I try to access my router web page with a correct address (192.168.1.1) but on my computer i have this message {Network Error (tcp_error)} but i can access this page from another computer through the network (WHY)
View 1 RepliesUsing QuickVPN from one RV220W to another RV220W I cannot access the Webpage of the remote router. Goes to "CERTIFICATE NOT VALID" then click through that, and the the login page will not come up. Sceen flashes a hint of blue background, then turns white, then just sits there saying "Waiting for response from ???.???.QuickVPN will sucessfully connect and I can use all computers behind the router. Just cannot access the Webpage of the remote router. I can access the Webpage of the local router.Also, when I hookup using QuickVPN from an "Internet Cafe" that is using a Netgear router. I can then access the webpage on both remote routers (of course, depending on whom I QuickVPN'd into at the time).

I have called Cisco on this with no luck. They said to update my JAVA. I am currently JRE 6 Release 30 and still no luck. The Log files reveal nothing and are darn near unreadable since there is no line breaks in the log file. Have to manually edit the log to pick stuff out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently living in student halls, and so far I have been successfully using the halls' provided internet (ethernet port in wall) via a wireless router (belkin wireless ADSL). Until now.I have been unable to connect or the internet either via the router, or by direct connection to the wall.Whilst connected directly into the wall socket via the ethernet cable, my pc still thinks that I am connecting directly into the modem, and still labels the wired LAN connection as 'belkin 54g', despite the router not being connected at all.I have called the technical support for the network, and they have told me that my computer is assigning the wrong ipv4 address, and they had me do a cmd prompt and run ipconfig /reset and ipconfig /renew. This still did not solve the problem, as my PC still tried to connect with the same incorrect IP address. I know the problem is not with the ethernet port or cable, as I have tried in another room that has a working connection, and I still am unable to connect to the internet (DNS error on chrome).

I was told that if i went into Device Manager within my worksation then Advance > Locall Administered Address and set a static IP, when i install AD and it asks to whether set a static or dynamic IP it would continue the install process. IP range 10.33.4.*VLAN 2 is for guest access to the internet IP range 10.10.10.*I have a WLC4402 on the this site with 2 WLANs: CORP on Vlan1 and GUEST on Vlan2.
Branch site (remote) which has 2 Vlans: Vlan1 and Vlan2. Each has its own IP address range.VLAN 1 is the default Vlan and is used for CORPorate traffic. IP range 10.125.15.*VLAN 2 is for guest access to the internet IP range 10.10.11.*I have an 1141 on this site using HREAP.
Locally, if you connect to CORP, you get a CORP ip address and access to CORP network. If you connect to GUEST, you get a guest ip address and guest access to the guest network. Simple so far....
Remotely, if you connect to CORP, you get a CORP ip address 10.125.15.x and access to CORP network (great). If you connect to GUEST, you get a CORP ip address 10.125.15.x and access to CORP network (not great). This is with the HREAP native vlan ID for the access point set to 2 on the controller.If I set the native vlan ID to 1 on the controller, I can not get an IP address at all.If I do not set the native vlan ID on the controller, I can not get an IP address at all.

I kept getting the 401 authorization required message. After all that I reset my router and used the disk to setup again. After that I went again to the 192.168.1.1 and got the request for authorization, entered admin in the PW and it does nothing, just reloads the request and browser keeps connecting. I have WIN 7 HP, use Firefox 5.0 mostly, but tried on IE8 as well and it does the same thing. I am attempting to open a port.

I set up my network, changing the password for the router, and I change the SSID, as well as the encryption password. When I set it up, and after changing passwords etc. I always log off, go back and log on, and it works fine. Once I set up the network, over time, I'll notice a device will no longer connect via wireless. When that happens, I try to log on to the router, and can not connect to the router using either Firefox or IE. When I try, I get Internal Server Error, or just nothing. I can ping the router, and if I run an IPCONFIG at this point, the default gateway does show 192.168.1.1. Every time this starts to happen, I must do a hard reset of the router. Once I do this, I can connect, and log on using the default settings, and re-set everything. This is a HUGE pain, as it takes a lot of time, and happens way too often.

We current have 3 4404 WLCs, and there was a need to duplicate, as much as possible, the configurations on the 4404s, and the design. The 5508 came online as expected. We moved a few access points over to it. The APs got the correct address range. The clients are expected to get addresses in the same scope range as the APs. However, the clients are receiving addresses in the management IP scope.I know there are two "not a good way to do it" in here. Why is the management address range in the DHCP scope, and why are the clients using the same scope as the APs. We are going to change that. For now, the AP and client in the same range has been going on since we rolled out wireless in 2006.The 8 ports on the 5508 are configured for LAG. There is no dedicated port for management. They tell me not to do that on a 5508.

I also have a home server running for remote access to some files and media streaming. I just installed security cameras that I wish to monitor remotely via the internet.I can access my home files over the internet with no issue. However I am unable to access my cameras using the internet. Looking at my router incoming log, I see my request arriving, but I never get to the DVR attached to the camereas for remote viewing.I enabled bridging on the Cisco 678 but this did not solve the issue.

I need to buy a new wired and wireless router so I can sync my new Android 4G phone (I'm in an area with bad cell coverage but I can sync with wi-fi). I have a second house about 200 feet from mine and have 3 Cat5E lines running underground in conduit to it so the lady next door and and her two kids can use the internet (I have 40-50mb service for my business use at home). Problem is that my kids have discovered YouTube, streaming video, video chat, etc. and are burning up my bandwidth.
