I have one router (A) (192.168.0.xxx) that serves as internet gateway. Another two routers (B & C) (192.168.1.xxx & 192.168.2.xxx) that serves two sub-net/network, are connected to this router (A). How can I set it up so that PCs in sub-net C are able to print to network printers in sub-net B? Pls note that I do not have full control over router A.

You can also print to the wireless printer in that room via that wifi modem being local. However, I can no longer print to the wifi printer from anywhere else in my network (I could before I got a new router and wifi modem in there).Would this be a problem with this Switch or with the modem e.g.

Whenever user from Modem A(192.168.0.1) or Modem B(192.168.0.10) would like to print or scan something using the shared printer, I need to manually plug the cable into either Modem A or Modem B depends on the network the user are currently using.How I do previously is only set DHCP on Modem A and disable DHCP for modem B so that Modem B will share DHCP assigned by Modem A. Both modems connect to the same Switch with the printer cable so both network user can use it together.But the problem now is I have to enable DHCP for both modems and causing the previously method can't be use anymore. So is there any other way that I can link both Modem A and Modem B with each assign different DHCP to link with 1

Internet access for all computers seems OK, but printer seems to only print from one computer, and is inconsistant as to which one it will be. Have tried to shut down then restart printer. Have tried to disconnect and reconnect router, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. The PC's that I plug into any of the 8 ports are working fine. However, when I plug in a network printer, it does not work from the network, only from a PC that is also plugged into the RV082, basically locally, using TCPIP
From our data center, I can ping the printer, but the printer shows 'Off-Line'. I even tried to add a TCPIP port, in the printer setup, and it does not see it.
I have one cisco 2851 router and one watchguare firewal currently being used as the main router. I want to connect the cisco as a secondary router on the same network.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer.Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer.All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMe and my friend hucked up a net wort from our houses (bout 50 feet away) he is brodcasting wirelessly, and my desktop is not wireless so i used a laptop to conect to his and conected a hard line to my router and conected it to my pc and bridged the conections.my router starting ip was fixed to 192.168.2.1 and his is set to 192.168.1.1 so itll conect and i turned off my dhcp ip (his is on). my wireless on the router is off. It worked and i have acess to the network and the internet but every once in a wile i get DCed with a windows error saying my ip for my pc is the same as another computer on the networkIs there a way to fix this? did I hook them up right cuse I am not that good a networking

I get low signal strength downstairs(many walls) and would like to run an Ethernet cable downstairs to my devices. What hardware do I need downstairs to hard wire those devices? However if I try to play the game while connected to the wireless then my friend is unable to connect to the game. I looked in the router setup to find my current public ip address from Comcast say its 98.221.99.99. If I am on the same network as the machine that is receiving the port forwards, and I type http:// 98.221.99.99 in a browser, the forwarding works fine.If I am external/not on the same network, typing http:// 98.221.99.99 in a browser times out. I have tried http:// 98.221.99.99:9000 too (9000 is the port I need forwarded) and that doesn work either.But, I do have remote management enabled for the router and if I am external/not on the same network and I enter http:// 98.221.99.99:8080 in a browser, I get the router login screen and can enter my user name and password and login to the router just fine.

The internet works fine, but it seems to think that I am not connected to the network. I'm not certain it realized that I even had a network, since when I try to activate media sharing it just gets stuck at "Identifying Network". I go into setup of the router and see where one can add info but am at a loss what to enter. I tried, merely by guessing, applied the info, and screwed up my networking. I couldn't even get into my router to revert back, cause i couldn't get on line...finally i reset manually my router and all is well again, except when i see a list of nearby network users, mine is the only one that says unsecured.
