You can also print to the wireless printer in that room via that wifi modem being local. Whenever user from Modem A(192.168.0.1) or Modem B(192.168.0.10) would like to print or scan something using the shared printer, I need to manually plug the cable into either Modem A or Modem B depends on the network the user are currently using.How I do previously is only set DHCP on Modem A and disable DHCP for modem B so that Modem B will share DHCP assigned by Modem A. Both modems connect to the same Switch with the printer cable so both network user can use it together.But the problem now is I have to enable DHCP for both modems and causing the previously method can't be use anymore. So is there any other way that I can link both Modem A and Modem B with each assign different DHCP to link with 1

Internet access for all computers seems OK, but printer seems to only print from one computer, and is inconsistant as to which one it will be. Have tried to shut down then restart printer. View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot re-install my network printer via the USR web-print server at the URL identified by my USR5461 router page in Win XP SP3 even though it has worked for years. When I try to type in or cut & paste insert the URL for the web print server per USR's instructions, from the router home page, I get an error message that the printer was not found (even if I cut and paste the URL directly from my router's setup home page). The router home page indicates the printer status is "ready". In all other respects the router works fine for home networking and internet.I suspect I may have to manually set up an internet port for the printer but don't know how to do that in XP apparently.

The PC's that I plug into any of the 8 ports are working fine. However, when I plug in a network printer, it does not work from the network, only from a PC that is also plugged into the RV082, basically locally, using TCPIP
From our data center, I can ping the printer, but the printer shows 'Off-Line'. I even tried to add a TCPIP port, in the printer setup, and it does not see it.

Everything seems so good until I setting up the printer server. Resources CD contains the "USB Print Service Client Setup" but the User Guide said that I have to install "TP-LINK USB Printer Controller Setup". First, I tried to install "USB Print Service Client Setup", nothing change but a small icon in taskbar allow me to start and stop service, no dialog box said me how to install printer driver. I look in tp-link website and get "TP-LINK USB Printer Controller Setup", install it but it can not detect my printer. What should I do now because I cannot uninstall "USB Print Service Client Setup"?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer.Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer.All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.

I get low signal strength downstairs(many walls) and would like to run an Ethernet cable downstairs to my devices. What hardware do I need downstairs to hard wire those devices?
