I had to reset my e1000 to reset my password but now when I plug my router back in it tells me that I am is connected to the internet; however, all web pages fail to load and yield a random error. I went to my default e1000 ip address (192.168.1.1)to try to do the setup, but after the setup (not sure if it even worked/did anything) it still would not connect. How can I get my Linksys e1000 connected again? I'm connected directly through my modem right now.
I'm trying to setup my linksys e1000 router as an access point and I cant figure out how to log in to it to change its settings. I've done every reset procedure I can think of but when I power it up it still shows up as a "security enables network".
I am facing issue with my cisco wireless E1000, the wireless connection on the laptop reset on its own. Its like there is a timer and it reset's the wireless connection after some time. I was unable to measure the time after which it resets but its happening too frequently causing multiple internet apps to fail example if I am downloading something it will fail as the internet connection is reset. The firmware I am running on the rotuer is 2.0.01 and I have configured DHCP on the LAN, I am experiencing this problem with 3 laptop that I use at home which uses both G and N networks.
I forgot it. How do I either find out what it is, or reset the E1000 so I can create a new one? (Connection now working fine. Held the reset button for 30 seconds, and conmnection pops right up again.

Using it w/ my HP laptop since July, just got Mac book and was trying to use w/ that addition laptop but could not find router password, also 192.168.11 would not let me access w/ password: admin, so I reset the router and renamed it. NOW my HP laptop shows my router connected, BUT will not access internet.
I changed my E1000 router name successfully, and then went into the Administration section to change my password. After changing the password and clicking on Save a small screen pops up asking me to verify my router's username and password. When I enter the exact same user name and password it does not accept them. When I try to enter the old user name and password it does not accept them either. I then try combinations of the two and it still will not accept the input. I have reset my router 4 times now and this keeps occurring. I am completely baffled.
I have a Cisco Linksys E1000 wireless router. It has been working perfectly for the last few months until yesterday when I noticed none of my wireless devices could connect. The SSID was still being broadcast and my computers that were connected through an ethernet cable were still able to access the internet fine. Eventually I pressed the red reset button on the back of the router, which reset my router name, password, etc. I set everything back up and was able to connect again. Several hours later the wireless stopped working again. When I launched the Cisco Connect software I was prompted to update some software (possibly the router firmware) so I did that. After that I was able to connect to wireless again. This morning I woke up and wireless was not working again. This time I changed the password for the router and then I was able to connect to wireless again. I tried to change the router password back to the original password and I couldn't connect anymore. When I changed the router password back to the new password I could connect again.
I used Cisco connect to set up guest access with a secure password. Cisco Connect now indicates guess access is allowed and shows the password. However, when I actually try to connect to the guest network, it shows no security at all, and I can join the network without a password.
I can't seem to login to my admin. the IP for me is 192.168.0.1 and I can't login. I tried resetting the router a few times and no luck.Is there ANY other way to reset the username and password?
My sone pushed the reset button and now I cannot get the router to work. I can only connect to the internet if I am connected directly to my modem... the router does not recognize my computer (corresponding # does not light up on the the router). I have tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting everything but it doesn't work.I am using Windows7. How I can begin using the router again? (My knowledge with this I have had it for almost 2 years and is out of warranty... What can I do so I don't have to buy a new one?
I have a Linksys wireless router WRT160N, and its worked fine for the past year, till last night, when I pushed the reset button trying to solve another issue and now my router isnt working. I ran Linksys setup disc and it said I was all up and running, but still cant get online with my laptop through the router.I am at a point where I have my default gateway address 192.168.1.1 and my IP address, but not sure what to do with that to get this issue corrected.
Shareport recognizes the printer only after resetting the DIR-825 router. I don't know if this is a Shareport issue or an issue with the DIR-825 disabling the USB port. This happens after there is no PC connected to the router for a number of hours such as overnight. I have 1 laptop and 1 desktop running Win 7 64-bit and 1 laptop running Win 7 32-bit. The desktop is connected directly to the router and the laptops connect via wifi. All PCs work perfectly when the DIR-825 is reset. This isn't a big issue but it's extremely annoying and shouldn't happen. I use a Cisco WAG320 in my office that has similar USB functionality and this never happens.
