View 2 RepliesI have an Epson Stylus D88 printer connected by USB to my Windows XP desktop that is connected to my router by an ethernet cable.
I would like to print through that printer from my Win7 laptop wirelessly, but when I follow the "add printer" steps I get told; "Windows can't find a driver for EPSON Stylus D88 Series on the network. To locate one manually, click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel and consult your network administrator or the printer manufacturer's website."
just bought a gateway dx4860 with wifi and a epson printer stylus nx230 wifi also. im having a problem to connect it wireless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an Epson XP-205 Wi-Fi printer, and I set it up on my network and installed the drivers to my laptop, initially I could print over the network, but since a restart I can't. I have tried an uninstall and reinstall of the printer, but to no avail and if it matters, I'm running W7 64-bit.
I've ensured the printing programs are part of my firewall exclusion rules, and I can access the printers set up page via 192.168.1.3, also as expected, the printer is "pingable". On top of this my Android tablet is able to send things to the printer, so I'm sure it is an issue with my laptop.
I have a multifunctional printer epson cx8300 and have it connected to a print server TP-LINK TL-PS310U in a hope that every PCs on the network can share the printer to do printing and scanning. When I did a test to check if I can send a job to the printer, I could actually print it through the print server. However, the problem now is I can not scan a document. When I went to open windows Fax and Scanner window, unable to see any scanner there. So my question is whether this is the limitation of the epson printer itself or the print server or the scanners do not work on the network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently i bought a new printer: Epson SX620FW, I've tried many things, but I can't connect it wireless to my network. Ive downloaded and installed the latest drivers and software from the internet. My PC is connected with a cable to my wireless router. When I connect the printer with a cable to my router everything works perfectly. But I want to connect my printer wireless. On the printer I disconnect the cable. I followed the wireless wizard setup on the printer and I connect to my wireless router. This is confirmed by an ip adress on the printer. Also in the menu of my router I find the ip adres of my printer in the DHCP clients list. So far so good. But from my PC I can not find the printer in my network. I also cant ping my printers ipadres. When I connect the UTP cable to my printer again, I can ping the ip of my printer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe printer, EPSON SX515W Series, is connected to the old computer, plugged in. The other laptops were not connected to the printer and would print as wireless. However now only the old computer prints directly to the printer, the other laptops fail to print it says that the laptop has the EPSON printer as it's default printer yet when ever I try to print, an exclamation mark in yellow triangle appears on the icon, in the control panel>printer section. Troubleshoot does not fix the problem either. The other problem is I can't remember how this was set up as my dad did it, and he will kill me if I don't fix it back. Also the old computer is different to the laptops. Old computer has Windows XP, and the laptops are vista.

Problem with that is they don't have CD drives. Am I thinking along the right lines here? If so, is it possible to drag the info onto a memory stick, insert into laptop and off I go?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use an EPSON WF2530 printer over wifi from my laptop Everythings fine until the printer gets turned off and on and the router assigns a new (different) IP address via DHCP.
I can run:
sudo nmap -PR -sP 192.168.1.1/24
which returns a list of MAC addresses and IP addresses on the LAN and then manually set the printer properties to the new IP address or I can log into the WiFi router and inspect the DHCP table then do the same thing What I'd really like to be able to do is have Ubuntu handle this automatically, e.g. it queries the MAC addresses on the LAN, finds the printer, extracts the current IP address and sets the printer properties appropriately? have to check the printers IP address every time I want to use it.I don't want to go down the route of having a static IP table

I have a printer (epson cx6600) I wanted to connect to our router here so everyone can print to it. It only has a usb connector (which you would typically connect to your pc)... I did notice they have usb to lan cables out there and was going to buy one and connect it to the router that way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to an Epson WF 545 to connect to a wireless network. I get an error message when it fails to connect to a networked iMac. The message says, "Entered security key/password does not match the one set for your router/access point."Several weeks ago, I had to reset my wireless network password/security key. That reset worked for our 3 PCs and 2 Macs including this iMac...the one that now doesn't connect to the wireless printer or maybe vice versa...why the iMac can't connect to the Epson (or vice versa), but the iMac does connect to the wireless network, and in order to do that, it makes use of the new network password / security key that I just put in the Epson to set it up in the network. Can you tell me if the wireless router somehow has a password / security key that I did not change when I changed the wireless network security key? The new network password/security key that I entered in the Epson is correct.

