Whenever user from Modem A(192.168.0.1) or Modem B(192.168.0.10) would like to print or scan something using the shared printer, I need to manually plug the cable into either Modem A or Modem B depends on the network the user are currently using.How I do previously is only set DHCP on Modem A and disable DHCP for modem B so that Modem B will share DHCP assigned by Modem A. Both modems connect to the same Switch with the printer cable so both network user can use it together.But the problem now is I have to enable DHCP for both modems and causing the previously method can't be use anymore. So is there any other way that I can link both Modem A and Modem B with each assign different DHCP to link with 1

I have checked and I have the correct IP address of 192.168.1.1. I can ping the router and everything hooked up to the router is now working correctly. I was having problem with the router losing the internet ip address and having to turn everything off and then back on to connect to the internet. So I have to figure out what the IP Address is of the printer then modify the printer port on the PC to point to the correct address. View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a HP laptop (runs Windows 7), and lately when I either turn it on or log back in for the first time in a day, it's not connected to the internet, despite my brother's desktop computer (Windows XP) being connected (it's right beside the router and modem). Before, we would have to just unplug the router for a few seconds and then plug it back in again to get the connection to work again on my laptop, which that alone we don't understand why, as there are periods of time we have no problems connecting on either end, like I just bought this laptop at Christmas and have had no connectivity problems until now. Now however, when we unplug the router and plug it back in, it kicks my brother's computer off the internet despite his connection being good prior to, apparently it loses its IP address when we do that. So then we have to unplug/replug the modem and router plus sometimes restarting my brother's computer to finally get it working again.