I recently bought a new laptop (Asus U47VC) and i am having internet connection issues. When I am at my mother's place or at school, I have no problem connecting to the internet wirelessly. However, at my father's place, my internet stops working every couple hours and will be unable to connect to the network until i reset the router and modem. Once the reset is complete, I am good for another couple hours. All the other devices ( laptops, iphones, etc.) do not have this problem and the connection is never an issue. I have read that this could possibly be a problem regarding IP addresses but I do not quite understand how to fix this.
Save and reset button is not working on Sys log Purge Settings page (Admin > Network > Purge Settings > Sys log Purge Settings) when Email: field is not empty. An Reset button is not working at all. This is the Cisco Prime LMS 4.2.1.
Is it only my LMS server or you all have this bug?
I have a Linksys E1000 router and I have a pc wired to it and 2 laptops connected wirelessly. From my main pc I can see one of the laptops and vice versa, but cannot see the second laptop even though it is on the same network. They are all running win7 64-bit. I can't get the laptop on the same homegroup. I reset the router but I have the same problem. If you go to the router's web page all 3 pc's are detected. If I wire the laptop directly to the router you can see it on the network, just not wirelessly.
I had to do a total recovery on my Toshiba laptop after getting a bad virus. Now I can't get my router to recognize itHow can I reinstall it? I've worked on this computer for several days trying to get rid of the virus (windows recovery) and it was so bad that's when I decided to just do a recovery on it, and I am worn out and would love to be able to just get this last thing fixed
A friend of a friend has a business with 8 computers (3 lap tops) and then desktops. He uses Verizon. I have no idea about how to set this up correctly but, would like to try.He got 2 Linksys routers and asked if I could get them to work on his network. I said I'd try.
There are NO INSTRUCTIONS -
do they go to the "boss computer" and then? I just don't know and feel too stupid to say I'm not sure. It's probably very easy but, it's been years since I've worked on Networks.
I unplugged my Cisco E1000 linksys router and now that I have plugged it back in I am not getting any internet unless I connect directly to my modem...what can I do?
I am trying to Open some ports on a Linksys E1000. When I run the Shield Up test to see the status of my ports the ones I want to open are closed which is normal but when i try to portforward any port the status goes from closed to stealth. That really does not make any sense to me why when trying to open a port it becomes even more secure then if I did not try to open it. I turned off the firewall and the only thing I see might be the wireless security on the router. I have no idea what that means tho so idk if it is even a firewall.
I have a passphrase for my router that I need changed but I don't know how. I was told that if anyone knows my phrase word that they can access my router.
My modem CAN connect to the Internet but my router CANNOT. I've called my ISP (Brighthouse) and went through a whole process of bypassing the router, restarting the modem for 2 minutes, and restarting the router for 30 seconds. Then I even got assistance from the router's maker (Linksys) by switching the IP address of the router, they said this could be the issue if my modem had the same IP address. I switched it to 192.168.2.1, but still no luck. I do not know what to do now. The new router is a Linksys E1000. I haven't got the specs of my modem yet.
I have a Comcast Router pushing out IP's in the 10.1.10.X range. I want to hookup a Linksys E1000 Router so I can use its wireless & Guest access features. The Linksys is using the 192.168.1.x range. I have a cable from the comcast router running into the Internet port of the Linksys. I have tried changing the Linksys router IP to 10.1.10.x and turning off DHCP. It will not allow me to the internet nor allow the PC connected to it to connect to the PC that is attached to the Comcast Router. I cannot replace the Comcast as it is a combi router/modem.
I own a E1000 router that I use with several wireless machines. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the configuration of the router by typing url...in a browser, be it wireless or weirdly. For example, Firefox displays "Connection has been reinitialized". Furthermore, when I launch Cisco Connect, it only shows the error "Unable to connect to router". I tried to switch my router off and on, but that doesn't work. Totally resetting the router solves the problem, but not definitely. Is there a solution that does not require resetting my router?
My guest can't use my wireless network and I can not add more devices like a ipad2. Got a new ipad2 for my son for Christmas been trying to set it up for Christmas, so on Christmas day I am not trying to do the set up. My problem is I can not get it to log on to the network. I have been putting in the same pass word all my other computers in the house use but it will not work...