I have tried to reset the router also but this had no effect. the units plugged in via wire are working ok it is just something to do with the wirless signal.

They work great but they are "unsecured networks". I'd like to change that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an established wireless network, using a wired Dell desktop (XP), wireless HP G70-250US notebook (Vista), wireless HP Officejet 650 E709n printer, and Belkin N600 router. To make a long story shorter, both my cable company and Belkin were involved to set up the router a few months ago, and I was assigned an SSID and password that I now want to change. I've received emails from Belkin on changing it at the router - but when it comes to my notebook computer, how to establish a network - I'd like to know how to change the SSID and password in an already-established network, once I've made changes with the router. I'm assuming this is possible? It is my understanding that I don't need to make any changes with my wired desktop, other than to use it when making the router changes? I'm a little familiar with the network configuration setting process with my printer, so am pretty sure I can handle that.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased an E4200 and got it up & running. Everything was fine, until I connected a Wi-Fi DVD player to it. I followed the DVD player procedure, which was to push the WPS button on the router, and then the appropriate button on the DVD player. After a few seconds, the player connected, and I successfully accessed YouTube through it.
So far, so good -- except that it turns out that the router, on its own, changed the SSID and password. When I could not get Wi-Fi access on my iPhone, I checked the Wi-Fi settings, and instead of the original SSID of the E4200 -- let's say ShadeTree -- it was changed to Cisco_WPS_xxxxx (the X's represent numbers). I started Cisco Connect, and a screen came up showing that the password had been changed from the original, and listed both the original and new passwords.
What is going on? Why would the E4200 change the SSID and password all by itself, when I connected a Wi-Fi equipped DVD player with WPS? Is this going to happen when I connect a Wi-Fi equipped TV set, or some other component? What can I do to keep the E4200 from changing the network name and password all by itself? Or am I going to have to re-program every other Wi-Fi device (iPad, iPhone, etc.) every time I add a new component?
i set up the WAP4410N and it can be connected with our router. But it's not protected by our password, but once i have set the password of WAP4410N by changing the security mode to WEP, now i will prompted to password when I connect the AP, but it shows limited connectivity, I can't even access my local LAN resources at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am setting up a guest WLAN network on our existing 1242 AP's using a seperate VLAN. On most wireless devices which are on the company network/VLAN's, I have used WEP authentication with hex keys, and no broadcast. Obviously this cannot be the same for a guest internet connection. We want to have the VLAN/SSID in guest mode (which i have configured) for broadcasting, and then once someone selects the SSID on their laptop or smart phone, they are just prompted to authenticate with a standard alphanumeric password (example "guestwifi") instead of a 40 or 128 bit key.
I have searched all over and tried multiple things in the CLI on AP1, but can't seem to get anywhere.
I purchased what I think is a new EA4500 but the box was not sealed. On setup it had a SSID name of Mischief Dolphin populated with a random password. Is this a default or was perhaps this router already setup (used)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to default my wireless router " Netgear WGR14V6" and since then I haven't been able to connect with my wireless card. I can physically connect to it with a cable but I can't access it with the wireless card. When I look at the properties it says that it is working fine but I can't seem to find where to change the "SSID and the security phrase". Usually when it is up and running it has a status button and when you click on it there is a tab that you click on and it shows you the SSID and the rest, but now since it is not connected there isn't anything that I can find to change this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe EA4500 web-settings application asks for a username and password. The username is "admin" and the password is my long (60 character) wpa key. I see where I can change the password but it says I'll lose all wireless connections. This doesn't make sense to me. I would think the router administration username and password are completely separate from the ssid and wpa key. This was the case with my earlier LinkSys router. I'd like a router administration username to be something other than the generic "admin" and a password that is easier than my long wpa key. I want a separate ssid and wpa key (what I currently have).
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, I bought the E3200, and tried to configure its ports for gaming. Yet, whenever I would hit save settings, it would say my settings were saved, then return me to the settings page. But the settings would be blank. I tried downloading firmware from the website (which should say September 28), yet it still says I am running the firmware from September 1st, even after I applied the upgrade and followed through with the 50 second reboot process.
So, I guess my final question for any tech savvy person out there is "What is wrong with my router/firmware?" I am running the browser config in the most recent Firefox on the same MacBook I used to install the router, and haven't changed any settings other than the SSID and password.
I have a macbook and an HP wireless printer.
