Routers / Switches :: Bluetooth And Wireless Internet Is Connected But Not LAN
May 6, 2012
Bluetooth and wireless internet is connected with my DELL laptop but lan internet(with wire) is not being connected with my DELL laptop. How can I able to connect it?
We are having a workgroup of 12 Pc connected using a switch (hub) having all Windows XP SP2 and some of them registered Kayspersky antivirus 2011. We have internet access using D-Link 2460T (DSL wireless ADSL router) connected to our LAN using a network wire and having DHCP enabled. Everything was working well for 4-5 years but recently a problem appeared.
I have 2 PE routers connected to each other via 2960S and 3750 (non-metro) switches:
[PE1] -- [2960S] -- [3750] -- [2960S] -- [PE2]
I will be sending voice and data traffic between the two and my voice traffic will be marked DSCP EF & EXP 5.
Since the 2960's and 3750's can't match on the EXP bits, I am wondering if the "mls qos trust dscp" command still works. Is the 2960/3750 able to match on DSCP even though there's an MPLS header on top of the IP packet?
I'd like to avoid having to tag my VLAN traffic on the PE and rely on COS to achieve QoS in this case.
I have a Netgear N300 Wireless Router (WNR2000), and I am trying to connect the internet through it. The internet light stays amber, and though the router recognizes it, I can not connect to the internet. My computer also doesn't seem to recognize the router at all. Installation CD will not work either.
N750DB status light is constant amber, router says I am not connected to the internet, but everything on my network is connected and can access the internet.
i want to ask if i can link two routers while they are totally separated of each other over the internet to make a large LAN the two routers are TP link?
How do i connect two internet routers to one IP address range?I currently have one broadband router connected on 172.16.0.3 subnet 255.255.0.0, I have a second line which is a copper ethernet EFM 2Mb line connected using a Cisco 1800 router configured on 172.16.0.254 subnet 255.255.255.0, no DHCP is configured on either router. the dhcp is provided by a windows 2003 server on our LAN which is also configured on the same LAN IP range. if i connect the Cisco router into the same switch as the broadband router my network devices stop working and dont respond.
If i check the broadband router it shows all the connections to it as having the same MAC address as the Cisco router?? if i disconnect the Cisco router everything returns back to normal and works perfectly. What I want to achieve is to be able to run both routers on the same LAN to provide internet access by configuring the pc's to route through a specific router. the DHCP I want to stay routed through my original broadband line. at the same time i want all pc's to access to the lan devices (ie. servers and printers) what the correct configuration would be for the two internet routers would be?
How can I update my router if my Internet won't work with the router connected? Right now my Ethernet line is going directly from my PC to my modem. Belkin N750.
I currently have a RV220W connected over PPTP to the internet. I want to connect with an RV042 with a fixed IP Address. The connection is working, but I always have to add a static route to the remote IP-Adress that I can transmit data.Since my own IP Adress is a dynamic one that changes every day I have to enter every day in the static route as gateway adress the new WAN IP Address.
I have a N450DB wireless N Router model number F9K1105 and I'm connected to the internet with an occasional interuption. The light on the front of the router is blinking orange and I have reset it and powered it down several times with no luck. According to my settings I have the newest firmware and all updates have been performed.
I want to setup an home network with a wireless router and use multiple switches for wired connections through out my home. I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.
with a networking issue that I'm having with the 2nd computer I have trying to connect to the interntet via my Westell 7500 DSL router. I ran the diagnostic tool on the NIC to make sure it working correctly and it is, and so is the cable according the tools; I also verified that myself via unplugging/plugging the cable into the router and it detects eachMy other 2 computers work fine via the router. Here is the ipconfig info;Host Name:XXXXXXPrimary Dns Suffix: (blank)Node Type: HybridIP Routing Enabled: NoWINS Proxy Enabled: NoEthernet Adapter Local Area Connection:Connection-specific DNS suffix: (blank)Description: Intel(R) 82562V-2 10/100 Network ConnectionPhysical Address: 00-1D-09-8D-34-3BDHCP Enabled: Yes
Some day, then my internet jut died. then I got the router restarted(unplugged the electricity and plugged it back in) and it worked for like a day and then it died again. I restarted the router again Internet worked and then some hours later it died again. This problem only happens to me and not anyone else in the house.I'm connected from my pc with and ethernet cable to a switch/HUB where it's then connected to the router.
The connection of the computer before is activating.. after how many days of using,it losses the internet connection.. what is the possible reason for this?
I have an ARRIS modem supplied by Comcast cable. I have an hp pavilion x1958 and want to run internet service to a secondary computer from the same modem. And I don't have money to buy a router. How can I do this the cheapest way?
I have a cricket broadband modem to connect to the internet. I want to use my Dlink di-524 router to share that internet connection with the other computers on my network. How do I do this?
I have a DVR system. Which is configure in DMZ on my firewall. DVR internal IP is 192.168.2.13 and external IP is 27.34.xxx.xx. when I am able to access DVR by using internal IP and it works fine while accessing from the internet it not work proper. Though it prompt for username and password also. After enter the login credential its getting blank. I am able to telnet External IP from internet on port 80.
I have a USB modem connection, and i want to share the connection with two computers and three wireless devices through a sky router. The system OS is Windows 7
I have a Netgear WNR3500L with a Comcast cable modem. The internet was running slow so I rebooted everything. After that I could not see the internet. I tried to reset the Netgear Router, shut down and restart and still the same problem. I plugged the computer directly into the cable modem and everthing works just fine. I'm guessing something happened to the Netgear router but I don't know if it is a setting or something happened to the router itself. The router is about a year old. I can use the default 192.168.1.1 to get into the router but I'm not sure what settings I should try to change.
Want to get on internet with personal laptop. Window that pops up shows [URL] as way to get in but it won't accept the password shown on Net Gear router. What else should we do?
I am able to access the internet. I am running Windows 7 on my laptop and have a wired connection between it and my intergrated router. The internet works fine, but it seems to think that I am not connected to the network. I'm not certain it realized that I even had a network, since when I try to activate media sharing it just gets stuck at "Identifying Network". The whole purpose of this is to be able to play music from my computer on my Xbox 360, alternative solutions for this goal would be good too.

ive been having some issues with my internet, i had an attack on my pc recently by some american orginization, ive reinstalled new windows on my pc, reset my modem, and nothign seems to work, i have too many tunnel adapters in cmd ip config i think, bell canada hooked up my internet lines and they actually joined two or more wires together and strung them up on the neighbours fence and mine and even wrapped it around a tree branch, god knows why they would even do that, maybe they think when the tree grows it will cost me money to fix it and theyll earn from thier mistakes instead of learn from them... anyway this is my ipconfig test results as explained in previous post from someone.Windows IP Configuration[CODE]
Currently i have my wired router connected to my modem, with three desktops connected to it. I just purchased a laptop, and would like to be able to get internet on it, my question is what are my options to get internet on my laptop [wireless] yet still keep the wired connections on the desktops as is? And if thats not an option what would be the easiest solution? My laptop has a built in built-in LAN (802.11n), built-in 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet LAN with RJ-45 connector for quick and easy wired Web connection.
we have a d-link router and anybody that comes to the house cannot connect to the internet. If I don't want just anybody to use our connection, what do I have to do to allow people I want to use it?
