-flashing!
5. use firefox to open the dlink-recovery.html which created from step-1, browse the original-firmware and submit. if success upload, you'll able to see the 'flashing' page with percentage counting up.

I'm new to ISE. I want to set up a very basic method for BYOD users to access our wireless network. I've set up an SSID for external Web Auth, where users get redirected to the ISE Guest Portal: [URL]
At that screen, users can enter their Active Directory credentials and login. Although the authentcation shows as successful under Operations -> Authentications, the user is redirected to the device registration page. On that page they see the message "We are unable to determine access privileges in order to access the network. Please contact your administrator." Their device MAC is listed, and they can enter a description but the "Register" button is greyed out.
I'm getting overwhelmed with the amount of documentation available as well as the new terminology. I'm familiar with using Windows RADIUS servers, but ISE is very foreign to me now. Is there any documentation to understand how access requests are processed?
